**** me how come all those players are worth that when we only payed a million for the leagues top scorer? I have no idea how much money saints do or don't have but I'd much rather we bought good players with something to prove at sensible prices from the lower leagues than be asked to pay over the top prices for higher league level "stars". If we get back to the PL no doubt we will be expected to cough up 10 million for really average PL players and journeymen.

Well I now remember why being in the PL was so wretched. I much prefer being the team at the top of the table, winning most of the time, slipping up to a team in the relegation zone rather than being the team in the relegation zone beating a top team but losing most weeks.,...

The thing is though we still took a decent though amount of the points on the road after Nigel took over. So do you mean we just played poor football but still still won around 50% of our games and only lost around 25% becuase that's fair enough I'm not to bothered if we play sh it away from home and still bring back a win/draw 75% of the time. Other wise you must be suggesting our away form (ie win/draw/loss ratio) is poor under Nigel which as someone pointed out wasn't the case last season as we had the best away form in league one last season.

Have we? (not counting MK dons away as he'd only been in charge 24hrs) I make it 10 wins, 4 draws and 5 loses away from home last season in the league a possible 35 out of 57 points not brilliant but hardly poor either. This season we've lost four already but this league is better than the last one

We haven't even lost two games on the trot yet hardly choking. We had some dodgy away results last season and the season before it happens. We've got 12 pts on the road out of 30 which isn't great by any stretch however with our form those 12pts is enough to give us just over 2pts per game. No doubt we will lose at home but I also doubt it will be that often so keep up the home form and try to get a few more wins (or even draws on the road) and we should be there or there about.

No I think instead of trying to find a Lambert clone (and lets face no one who is coming as back up to Lambert will be better than him). We should have a plan b,c, and d and play to the strengths of the good players we have. Lambert is not an easy player to replace so why try? why not have other ways of playing instead?

Having just watched the highlights how the hell did Morgan miss that chance? I'd of put money on Barney to put that shot away. Defending for the donny goal was shocking how route 1 was that? punt up field, cross and sharp had all the time in the world to turn and shoot.

Is SMS burning? who's he fiddling with? Is this another rumour about Fontes misses?

It's interesting I don't do away games (1 in the last three seasons) but do all the home games so it's quite hard to workout how a team that have in general been surperb (with the odd poor half here and there) at home blowing teams away at times. Can suddenly turn into a pile of shyte (at times not all our away games have been bad) away from home. I suppose If NA can figure it out will be ok. I get the need for people to vent about the performance and NA getting it wrong (we all do that). I'm just not sure why some seem to think this is the beginning of the end for our season..... Still thanks to the telly we will all get to see why we are shyte away from home on the 18th.

Don't worry I'll cancel that out by the fact I only go to home games and have seen pretty much nothing but class football for months..........

Two points Firstly who are these people you heard this from? unless your source is RL or NA or someone close to them then it's just another rumour and one that nobody on here will likely be able to add anything to. Secondly some people on here need to grow thicker skin instead of getting all upset when someone dares to write something that isn't deemed 100% positive about the club - If there was a problem between our star striker and super manager I'd want to know about (though I'm going to need a bit more than "I heard from some people")

True. Though if pompey can see their way to getting a couple sent off I won't complain. Actually I'd love to see Rickie bang in a penlty at fratton even sweeter if it's a badly given one like Fonte's against Brighton. The look on the blues fews face would be worth it......

Funny how the devouted seem to get fewer by the week (though I'm sure they'll all crawl out of the wood work for their cup final). Still you can't really argue that nob head with the bell isn't devouted though personally I'm glad we don't have any fans that devouted at saints.......

Radio Meh... when are we going to get saints TV like man U shows a total lack of ambition by the club if you ask me. Who wouldn't want 24hr wall to wall saints telly? We could have all sorts of cool programmes Richard Chaplow's cooking hour, Lee Barnard's self defence show, A holiday hour with the well travelled Jason Puncheon, Saints Legend from 2009 to the present day and NCs investment hour -hot football clubs to buy right now. I reckon it's a goer....

Except we won't becuase we will nedd to concentrate on not getting relegated. Like I said the pinncle of achievment for most football clubs (outside the top 4-5) these days seems to be get to the PL and don't get relegated.... any thing else is just seen as a distraction...

Well I'm betting Palace care about it right now. Of course we have no way of knowing how it would have turnned out for us but Palace are one step away from a cup final (with a decent draw) after knocking at Man U are people really saying they wouldn't want that for saints? I hate the way these days that getting to the PL and avoiding relegation is now considered the pinncle of achievement by most clubs and supporters. Winning trophies and leagues (unless it's astep to the PL) just don't seem important anymore....

Probably a good thing we didn't get through then I can imagine the whinging on here about the europa cup distracting us from the more important task of Promotion/finishing fourth from bottom of the PL with calls to play the under 21s in europe........
