Surely Blackpool - becuase we belittled their PL status

According to the interview in saturdays programme he was carrying a knee injury for the first half of the season which he admits effected his ability to train as hard as he need to resulting in his fitness levels dropping. His reduced fitness meant he struggled in games and his confidence dropped (according to rickie himself) apparently he has only just started to get back into shape and get his confidence back, he admitted he had not had a good season by his own standards. So despite being unfit for half a season and having a crisis of confidence he has still managed 18 goals and a shed loads of assits.

Last season we came from behind (in that the oppostion scored first) 8 times in all comps to go onto win, twice more we managed to come from behind to salvage a draw. This team was built by one manager and is now being taken up (80% sure) by another fair play to both those managers for building the sort of team that has a winning mentality.

Surely in a round about way they have, big crowds mean more revenue which means you can afford better players, better players mean winning more games, winning lots of games equal trophies. I'm willing to bet Manure wouldn't have won much in the last twenty years if they had the same average gates as Oldham gets.

Dan is the Man the vitriol he recieves from saints fans never ceases to amaze me......it's very rare to find players at this level who can beat Harding down the wing. I thought he was impressive when Manure came to SMS this season.

I've always wondered why they don't want to in the Welsh league, pretty much odds on to win the title evey year, CL every year they'd be just like a rubbish copy of the old firm in scotland..........................................

Brings back bad visions of our first game this season. Plymouth one fecking attack one goal other than that they never left their own half, lets hope they need points.

To be fair we were doing the same before they tonked us at SMS this season, I still think will win though becuase they've got very little to play for unlike us.

but they haven't one anything yet, well I suppose some of them won the JPT.......

To think they couldn't beat us at three times of asking last season, in fact of the three teams that went up we only lost to leeds once. Not sure how much last years promotion teams strengthened this season but a lot of Norwich's team seem to be the same players from last season which is encouraging IMO.

No but at least they're defenders, I wouldn't imagine having Lloyd James in front of you in defence would inspire confidence.

Personally I hope bompey go up (apart from giving us 6 easy points next season) I really like the idea of having four south coast teams in the same league lots of spicy local(ish) matches plus easy to get to away games.

I thought Southampton's other team were Swayt.... sorry Eastleigh?

Still think his kicking/throwing out could do with some work, doesn't always make the best use of the options avaliable. However I reckon having a ex keeper for a manager has helped KD out this season in that regard. I'm still more than happy to have him between the white posts for us.

No it's not important to you. I would like saints to win things. When will it be important for us to win something? in the PL?

Lambert is far better than some give him credit for he does a lot more than just score goals (and he scores plenty of those), having said that if we could only have Adam or Rickie in the team I'd choose Adam everytime.

^^^ this I wanted to be champions. I wonder at what point some fans will think that winning something is important. Every season we get the "lets get knocked out of all the cups quickly the league is all important" comments, now winning a league title isn't important either.

Adam wasn't at his best today (1st half in particular), having said that he seemed to swarmed by blue and white shirts at times.

Great result against a team who came to defend in the main. Wierdly the only time we looked a bit dodgy was after the sending off when for 5-6 mins we went to pot in the defence department luckily super Kelv was up to it and no harm was done. Lambert easily MOM great penalty, fantastic passsing all game, interesting piece in the match day programme about Rickie and his early season problems. Lallana looked a bit off colour in the 1st half but much better in the second. Have to say Sebourne didn't give me to much confidence when he was on the ball but maybe he was just rusty after a lack of game time. Well done to the Northam who kept the noise levels up Shame the chapel was full of people getting all wound up about us passing the ball about. On a hot day, against ten men and a goal up and there are people screaming at the team to hoof it forward Why?????????????

Great result, thats twice we've out played Brighton this season now, do they really play good football, or are they just a niggly bunch of divers and time wastesr? Have to admit I wasn't to hopefull of getting anything after Lambert hit the post I thought it wasn't going to be our day, but the boys stuck at it for a very sweet win. Hopefully all those dickhead brighton fans will stick to their own message boards now. Well done Nigel, well done boys and well those supporters who went down to Brighton COYRs
