The OP does not tell us anything - I am not sure what the point of it was. FWIW I was pleased with what Pardew did for us but we have moved on and I am more than pleased with his replacement.

Good players don't become bad players. They become unfit players or out of form players but not bad players. Beattie was good at one time for the right manager - in his case Strachan. If he was signed on the same basis as Connelly originally was then I cannot see how we lose. If he came over Billy BB then I suspect the rest of the squad would sort him. FWIW I don't think that he would and I would be surprised if, in our set up, we couldn't get him firing again.

He is a very good striker, but we already have very good strikers as our position in the league indicates. We can't sign everybody. And yes, he is a good acquisition for Brighton but we don't actually need him.
