  1. I couldn't agree more. There is much here. Perhaps everyone ought to choose their favourite bit and we could have a poll to see which is the funniest. I thought the best bit was the comparison with Nottingham Forest. Classic diversionary tactics. Bring in a complete red herring to make it look as if the cheats are quite normal. I really wonder if the new owner of Forest will have to stump up £70 million for the old owner. Forest just need to have a potential points deduction, an insolvency commission investigation on their last administration, an HMRC sponsored forensic investigation into their affairs, a pending trial for their previous owner and previous manager and a court case result to be announced and then they will be in the same positiion as the cheats.
  2. Don't remind me !!! You have highlighted what will be one of the key factors on the day. That game in 2005 was when we had Redkrap in charge with his thumbs up gesture to Mandaric. I trust that Nige will do a better job in preparing his team.
  3. I thought we would ... but decided not to tell anyone !! :-) :-)
  4. Corp disappeared for 2 weeks and then has come back with his usual load of tosh. I cannot be particularly bothered to correct the fool or even to seriously read his gibberish but whilst scanning through his latest outburst of venom and bile I did notice the classic: The club was *****il Antonov's recent arrest) being run in a very similar fashion to yours. Bankrolled by a wealthy individual. There is so much mileage in this comment. Its almost worth a psychological case study in its own right!! How someone can have contributed to this thread over the last 2 and a half years and still think that Pompey and Saints are run in a very similar fashion just beats me. It is priceless!! And then the cretin says What a thicko. If SISU had bought us when they bid in 2007 we would not have gone into administration in 2009 would we ??? Poor old Coventry look like going t i t s up now but SISU saved them from going into administration at the time of their original purchase. The same would have applied to us. Are all people from Portsmouth as thick as our mate Corp Ho??
  5. Spot on. I couldn't agree more. I think you have put into words what I was thinking. I would just like to see a bit more experimentation. Dickson hasn't been given a chance at this level. I remember he came on last season in Adkins second game in charge against Colchester and made us look a lot brighter. CHDAJYU ?? How about the youngsters?? War Prowse apparently played well at Palarse. Could it be worth throwing him into the mix for a game or two??
  6. Cheers mate. It is appreciated.
  7. You don't know what you are talking about .Yesterday was the first match that I have missed in over 2 months - and that is with my wife in hospital with a life threatening illness. Your reactions to negative events are way over the top. You went over the top last season at Walsall (and yes if it suits your uber fan ego, I was at that game). You went over the top last night. Hopefully you can see things better this morning.
  8. OP in typical over the top reaction !! Remember Turkish how you made a complete t i t of yourself last season after we lost at Walsall. It seems that you have not learnt
  9. But fair dos to the guy - he does at least turn up on this board. There has been no sign of Corp Ho for the last 2 weeks. I wonder why?? What is the point in having a pet Skate if he doesn't turn up???
  10. Order history has now been updated. Huge sigh of relief!! Bus no 3 from Winchester. I bet we get there first!!!
  11. I intend to use more sheets of loo roll than I really need. That'll hurt them!
  12. He sat next to me at MKD last year.
  13. I am as well. I was in the first application and handed my form in on the day of the Brighton game. I will not be happy if my application went into the wrong shoe box.
  14. and still no email. I handed my application in before the Brighton game so they cannot blame the post!!
  15. Good job you post on here Turkish to put us all right then isn't it. Tell me. How are your other predictions going? Did we get promoted last season because you said we wouldn't? How far ahead of us in the league are Leicester because you said that we wouldn't be able to live with them this season. How many goals has Craig Mackail Smith scored for Leicester this season as you were so sure that is where he was going? Cue another childish tamptrum from Turkish as he is unable to respond constuctively. He knows everything and all in the garden is rosy if everyone believes him.
  16. I trust that you are joking. Top of the league. 8 points clear of the play off teams. Post war English record equalised for successive home wins. All this on top of a promotion last season when he took over a rabble in mid September (anyone who was at MK Dons will testify to thee rabble tag). Yet Adkins doesn't know much about football !! Perhaps a genius like you Professor ought to go round and give him the benefit of your vast knowledge.
  17. I got to the ground well before kick off. This is unusual for me so for the first time for a long time I saw the pre match warm up. Our lads came out before City and proceeded to do a 10 minute pilates style warm up. They all had their individual mats and went through a very thorough routine. Is this customary? I have never seen a warm up like this before. Walsall away was the last warm up that I saw and there were no pilates mats then. I do believe in the benefits of this sort of exercise and must admit that I was impressed.
  18. We were poor. In the end we were well beaten. We need a better display on tuesday. BUT Both of the Brizzle goals had massive deflections. I have just watched the City love in on the FL show and didn't realise how for the first goal Kelvin went one way and the ball was deflected the other. The second looped off Fonte and really could have gone anywhere. Just our luck on the day that it went into our goal. Lets hope that this is the season's bad luck out of the way in one fell swoop. Without these deflections a 0-0 draw would not have been too bad considering how so few things came off for us today.
  19. A long, slow lingering death is so much more fun to watch. If they went pop, they would have a chance to regroup , invent a few more myths and get behind the new AFC Pompey. A long, gradual, decline which sucks the life blood out of them is so much more enjoyable to watch
  20. If he was a true Skate his cousin would also be his wife.
  21. Things must be really bad at Pompey now. Corp Ho hasn't been on here today to tell us that everything really is OK.
  22. I never knew that the team in 17th position made it to the play-offs!!
  23. Well worth watching. Just put in your Saintsplayer username and password. They even manage to find a couple of Brighton attacks to show - well shots that blazed over the top or wide.. Don't miss the interview with their Paynter after the game. It is quite funny. The second half was "freakish." Ah well , another game where we got lucky. So many opponents have an off day against us!! http://www.seagulls.co.uk/articles/20111119/video-poyets-saints-reaction_2264458_2521576/0,,10433~2521576~1,00.html
  24. This is one of the strange things about this season. Every team we play against has one of those bad days at the office. This week it is Brighton who played badly so we won. In the last game against Cov, their manager moaned about 3 soft goals they gave away. The previous match saw Fergie jr complaining about the goals his team conceded. The match before against Middlesborough was decided by the poor Middlesboro defending. The Football League shhow even mentioned it. Every match that we win seems to be down to our opposition's deficiencies trather than our merits. I just guess that when our luck runs out we will hit the ground with a heck of a bump. :-)
  25. You know he was you know quite fair in his you know assessment of the match you know
