For a long time now has been picked on his reputation/status rather than his current ability... Not showed during tournaments because his shortcomings have been more noticeable then.. Over the hill in all honesty and no point in getting all emotional over him. He is now probably holding England back....

One or two good points with the exception of Gaston who is clearly not good enough. Also he has had plenty of 'runs' in the team and still proved to be sub standard. He also seems to 'cry off' with a mirriad of 'soft' injuries. Try watching the player rather than the match for a few minutes see why they are falling below required standards and you will quickly see why he is no longer in the squad..... Mind you I hVe to admit before Norwich if Koeman had been a player he might have been 'dropped' his decision making was very suspect and almost Gazzanigaesque! ;-))

Incase you missed the game on Sunday..... Tadic is about 20 times better playing on the left. In fact he is more or less totally useless on the right.... So, as Mane played particularly well on the right that leaves Jay Rod up the middle IF we can accommodate 4 attacking players in the same team ...

I am normally his biggest critic because normally he is dreadful! Today he was world class. Perhaps he does need to play on the left. Let's hope Koeman recognises this and learns from this game.

It hasn't suddenly fallen apart it started half way through last season.... It's looking as Koeman has taken a lot of credit for the coaching that went on prior to him.....

Tired, disinterested, not good enough or what ever he's way off the pace and has been for a very long period....

We are clearly in need of some decent coaching - we are not doing what that the top teams do well - passing and closing down. We are standing 5 yards away from the opposing team player in pice saison and watching him do exactly what he likes! If our players are going to be spectators they had better be buying tickets!!!! Summary... Better defensively but it was Watford after all. Generally terrible though ... Is any coaching going on at all one would wonder!!!!

You seem to think that 100m in the bank no decent players is a good position to be in!!!!! We let me tell you that it's about the players we have in that team that wins games... Money on the bank or sub standard replacements mean Jack S- - t... We need to sing players on 7 year deals and bonus based wages... Put Wanyama in the reserves and forget him - let everyone know we are serious about not letting any player go on their terms... This whole thing is now farcical.... We need to draw a line in the sand now - no one leaves and if you say anything about wanting to leave you lose your bonuses which equal half your wages... We are not here to service Individuals selfish ambitions we are here for the Southampton fans who now deserve and expect loyalty.... Clubs like ours have to wrestle control back from greedy disloyal players.... Football is becoming a circus full of sickening greed and self obsessed morons. I am surely not alone in losing interest in this money polluted charade...

Let's get one thing completely straight here, Tadic has been nothing short of terrible for months now so why would he suddenly be amazing put in the middle again? Spends most of the time on his backside! The rest of the time avoiding the ball!

What is more 'bizarre' is you have hardly seen Classie yet let alone in a league game and yet you have him down as a life saver! Dreaming will get us nowhere!

Pathetic management and coaching. Poor choices, coaching is obviously atrocious and as for tactics - we don't have a tactic except hit it long and hope.! What on earth is going on. It's been like it for last 6 months! As Koemans influence has come more and more to the fore and it has become his team and methods we have got worse and worse.

We play at least three up front I am afraid. In fact usually 8 of our players are too far advanced leaving no defence and no Link up through midfield because too many players are too far away so we end up Playing it long or losing possessesion. This has been going on for months now but Koeman continues to do what he always does....

Entirely brought on by our own weakness and not being assertive with a big get lost ! We cave in every time so do you expect!!!! Poor management on our part it's no wonder we continue to get raided. Money is no use what so ever without class players..... Money cannot defend or score goals but our management are great at own goals! Draw a line in the sand or face the consequences !

I would venture to suggest that as we seem to think we are still well short of quality we are playing a very strange open form of football with too many attacking players and no midfield. If we are in such dire need why are we not thinking very hard about team selection and tactics which enable us to be tighter as a team! My concern at the moment is management/coaching decisions which are wide of the mark.... We are not employing a possession strategy with wide open spaces and no cover for the full backs? This is a much higher priority than new players; though yes some are not good enough...

Omg the oldest trick in the book! Be a teachers pet and get picked. I am not in the least surprised to learn this as Tadic is just nowhere near good enough for us and yet continues to get picked!!!! It's like playing with 10 men he has been woeful since Christmas last season...

And lazy ineffective Tadic is top ten ???? However, as we have sub standard individuals we should have even more reason to protect the back four and keep it tight..... Surely we should have learnt that lesson after the Newcastle game....we are far too open....

To get back on topic. Just watching Villa on the box and they are just as bad as last year!! Jose would be mad to even give it a second thought!

Totally disagree with this comment... Just because he isn't a Fancy Dan doesn't mean he wasn't a very important player for us who was the oil in our engine.... It is interesting from time to time to watch certain players and what they do rather than the whole spectacle... You can learn and appreciate players good or indifferent in that way....
