I think Wilkins was in charge for three games (2 league one cup I think) and we lost all of them as I recall. It took Adkins a while to get us playing well.

That is a myth Boufal has made very little happen in the last two seasons (and don't give me that lack of game time bull either he has plenty of opportunities now) he flatters to deceive most of the time. I get why fans like him he is exciting to watch and has great ball skills. However the number of games where he has any really impact is tiny 'boro in the cup last season, WBA at home this season and arguably as a sub against Newcastle at home. I don't mind him being in the squad but really we need to put to bed this idea he is the only player in our squad that makes things happen. On current form JWP is far more likely to effect games than Boufal.

Wasn't he our top scorer in the league last season (not that he had much competition) with 7 goals?

Wasn't Rochdale the home game after Pardew was sacked and Wilkins was in charge?

He has way more pace than Tadic or JWP especially with the ball at his feet. His problem is confidence. He is to scared to take people on and nine times out of ten elects to make an easy pass back. It doesn't help he is always played on the left when he would probably be better on the right getting chalk on his boots.

Pretty much. I'm beyond caring if we play nice football for the rest of the season all that matters is points if that means loads of negative defensive football (though with our defence ) or gung ho attacking football (though with our attacking players ) or something else in between I don't care as long as we win.

we don't really have the luxury of games left, to give them time, to become the finished articles though right now they need them to be on it ever week... or we are playing in the championship next season.

I know Yoshida was injured today but as our most experience CB left surely he has to play along side either Hoedt or Stephens together they just look to inexperienced and liable to mistakes. its not just the CBs though our full backs are having some poor games yet they know their places aren't under threat, no matter how ****e they are, because the back ups are not nearly as good.

Had Forster been playing today we would have lost 6-2

You could get away with one or the other with a proper experienced big CB who is good in the air but both together is a recipe for ****e defending.

When you think of the CBs we have in recent seasons these two just aren't the same standard they both seem to have a "oh ****" moment in them every game (some times more than once a game)

I'm starting think even Pulis would have trouble making our defence look tight our CBs seem incapable of doing a good old fashioned Row Z when its required

You can see why both these sides are in the relegation zone both defenses are complete turd.

Remember when we had a solid reliable defence and decent attacking players who scored goals..... Now we are like the Keystone Cops at the back and attack as blunt as a butter knife.
