  1. Ahh the water tight football contract well Nigels safe then. Certainaly no one with a contract in football has ever been given the heave ho... Personally I'd like to see Nigel given a crack at the PL but I'm a fan I view football with emotions....NC is a Football chairman he has to for go the emotions. If he thinks Saints are best served with out Nigel. Then Nigel will be gone contract or no contract.
  2. I'm sure I watched a couple of games where Kasper was very good at releasing the ball very quickly to set Leicester up for the quick counter attack. I always find it strange when people say goal keepers are good shot stoppers like it's a bad thing. I'd rather have a keeper good at stopping shots than one that's great at coming for corners and ball distribution but isn't a good shot stopper....
  3. Couldn't you say the same about Nigel? he deserves a chance becuase he has had back to back promotions. What if NC agrees with you though and has someone else lined up...
  4. So he sacked him becuase they got on ....
  5. Sounds mostly like greed http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/0/football/18144259 love this from his agent "It's not about money. It's not all about money. Obviously money comes into the scenario - it always does. No reason not to think some of our players won't feel the same a season down the line...don't expect them to get very far with NC though.
  6. See no one every says what this incident ever was. According to Pardew himself "Obviously there was a breakdown," Pardew told Goals on Sunday. "You have to say the chairman (Nicola Cortese) lost faith in my management and that's all I can assume because there was no other reason. "I can't give an example of why because he's not allowed to talk about it and nor am I. He's a new chairman and I always felt vulnerable. "All you can do is do the job to the best of your ability and I was very proud of the team that we built there and the relationship I had with the players, which was very, very strong." Taken from this http://uk.eurosport.yahoo.com/04102010/58/league-pardew-explains-southampton-sacking.html So If the AP was sacked becuase NC and he fell out, and not for footballing reasons, there is no reason to suspect that NC wouldn't act the same way if him and Nigel fell out back to back promotions or not.
  7. Maybe NC sees Newcastle as a role model after all Houghton got them promoted as champions then got the boot a few months later...few could argue it work out well for Newcastle. I remember the toon fans being in uproar at the time bet they all love AP now. Sacking a successful/popular manager is a risk but the fans soon forget if it works out ..Sheffield wednesday being another example.
  8. So we sacked AP (finished top five in the PL this season) and now we might ditch Nigel becuase we want a manager who could finish in the top six of the PL......mmmm
  9. I haven't seen to many players with such poor ball control with their feet...but then I haven't seen many who could head a ball like Jaidi either.
  10. He wanted regular first team action...I'm guessing that wasn't on the cards moving will probably be his best bet.
  11. If we can of course..If we can't we still need a second keeper. I'm not one for signing lots of average squad players but in this case we need a second keeper, if we can get someone as good as or better the KD great, if not we still need a backup.... unless Nigel feels up to:)
  12. Any other postion I'd agree but top class keepers better than KD aren't exactly ten to penny ...So assuming we can't get better than KD are you suggesting we don't bring in a back up keeper...bit risky unless you think fourpast is up to it?
  13. I can't see it KD has been named the best keeper in his division two seasons in a row, is the club captain and, outwordly at least, seems to have very good relationship with his manager. I can see a new number 2 coming in (in fact that's a must now) but I really can't see KD not being our first choice keeper next season. Personally I'm fine with that he deserves his chance IMO.
  14. I'm not sure thats what we need in the Modern PL HTBH...unless we fancy playing with 10 men every week. Robust (ahem) tackling isn't really allowed anymore.
  15. So we can all look forward to a post apocalyptic future.... Might be to bad if it looks like this then again maybe not..
  16. 16/30:? though as I'm already married with two kids I stopped worrying about impressing woman (other than my wife) years ago. Has anyone done one of these for the perfect woman 1) big tits 2) nymphomanic 3) errr.........no don't really need 30 things
  17. On the beeb now Balram Chainrai makes offer to buy Portsmouth http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/0/football/18123113 No one else is interested...which is not exactly a big shock
  18. They've just off loaded 15 players in attempt to reduce the wage bill to http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/0/football/18091522
  19. Came across this on the Bolton forum We've got some superb away days, I'm so glad pointless clubs like Reading and Southampton have gone up now we're down. For some reason being called a pointless club by a Bolton fan ...really ****es me off. Though they did cheer me up with this little gem WE are now the big fish, the team everyone wants to beat, the man united/man city of the championship and i cant wait for these teams away games I think they may be in for a shock...
  20. Really? how many can you see on here who actually think he is coming ...
  21. Haha thats good...and pretty accurate
  22. I see the Owen to saints bandwagon has started rolling John Roberts‏@gingeybabes Owen to Saints would be perfect. Lambert's touch and ability combined with Owen's movement and finishing would be deadly. #bbcsportsday Lets lobby the club and make this a reality ....after all with Lee Holmes and (most likely) David Connolly leaving the Medical room needs a new occupant....
