If Liverpool want him so bad ( and I'm sure they do) why didn't they just get him in the summer? It wouldn't have been hard if we were the only competition. Surely it would have cost them less than what we will undoubtedly demand in transfer fees? It's almost like the Liverpool scouting team are blind until a player puts on a saints shirt when suddenly they are desperate to sign them. It's bloody weird not mention expensive for them.

Just look on the bright side people. Liverpool have hovered up practically half a team of ex saints but now the saints well is all but dry. Next season (after Bertrand and Lemina are sold to them this summer) we will be in the championship and Liverpool will stop raiding us every summer and move on to a new PL minnow to molest.....every cloud

On the plus side once we are back in the championship we won't have to go through the annual Liverpool/spurs/ utd player grab....

Well I'd take Burnley's CBs over our calamity duo, Pope (GK) seems to be having a good season and Jack Cork is arguably as good as Romeu and HoJ.

Lets be fair most teams outside the top six (and Man U) play that way. Burnley are sitting in 7th by playing that way all season. Nothing wrong with playing that way if it gets results. Our problem is our defence in particular CBs aren't good enough and we played half a season with calamity Forster in goal so playing defensively is a non starter. So arguably the manager should go for an all out attacking style but then you look at the state of forward line the lack of pace and the inability to finish, breakfast let alone a goal scoring chance, and you realise that probably wouldn't help us much either. The squad has been eroded badly the last two seasons so that central midfield and the first choice full backs are decent but everywhere else is a mess. A squad that can't keep a clean sheet with forwards who don't convert the chances they get are always going to struggle.

On the other hand the championship feels fresh every season. The best teams from the previous season **** off to the PL and new teams come up and down. Most fans in the championship at least feel they have a chance in August while the PL feels like a closed shop right from the off.

For me the league we are in is irrelevant as long as we are doing well and winning more often than not. Losing every week in the championship would suck but being **** in the PL isn't any fun either is it?

He isn't going any where this season, regardless of how we all feel, that should have been clear for some time.

A goal. A draw not really good enough though.

We've left it to late now we should have sacked him in December, got in a new bloke, and backed him January, to try strengthen the weak spots in the squad . I can't see how anyone is going turn it around in the time left now our CBs are awful our attacking players are awful we are going to the championship...

Mean while the likes of Boufal and Hoedt will be agitating for moves away because they are to good to play lower league..

Tbh they can take the ****ing players with them as well unless ****s can't even manage the basics half the time.

They don't. Millionaires who will just go else where if we go down or hang around like a bad smell taking big wages they don't deserve.
