  1. Holy sh*t! RIP & Thank you Markus
  2. Bristol City bid for Matt Phillips http://www.skysports.com/story/0,19528,11688_6306475,00.html Doh.
  3. Says Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain is in because we lack the pace that Antonio gave us - He said that Chamberlain will come under some competition (soon) - Nearest we got to any transfer news!
  4. I took it as just commenting on speculation - Adu got a mention too. Pards is on in a min - Wonder if we'll get anything new on transfers other than 'no comment'
  5. Brilliant stuff, mate.
  6. Think we just found out where all those missing pies went at half-time, lads....
  7. Pards not commenting on transfers on his Solent interview just now.
  8. Frustrating, but being a Saints fan it all had a little bit of inevitability about it. 1st half was great at times. Nice flowing football, played on the deck, great penetration down both flanks (the left side in particular) – But I never felt we had the aerial power to do them any damage. 1st half set pieces were good too. We just lacked a little bit of power, pace & guile in central areas to carve them open. 2nd half was just one of those typical bloody Saints moments. Bad defending for the goal and it sucked the collected life out of everyone. We didn’t we really do much until Lallana came on – I thought he looked great considering he’s had no match time. Everyone else just kind of wilted, the longer the game went on (Punch & Morgan in particular). Still, with a bit more luck, we could’ve blagged a late equaliser. No need to panic. Rickie would’ve had a couple in the 1st half alone if he was playing
  9. Nah, we'd be 33.333% (recurring) complete -- Still need our central midfielder & striker please. Having Antonio back would be a massive boost IMO.
  10. Norwich will be fine. They've got goals galore in them. Dodgy at the back, but they did have 6 news players in there tonight. Watford looked impressive. They've already made an infinte improvement on last season anyway
  11. Kayne McClaggon has either signed for, or is on trial with Salisbury.
  12. Bloody hell, that happened fast! - Coppell's building a pretty damn good team. I'm impressed.
  13. Antonio, Phillips, Frimpong & Vokes would make me even happier
  14. Scouting Report... http://www.guardian.co.uk/sport/blog/2009/mar/10/wycombe-leaguetwofootball
  15. Yeah, I was hoping to be 100% confident going into the season : A couple of months ago I had this great vision in my minds-eye of a full & proper pre-season (as opposed to last year) and a super-fit squad, with our 5-6 signings all bedded in. But we kind of go into it with 4 key players doubtful, and no great cover in for Morgan/Punch/Lallana. Still - I think we've got enough to see off the Pilgrims though.
  16. Now signed on a short term deal with a chance of facing us this weekend http://www.skysports.com/story/0,19528,12874_6293179,00.html
  17. Pretty sure he's injured.
  18. Agree totally. IF he stayed fit, he'd be an outstanding signing at this level (and the Championship)
  19. Stock in talks over new contract with Donny http://www.skysports.com/story/0,19528,11688_6292801,00.html (What is it with all our targets doing that?!)
  20. Not sure they are skint now. I can't imagine Ambrose signed a new cut-price new contract. Danns would've joined us last year if he wanted to come here.
  21. -- Palace have offered Danns a new contract http://www.skysports.com/story/0,19528,11706_6286039,00.html -- Hull looking to land Bostock http://www.skysports.com/story/0,19528,11688_6286070,00.html -- Darius Henderson injured (scratch him off the list) http://www.skysports.com/story/0,19528,11688_6285977,00.html
  22. Must be something in the water up in East Anglia - Didn't their young keeper Shane Supple quit football because he 'fell out of love with the game?' Agree about Garvan too - Hell of a player for this level.
  23. This is going back sometime....... Igor Korneev
  24. I think he'd be a hell of a signing for 600k. Pace to burn, naturally left footed, proven strike rate at this level, the option to play him out wide. Sign him up, Pards.
  25. Ryan Dickson should be a hell of a player by all accounts - He seemed to dominate the MOM polls on the Brentford forums.
