?????? what has that got to do with anything? were they signed up by top teams (and retained) as youngsters...no they weren't yet next season they'll both be playing in the PL. The idea that Antonio has some how proved he is not up to it becuase at 22 a championship team hasn't taken a punt on him is complete nonsense.

I'm still glad he played for us though...I think he helped to make the first season in league one a fun one.....gave us all a good laugh and helped us win the JPT that last gasp goal against Norwich in the JPT run was got me jumping around like a loon.

LOL well seeing as the likes of Kebe, Adomah and Ince had no trouble giving fox the run around I'm pretty sure the likes of Gabriel Agbonlahor and Nathan Dyer will have no trouble. IMO if we play the same system we've played most of this season our fullbacks aren't going to cope with a lot of good PL players we struggled against decent championship wingers this season. Now if Nigel is planning to play a system that gives more protection to our fullbacks then we might be alright.

Personally I read it as I'm happy at saints as long as they stay in the PL .........

No he says he wants to stay in the PL as long as possible hopefuly with saints....which isn't the same thing as wanting to spend the rest of his days at saints

I didn't think Guly actually got to play in Serie A? I thought he helped to get his last team promoted to Serie A and then they got rid of him to us before he ever got the chance to play in the top flight.

How settled has our back 5 been this season? by my reckoning we've had 10 (11 if you count Corks cameo at RB, 12 if you count cup games were Dickson played) different players play in the back five at one time or another this season Fox didn't even get a start until 8 games into the season.

Even more so if Nigel is going to carry on using the diamond as his favoured formation next season.

Hardly we're talking about one player on this thread....Nigels already said that we need to go for players better than we have. Fox while not bad going forward is a defensive liability at times and he is only going to face better players next season.

I was starting to think I was the only one who was seeing that...reading about how many people think Danny Fox is amazing.
