Roy will bottle it and Rooney will play and probably in the 10 position. Sterling wide right is not as effective as in the 10 where he should be. Wellbeck will play left so Johnson gets exposed. Cannot see anything other than at best a draw but want to be proven wrong.
-
Whilst I can understand Roy's desire to blend experience with youth I feel that some of the younger players are far too deferential to the old school and as a consequence the style of play becomes disjointed. Sturridge, Sterling & Wellbeck were all knackered after 70 minutes so either fitness levels are suspect or the climate is impacting on energy levels. Might it not be better to inject pace in the last 20-30 minutes than start with it ? Anyone recall how the players appeared liberated in the warm up games when Shrek was subbed? Sticking with the mediocrity of the past will almost certainly deliver more of the same. Uruguay will not play as badly as against Costa Rica but are there for the taking because I believe Suarez isn't fully recovered and is on the bench as a bit of subterfuge. Play the old guard in their preferred positions if you must Roy but dropping them would be the bold choice. Lose this and lose your job I would think.

I think Guided Missile produced a clear definition of what constitutes a Plastic which spawned the creation of the Plastic Saints forum. Maybe this should be resurrected so that we can all judge our degree of Plasticness.

When closed down quickly we do not seem to possess the technical skills to retain possession even against a lowly ranked team such as Honduras. We seem prone to panic in defense and have a few old school players capable of making critical mistakes. Confidence is the key built upon by great team spirit. I suspect we are a little short in both departments as the media frenzy sets unrealistic expectations, yet again. All this " getting out of the group would be a great achievement" that's contradicted almost immediately with " this young team could go far". I really want to enjoy 3 good performances but anticpate 2 losses and a meaningless last game win. Would love my prediction to be proven wrong though.

Morgan Called Up for France WC Squad (Official)

Totally This. -
It's not complete yet. As the season opener gets nearer the quality of opposition will improve as per last year. Chill.

How about this; que te odio, que te odio, maldito mercenario, que te odio.

Bernd Schuster anyone? Available now. Apologies if already sugested. Couldn't be arsed to read 57 pages worth.

I really want to believe that the style of play introduced by MP, the high tempo, fully committed approach which was so entertaining even when we didn't win, I'm thinking Arsenal at home, will be continued and I really hope that RK will act promptly in appointing a quality manager who's leadership will inspire our younger players to stay and whose ambition to improve on past results will see us both entertained and delighted. I fear that I'm sadly deluded.

Me too. Ever since the ****s threw spuds with razor blades embedded back in the 70's at WHL. Cowardly feckers and since then they have been a complete **** magnet. Hoddle, Redknapp, in recent times to name but two. No doubt the horrible bstads will be singing the Poch song to us along with OWTS. I really really hope we do them next year. It might be a churlish reaction even infantile but they are one team I truly despise.

As is also evidenced in the performances of Boro & Charlton over the last 20+ years.

Cortese speaking to BBC for first time since leaving Saints

How about this for completely made up speculative bull****. NC uses the PR opportunity to cast doubt about financial impropriety on his behalf, states his vision/project is still sound allowing him to re-emerge as chairman of Aston Villa after aqcquisition by another money laundering billionaire from Russia/China/Middle East/Far East . It's happening !!! -
1. Will Pochettino remain as manager? Yes 2. If no will we replace with a Great British Manager or a foreign manager? N/A 3. How many of our current first tea will we lose during this window? 2 including Osvaldo 4. How many 8 million pound plus players will we sign during this window. 1

I thought this about Jayrod in his first few matches in the Prem but looked what happened. IMHO the same fate beckons Gallagher. His first goal will inspire confidence and I hope he'll push on.
-
Well chuffed with eigth as I predicted 12th in pre-season. More positives than negatives. Highlights for me: Pre-season in Spain Away win at Liverpool Away draw at OT Lallana's solo goal against Hull Osvaldos goal against Citeh Home performance against Arsenal Coming of age of Luke Shaw Performance's & goals of JayRod Great team performances playing quality football. Lowlights; All the losses particularly against Spurs ( really fecking h8 them) Home draws against Sunderland and West Ham Exit from the FA Cup

How many do you think will be sold if any?
Berudenot2 replied to Barry Sanchez's topic in The Saints
THIS -
Well I'll be renewing irrespective of the motives of the club. What else is there to do on a Saturday at 3pm ( or 5:30pm or Sunday 12:45 or Wednesday 7:45 or any other time dictated by the media)
-
Shrewd or cynical move by the club to get renewals confirmed before any transfer activity ?

Back on topic and IMHO only one = Osvaldo Out of contract players will leave, MOPO stays as do the rest despite some derisory offers from Manure. -
When a team defends as deep as Cardiff did we need our midfield chipping in with shots on goal as our forwards draw the defense out of position. I'm not sure that Jay's pace would have unlocked Cardiff today.

Goalkeeper 1. Peter Shilton Defenders: 2. Jason Dodd 3. Mark Dennis 5. Mark Wright 6. Michael Svennson Midfielders: 7. Matt Le Tissier 4. Steve Williams 11. Adam Lallana Forwards: 9. Keegan 10. Wallace 8. Shearer Manager: Lawrie McMenemy

I can admire what they have achieved and I can admire the mix of academy talent with seasoned professionals ( sort of seems familiar) but I cannot ever bring myself to admire the club, the moronic element of their fan base and their arrogant beyond belief former manager. Let's never forget the grey shirts excuse the total ****.

Get out of jail card ?

This. Tournament experience with Euro 2016 in mind as we won't get beyond the group stage at this WC IMHO.
