  1. Sat at the train station we were the better side first half totally in control. Second half we were a fecking shambles. Lots of people will complain about Davis being in goal but it was our midfield were we where let down today. JWP was shocking lost the ball so many times, Victor couldn't string two passes together, not the game to chuck on Jordy looked lost. Mane looked out of sorts, pelle's hold up play was non existent and Tadic disappeared in the second half. .
  2. On the plus side if we lose Saints web has a ready made scapegoat to take it out on...
  3. No you are right Kelvin is the only keeper to make mistakes Forster never made any and neither has Stek....
  4. Here we go again. So which top quality goal keepers should we have signed to sit on the bench this season? Could have done what Leicester did, I suppose, and get in a a 42 year old free agent with a big name?
  5. I remember him coming on for the injured Forster last season and pulling off some out standing saves....
  6. On the plus side I saw a stat that said stek has faced the fewest number of shots of any Pl keeper was the same for Forester last season. So maybe Kelv won't have to do much.
  7. So where the **** is stek? no mention of him not being ok to play in the build up to the game over the last few days. Were we keeping it quiet or did injury himself making breakfast this morning?
  8. Which is fine except Judas and jrod used to swap about and Mane and Tadic have, and can, play on both sides. Jrod just isn't comparable in style to Tadic as a player but is much more like Mane in playing style ( ie pace and direct running) same for Tadic like Judas he is a player for the tricks and creating stuff. IMO of course.
  9. Going back to the OP surely it is Mane keeping Jrod out of the team? Pelle - Lambert Tadic - Judas Mane - Jrod
  10. I think Tadic is an excellent player never understood the grief he gets. Its well documented that he played a large part of last season with a groin injury which held him back. Yet despite that he played on often in a lot of pain. There was a good article on him in one of the early match day magazines this season. Apparently he is usually the last player of the training ground staying behind to practice after the other players have hit the showers. He also incurred Koeman's wrath last season when he turned up at Staplewood to train on a players day off. By all accounts he is a very dedicated player who is his own worst critic.
  11. I guess his new agent done the business...
  12. Dan Harding was a cracking free signing for where we were at the time. Clearly not the best player we ever signed or anything but starting in league 1 on minus 10 he was decent. Rahdi jaidi was another decent free during the post take over rebuild.
  13. Read that in my morning coffee break never realised how many clubs Ali (or should that be Aly?) managed to pull his con on. When I look back on it now I find the whole thing quite funny certainly a rather different piece of club history.
  14. You'd have to remember back four seasons for that so what championship year? I seem to remember Morgan being pretty bloody good by the time he was twenty.
  15. Think we should stop using his age as an excuse. His age has very little to do with anything Ross Barkley is only a few months older, Raheem Sterling is the same age. Both Walcott and Oxo looked much better players at a younger age. JWP is a decent PL squad player but that is all he is right now.
  16. Playing for Eastleigh to link up with Dan Harding.... Wouldn't be surprised to see him end up in some capacity in the academy HTBH or maybe he is looking forward to long (long) comfortable retirement that many of us could only dream of?
  17. Is JWP better than any of the players you mentioned? JWP will no doubt play for England but considering the lack of decent midfielders that's probably not a surprise. The only England midfielder I really rate is Ross Barkley and even he isn't the finished article.
  18. Looks like Klopp is enjoying himself in Liverpool http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-england-manchester-34499859
  19. I see big Sam becoming Sunderland manager has barely raised a whisper while the Klopp-gasm is in full effect.
  20. Pelle will be here until Koeman's contact runs out and the new manager might not want to play with a target man/Centre forward so we might not need a like for like replacement for Pelle anyway.
  21. He was in the PL team of the year FFS
  22. Not in my book. Shaw does have age on his side though.
  23. Its going to take time to increase that though and it has gone up 21% in a year which is pretty good going Imo.
  24. Lol financial results for last year show a 21% increase in commercial revenue
