Quite frankly I'm not to bothered either way. The one thing I don't want is a repeat of this season if NC wants to get rid of Nigel for failing to get us promoted fine, but he needs to do it as soon as the season is finished and bring someone else in for a full pre-season. If he decided to keep Nigel then he needs to back him to the hilt in the pre-season and let him have a season to see what he can do.

Wierdly after 37 games we're exactly 2pts better off this season than this time last year (if you take the -10 into account) just goes to show how big a kick in the teeth the -10 was last season IMO.

Great great day. I wondered if I'll see another like it? I loved every moment of it from first to last. Wish we still had Antonio in the squad. When ever I hear someone banging on about wanting saints out of the cup competitions (as they do every season) I just think back to the JPT final and think....why? The league is the bread and butter of any team but the best matches the ones you really remember so often seem to be cup matches.

I wish Forte all the best, the potential was always there but I think it is about time we part company as he has been given his chance and not done it for us. Anyone who witness Forte at Palace last year would know what a great player he COULD be...daft signing by Adkins though because he never did the business under him here..the odd game apart Yet plenty were happy with his signing.................

The pressure on this kid is going to be huge first match at home, I hope he doesn't make any big mistakes becuase the SMS faithful haven't exactly been in a forgiving mood this season they seem to get on players backs at the drop of a hat these days.

Not sure I agree, we are a very quiet team, we do seem to lack abit of leadership when things aren't going our way it's times like that when an experinced vocal player in the middle of the park would be an assest. I like Hammond but he has never strucj me as a captain when he is on the pitch. I agree age isn't the issue Martin is very vocal and commanding when he plays and he is only a youngster. As for a ball player we do have one with the ability to pick out brillant passes he does all the time sadly he is our top scoring CF (though he did start his carerer as a midfielder I believe).

I think some people were hoping for an experinced midfield general a kind of Paul Wotton but with some actual football ability. If thats what they were holding out for you can see why they wouldn't think a 21 year old was not the right signing. TBH until he has a few games under his belt I don't really see how people can be claiming he is a bad signing or a good signing.

The club doesn't really give out details anymore, usually the only way you know how bad a player is/isn't injured is when they turn out on match day.

I've always thought that Chaplows passing is a bit suspect gives it away a lot with sloppy passing IMO. The difference was early in the season if he lost the ball he'd quite often win it back with some tough tackling or terrier like hassling of the opposition. The tackling seems to be happening far less and is often poor giving away quite a few free kicks. Why is chappers making less tackles? yellow cards, carrying a knock, less bothered ? I don't know but he sure doesn't look the player he did when he first got here to me.

I can't say I'm surprised. We have plenty of fans who want us knocked out of every cup in the first round and plenty who were happy to settle for second place before the season even started.

I would have thought it was more likely Dicksons chance If Adams crocked surely it's Dickson LW?

We've lost 9 and 7 of those 9 loses have come to teams in the bottom half of the table which is poor for a team chasing promotion, the idea we should be happy with that doesn't wash with me. Just saying well everbody else is the same isn't any good if you want promotion you need to be better than those around you. Just like Brighton who have only lost 5 times this season and not once at home.

It's not up to me to decide if they're justified. They're someone elses opinions normally written in the heat of the moment. Against a team who hasn't won in eight it could be seen as a poor result I have no problem with that. Whether someone thinks the team is doing well problably depends on what peoples expectations were at the start of the season.

No by not winning winnable games. We've have several time this season lost games to bottom half sides or like last night not putt the boot into teams on wretched form. We've played very poorly at times this season under three different managers, yes it happens to all teams but those that want promotion make sure it doesn't happen to often.
