This time last year Turkish was going on and on about how we were deluded to expect Jack Cork to prefer lil'ol' Southampton to giants of the English game like Burnley. When we played at Leeds I had the pleasure of sitting amongst the home fans. At times it was so difficult to keep quiet but that is another story. When Billy Paynter came on as sub, the home fans sitting near me (think of Pompey fans with just a little bit more intelligence) went mental. To paraphrase what they were saying He is not a very good footballer and they would be pleased if he did not play ever again for them!! Seems perfect for Pompey then!!

You have a bit of a problem with the idea of 50k stadiums, CL football don't you?? You keep banging on about it - that's the second time today that you have brought it up in completely unrelated threads. For your sake it had better not happen, I doubt if you would be able to cope.

Perhaps sunny jim, you can point me in the direction of the post which says that we are a super club going to be European champiions in a 50,000 seater stadium. Oh and at the same time point me in the direction of any posts when you and delldays have said anything positive about the team you support.

Morecambe is on the Lancashire coast. Eric Bartholomew came from there and used the town's name in his stage name. On the sea front at Morecombe there is a statue of Eric doing his famous one hand behind his ear dance. We have never played Morecombe in the league and will be scrapping the barrel to explain why they would not like us. Can you come up with better reasons for Oxford and AFC Wimbledon?
