  1. Being the only team to think breaking with pace on the opposition involves stopping turning back to our own goal and passing to our CB...
  2. I guess that might explain that then
  3. yeah but I still find time to go the games
  4. we are good at pre-match montages reminding us that we had good players who scored goals once...
  5. Yeah but at least we got Chinese dragons dancing around before the match and little red envelopes handed out to the kids nothing screams English football like celebrating Chinese new year. It's paying attention to those little details in the pre match warm up that have made the club what it is today....
  6. Like spend all your time on here...
  7. Pretty much.
  8. Got no hope with our squad then...
  9. Cedric got forward a fair few times just not to any great effect his final ball being as usual **** poor. Liverpool's first goal bypassed our whole midfield in like two touches because we had pressed up to high.
  10. Lemina had gone down twice after Oxo had done a number on him and needed the physio to come on. I imagine they were worried about him missing out more of the season and got him off as a precaution
  11. Seems to me this in age thing looks like a lot of those thinking of giving up have had an ST since year dot and basically just outgrown match day. Seems like a nice stream on the Ipad, cup of Horlicks and favorite tartan blanket is appealing more than a cold day in Jan comes to us all as we get older and grumpier I guess ?
  12. See I thought we set up far to open against a team like Liverpool pushing our full backs up and playing a high line was just an invite to their front line. We tried to play like we always do which slow and ponderous possession football with no cutting edge which to me isn't the same thing as a well drilled defensive performance.
  13. At this point we can't do any worse who ever we get in. My gut feeling is we are gone now anyway so a change can't make things any worse. The thing is its fine putting names out on a forum but I don't think many managers would see us as a very attractive option right now.
  14. I don't think anyone is going argue that.
  15. I keep reading people saying that he is but I'd argue he isn't. Boring, unadventurous, obsessed by possession and ponderous certainly but defensive no way. A defensive manager yesterday would have parked the bus and looked to play on the break but we were open as hell. Not a week goes by when some team doesn't just carve through our defence like a hot knife. Under Koeman, even under Puel, the defence was generally solid but this season its awful. Sure we've lost some good CBs in recent seasons but a good defensive manager (like Dyche) would at least make us hard to break down.
  16. It's going to be one of those days. Stopped for petrol on the way into work this morning as I'm walking out I'm confronted by a copy of 4-4-2 with a picture of a grinning Mo Salah.. Next up a morning of **** taking from the plastic pool fans at work... Lovely
  17. What's even more worrying is that a bunch of highly paid professionals need someone to make them "raise their game and put up a fight" surely they don't need some sort of Churchillian speech before every game to realize we are trouble. You'd think, at this point, if nothing else professional pride would make them go out their and fight tooth and nail regardless of the manager its almost like the players don't care if they get relegated (and I guess most don't figuring they'll just force a cushy move to another team complete with a nice little signing on fee)
  18. Still think he flatters to deceive. One two WOW moments a season and then a lot of not much.
  19. never had Hughes down as a golden showers type of guy...
  20. I don't see Burnely's defence making constant mistakes like ours, and that's not down to the manager either, these are professional footballers who can't clear a ball properly, find a pass to a team mate under no pressure or put in a cross that actually finds its way into the box. The manager has many faults but when the players get on the pitch they should be able, as highly paid professionals, of performing the basics of football.
  21. I'll be fine in 24hrs got to get through tomorrow morning with Liverpool plastics at work first though...
  22. I'm a saints fan if I can afford it I renew. Being a fan means taking the bad times as well as the good.
  23. you will.... Klopp....
  24. He can **** off and take most of the useless ****ing ****s masquerading as professional footballers with him. We need a new manager and a major squad overhaul to many ****e transfer windows have killed us.
