Simply superb player think he only gave the ball away four times in 150 games with us. I'm not sure anyone could match that .... Loved watching him... ;-)

Yes but also we don't play anyone close enough to Pelle. When we get the ball to him he is too isolated. We are playing with two wide men and not enough bodies centrally. This is part of the reason we cannot keep possession.... It is also the reason Pelle cannot find a teamate quickly when he has the ball at his feet. It is almost the polar opposite of Poch who flooded the pitch centrally and retained possession. A compromise would help perhaps....

God there is some very dodgy goalkeeping in that video....

Very good summary...... Our full backs are also too far advanced and very wide...this left our two centre backs as a back two which Palace continually exploited.... We need to be more flexible and narrower at times. Pelle needs support. Time and again against Palace he was given the ball but didn't have an outlet and was caught in possession continuously.... Certainly that system is unbalanced. Tadic isn't helping he is not able to go past anyone and most certainly isn't a winger.... The irritating thing with him is also that he also spends all the game telling his team mates what to do when he's lately been our worse player himself ..... He should concentrate on his own game and raise it quite a lot !!! We lack rhythm at the moment and this is due to the players being too spread out in midfield, these symptoms are born out by our relative low possession percentages at times lately.... The possession we do have is mostly passing between our centre backs sideways... So there are several fundamentals from Saturday: Pelle too isolated, two midfielders too wide and not involved enough and full backs too far forward and also very wide.

6 for me. As someone said, doesnt have much to do and when called upon is quite often suspect.

Stick to the point, we were all over the place tactically in the first half and that should have been recognised and changed after 15 mins.... And if you think that is incorrect then that is your prerogative ... Not sure the facts are stacked in your favour however!

Can anyone tell me what the hell was the formation first half... Two at the back???? Full backs far too advanced leaving the Palace pacey powerful players to have acres of space to play in. Was Koeman actually watching that and doing nothing about it!!! As for Tadic why is he in the team - does nothing .. We are carrying him.... Yes I know he has scored a couple of goals but he is mostly aweful and was again today....

I think you might be giving him more credit than he is due for our defensive record. Opposing teams don't get many shots on target against us in general. If you were to take his goals conceded in relation to shots on target I would imagine Forster is quite well down that particular league.... Maybe someone has that statistic at their finger tips?

All very positive and an amazing week. Only one criticism - will someone tell Forster to be more attentive and concentrate on the game. He is glued to the six yard area and every single time a ball is played long over the top top he has too much ground to make up to get to it!!! It's blatent - even Jamie Garragher or what ever his name is has noticed it now but still our coaches do nothing about it???????? It's costing us goals now so come on let's get this major Forster issue sorted....

Here's one opinion on Tadic.... Too slow, poor crossing and lacks energy and support to his team mates.... Certainly not deserving a first team spot right now... Really don't understand how he's getting picked ...

Gerard is not as good as what we have in any midfield area. Only hits long hopeful balls these days as he can't keep up with play in passing phases any more. No way would want him here. Liverpool play far better without him... Can't believe Koeman is serious about this... Would be a backward step.

Couldn't disagree more.... He has been rank poor for weeks.... His crossing is terrible and he hides during games. Passes are routinely going astray - contributes very little - our poorest player against Chelsea.... Amongst a host of players who played well... Needs to up his game big style or go back on the bench...
