  1. Not a nice thing to happen and I hope those attacked recover with no ill effects. However I don't think people should be lumping all Brizzle city fans in with these c unts lets face it there probably isn't a league club in the country who doesn't have an element of fans (using the word very loosely) like this. Out of interest was there ever any sort of trouble with the brizzle rovers fans the two season we were together in league 1?
  2. Well done! Regular trips to SMS worked on my kids my son is a proud saints fan despite the plastic man U and Chelsea fans at his school.
  3. Never get to go on boxing day always at my in-laws doing christmas day -part deux while trying to get some sort of update on the football via a quick look on the net or telly.
  4. Yep normally I would but today I'll think I'll give the FL show a miss.
  5. Well as this seems to be the only post match thread, I'll post here. From the radio we sounded toothless up front, passing sounded poor and to many players seemed to be having an off day. Brizzle sounded commited, organized and like they wanted it more than us today. Sounds like Nigel got out thought today (though Chaplow getting injuried seemed to mess up our plan A). Seems those there today are saying the same things. Still it's only the third loss this season so can't be to downbeat about losing as long as we get back to winning ways against Hull. Oh and if were going to nick any brizzle players lets have Adamoah rather than Manyard.
  6. Why does it have to be one way or the other? If teams give us the time and space to play out from the back then we should. Some teams, like todays, don't in which case we go long and win the ball higher up the field. Generally we are good passers of the ball but I'd rather see us knocking it about like barca in the oppositions half of the field than ****ing around with it in front of our own goal where f uck ups prove costly.
  7. Nope my kids are red and white (my wife has no intereset in football what so ever). My six year old daughter won't even shout "come on you blues" when watching her big brother play on a sunday morning becuase Pompey wear blue and people might think she likes pompey.........
  8. No I agree. We had the same last season people wanting to sign back up players for the back up players............
  9. I assume you mean Harley ..... took me a sec I was thinking WTF have we sent Hammond out on loan for?
  10. From his twitter "@JackSaville: Just extended my loan at #Barnetfc there till early jan.. Good to be playing games & enjoying my football again! #letsgo".
  11. Most likely though those that go to university earn more money in later life (and pay more tax) than those who go into work at 16 and pay tax earlier but are paid less in later life. As trousers points out it's a rough guide there will always be exceptions to the rule I'm sure.
  12. So it is bench warming then until Lambert needs a rest or is injuried? People said the same things last season and (no doubt the season before) we already have players who can't even get on the matchday bench now. How many players do we need kicking up their heels waiting for a chance? It can't be good for team spirit to have to many players not involved in first team action.
  13. So who do you want as back up? I hear spurs are looking to off load Defoe........... good enough for you? or Owen, maybe BT how good does a 5th choice striker have to be?
  14. he went for a months loan..
  15. Barney looked pretty good to me in his camo on saturday and he might not go to jail either. Forte is backup on loan for a month is he our best striker? no but we would have to be pretty unluck to need him. How many amazing strikers want to come here to be 4th or 5th choice?
  16. He's backup he isn't going to be as good as our first choice strikers we're unlikely to get anyone as good as we already have that's going to come just to sit on the bench (if they're lucky considering the 5 sub rule).
  17. You didn't score very well then..................
  18. Guly and Lambert up front with Barny (possibly Forte) for back up hardly desperate..
  19. The WHU match while a good win was dull dull dull. West Ham didn't come to play football and the game suffered as a result
  20. I like to read the sport what it says about me is "I like to look at birds with nice tits"..........
  21. On average, people with household incomes similar to you have an annual balance of... £-1,900 Your household is in the seventh decile, where one has the least disposable income and ten has the most. Households from the 7th decile and above, on average, pay more in tax than they receive in benefits and services. Ohhh my family actualy contribute more than we take (ok not by much) that makes me feel all warm and fuzzy. It means I can also complain about scroungers and not feel bad about it. Wierd thing is we feel poor yet if that article is anything to go by we're quite well off **** knows how people in the 1st or 2nd decile actually afford to live?
  22. I can see the point of view in bringing in another 'big' striker as cover for Lambert I suppose, but the Coventry boards are saying 3 million for LJ. I can't see the point in paying 3 million for someone who won't get in the team ahead of our current strikers IMO that would be nuts and lets face it LJ ain't really anywhere near Lambert. Still I actually feel kind of sorry for coventry fans so If we could loan them some of our fringe players (for fitness, experince) and help them out I wouldn't be to upset.
  23. Leeds at home, probably becuase I wasn't expecting it (neither were the Leeds fans I spoke to on the train home). Sadly this team have raised the bar to the point where games like posh and the 1st half against Brighton actually feel a bit dissapointing which is nuts.
  24. I thought we were Scummers? a term that I thought only the skates used but now seems to pop up on a lot of other teams forums as well (when the can be arsed to notice us at all).......
  25. Tut tut I thought we were going to stop with the homophobic jokes......
