I was just thinking about our lack of goals and had a look if there was an old thread about it & found this one...
So.... **BUMP**
We were apparently very close to a striker near deadline day with Jay going out on loan.
I'm wondering if we will re-visit that... Or *fingers-crossed* Jay can find some sort of confidence & form before January.
I'm a little cautious about this news. I like how we are at the moment. We've made fantastic strides and it's a ride I don't want to end. You can do due-diligence, but their intentions can't always be guranteed.
I love that Kat just leaves football decisions to Les etc & we just get on with it.
(Props to Monk for posting about this news some time ago)
I don't believe we've utilised any "over-aged" outfield players in this so far?
But I really wouldn't object to seeing Jay Rod featuring for some confidence & sharpness.
Long term he's certainly the most at risk.
I only agreed with the team above as Claude normally switches the shuttle midfielders.
He started him vs Chelsea & City, so can't see him being worried about playing him vs Hull.
I'm desperate for Jay to find his form again.
He does strike me who needs some match sharpness in the U23's rather than vs Inter Milan though.
(Please prove me wrong tonight, Jay)
