  1. That doesn't answer the question. What is so special about the PL ...other than it's superior marketing division. How has the saints match day experince changed to justify the increase in ticket prices? Why are you happy to pay more to watch Lambert and co play Arsenal than cardiff? Just interested
  2. So can anyone explain why prices have to go up? The way I see it I will be sat in the same staduim, watching the same players(mostly), under the same manager (unless the rumours are true) the match day experince will be different how (apart from the fact there will be less match days)? Our club claims to be debt free has just been given a 50 million windfall andthe first thing they do is hike the prices up cuase it's the PL...other than getting to see Wayne Rooney live I'm at a loss what the PL actually gives the average football fan. On the other hand can't blame the club for jumping on the band wagon..
  3. Block 20 is in the family stand. Somone pointed out in the season ticket price thread that the ticket office have told them that you can't have a seat in the family stand unless you have a childs ticket so get ready for the club to move you into the chapel...
  4. I'm not sure anyone knows...I'm not even sure if the club knows...but it is a great soundbite
  5. ^^ this of course he should have a job just not as a well paid footballer IMO...maybe a street cleaner or something.
  6. I can confirm there are lots of green shoots at my work...they were a bit slow this year due to the cold and rain but they are coming up all over the place now...Should keep my lawn mowers and hedge cutters very busy until autmn....
  7. Taking that theroy to it's logical conclusion why bang up anyone at all? They stop being useful members of society (McCormick hasn't payed tax for 3 years after all) and no punishement can undo what's been done ...just tough luck on the victims. In fairness I don't disagree he needs a job and should contribute to society. Under the legal system he has served his time and is a free man. If he had come out of prison and, like most ex prisoners, had to work his way back into the system stacking shelves in tesco or clean public toilets it wouldn't bother me so much. The fact that he has just walked back into the same well payed job he had before his crime doesn't sit well with my own views of justice. Basically after 3 years (not plesant ones I'm sure) this guy, it seems, is just picking up his life were he left off..while his victims are forced to endure a painful life sentance... just doesn't seem right to me.
  8. I'm a dad of two. So looking at this way if some guy had killed my kids after being drunk in charge of a car and then served just three years before picking up his life back in a well payed job....I don't think I'd feel justice had been served.
  9. No idea I don't do twitter. Has someone really been abusing Adam? why?
  10. Luke McCormick is avaliable now he is being released from prision for causing the death of two kids while drink driving ...back up for KD in the Saints totally unsuitable PL 11? http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/0/football/18164015
  11. If only Murty was stilll playing he'd be perfect....
  12. Agreed generally think we will sign players in the early 20s probably from the lower leagues or abroad. Having said that one two older players with PL experince would probably help the team but they'd have to be a) fit b) cheap(ish) So big name stars are probably unlikely. Who would fit the role as a PL Paul Wotton type character (but with some actual footballing ability)?
  13. But wouldn't the powers at be point out that it wasn't an emegency as we have a keeper on the books in Forecast?
  14. Funnily enough I had a text message from my legal team this morning telling me they have calculated how much I'm owed after my accident....Strange though becuase I didn't know I had a legal team or that I had had an accident:uhoh:
  15. Ahhh but Papa Wagio was born in senegal......mmmm Demba Ba or Papa Wagio to close to call:)
  16. Snodgrass has no doubt been mentioned class player and only 24 (he hasn't aged very well I thought he was a lot older) and off course leeds are looking to tie him down...so would be a great time to jump in a grab him. http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/0/football/18147589
  17. ....the ING Direct Value table. Which compares the cost of a PL season ticket with the enjoyment value (expressed in points and goals) that the ticket gives. Man city came top and wolves bottom but Wigan came second. I wonder how we will do next season? This season I thought my season ticket was well worth it's value:) Full article on the BCC here http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/business-18115990
  18. Jaidi is one Brave f ucker if he's going scouting for talent there ......though apparently they have a football team
  19. Even more so if considers Egypt part of French North Africa.... Still all sounds very interesting.....wonder how it will all pan out?
  20. Yeah but I don't remember any of them trying to engineer a pay rise by handing in a transfer request.....
  21. Must of that thread...probably not a great loss:lol:
  22. Oh the one with him NC doing his man a C&A impression on the front cover did that upset people? I don't remember anything on here? Maybe totally out playing Leeds took my mind off what ever it was NC said.
  23. What did he say...I can't even remember the last time NC said anything...which is how I like my chairman quiet, in the background and getting on with the job of running the club.
  24. I know you've had this theroy since the begining but why not sack AP at the end of the Season when we failed to get in to the play offs rather than several games into a new season if your theroy is correct it makes no sense to keep AP on as he had burned his bridges by mid way through our first season in league one. Personally I want Nigel to stay but IMO NC is ruthless enough to get rid of anyone if he feels it's to Saints benefit regardless of what they have done before. I'm not sure I believe Nigel is about to get the heave ho, If I'm honest, but it if happens I wouldn't be surprised either.
