Brighton fans have started making offical complaints at matches about homophobic chanting I believe. The reason they're trying to do something about it is becuase people have complained IMO. Mind you it wouldn't hurt for us to come up with something more orginal to chant at them anyway.

So the question has to be why are imigrants getting these jobs over fine upstanding British youths? I suspect Sambosa75 is close to the mark ...

Time to accept that it is unlikely we will go up

I think alot of people were feeling a bit down early last season. Having finished strongly the season before (and won a cup final) expectations were sky high among alot of saints fans and the start of the season wasn't confirming to those expectations at all. This season I reckon most of us had much more grounded expectations which have been blown out of the water by the amazing start we've made. With hindsight it is easy to laugh at the OP but alot of people felt the same. -
Apparently opened talks over permanant Hooiveld deal

What will be will be. I think we all know NC won't be pushed around and will do what he thinks is best for the club. If it doesn't work out I'll assume it wasn't right for saints. -
Amazing considering we don't care about them......can't help thinking a lot of people are hoping to see us smash Brighton after last season despite not caring....
-
As it looks like a sell out I imagine they will check the database to try and stop away fans in the home end.

I ****ing hope not. One of the reasons we are doing so well is we have a team (rather than a bunch of money grabbers and journeymen pretending to be a team) a wholesale cull of the players after gainning promotion (if it happens) and bringing in a load of new faces would kill that dead. I'd much rather we gave the players that get us to the PL a chance than off load them the minute the promotion party ends..........but that could just be me. -
Finish the degree then do what most gradutes do get a job in McDs or take a PGCE and become a teacher............

Not really NC has already stated his ambition many many times they involve getting to the PL and running a self sustaining club. Not being prepared to pay twice what celtic paid for a player last january and hardly used since would hardly be showing a lack of ambition. -

You were hardly the only one. I thought I'd wait to see him play before I commented on him first couple of games I was thinking WTF have we done signing this guy. However he has got better and better and I would love to see him stay now. -

Or a clear signal that NC is working to a plan and won't over spend for anyone..... -
Saints, the club other managers want to be like

according to WiKi (so pinch of salt) On 11 January 2010, Celtic announced that Hooiveld had signed a three and a half year deal with the club,[1] with the fee believed to be around £1,400,000. -

He doesn't strike me as the sort of player who would prefer to rot in the Celtic reserves rather than play regular football with team mates he seems to like alot for a better wage packet....though I could be wrong. -

good O lets just hope Celtic aren't unrealistic about the price otherwise they won't get any where with NC. -
Bit unfair if it was. I have a ST but very very rarely find the time or money to do away trips hardly seems fair I should get priority over some guy who's made the effort to get to some northern sh it hole on a tuesday night. I would have thought away trips if popular should go to those who have done the most away trips in a season (I assume there is some sort of record) and leave ST holders to be first choice on plumb home cup ties and major cup finals.

Works both ways though there is no real evidence that he'd be fantastic for us either, you could point to not getting a consistent run of games as proof that something is not right.
-
Yep but they all play in the under 11s hampshire cup not sure why.
-
Well the cup provide much more fun than the Tyro league. Hedge end took Thatcham apart with some great football (well great for 11 year olds) to run out 5-1 winners and go through to round 4 of the hants cup. Nipper almost scored his one goal for the season to (he plays RB) with a long range effort that hit the bar.
-
Maybe so but only Man city play better football than us and hudders......I think not (and I say that wearing my offical saints rose tinted specs)
-
lol
-
Talking in his pre match build up with hudders the fascist said If we don't lose against one of the best sides in League One it would be amazing. "It would keep our County Ground a fortress. It means we would have a good performance and a good result against, in my opinion, the best side who play the best football - along with Southampton. "I would only put Manchester City down as playing better than them at the moment. "So, why not go and get something special for our fans and for ourselves?" Quite funny, nice to hear though I'm not sure Hudders and saints are quite that good...
-
He's only trainning with them though isn't he? no ones actually signed him?

We've been the biggest club for donkey's years I don't remember much hate when we were in the PL.
