Simon Gillet has played Championship football for the last 2 seasons- more than he would have done if he had stayed with us so I hardly think that he has drifted off into obscurity.

Could this be an opportunity to blood some of our up & coming youngsters? I do not mean that we should do what Red c r a p did a few years ago when he played the youth team in a league cup game but it woud surely help the development of JWP plus say 2 , if they could play at Cov in the cup.

Look Corp if you are going to lie, please don't do it so badly that you can be rumbled. Clearly the afternoon at the pub has dulled your senses even further and you cannot separate fact from the fantasy world in which you live. You were quite happily banging out the posts on here until 14 January when AnotherSaintinSouthsea tore you to pieces. Your next post on this thread was on 1 July . "One or two pages later" !! Do me a favour - you scarpered for nearly 6 months as you were clearly so ashamed of the rubbish that had been dragged up from your past. So you haven't *** on my Xmas Pudding. You have just given something else for us all to laugh at. Are you a professional comedian or does it come naturally to you?
-
I cant seem to open this link but presumably it is AnotherSaintin Southsea's epic destruction of Corp and his claims. The one after which we didn't hear from the troll for several months. Or have you found a few more gems?

No. You are confused again. Wayne comes from Southampton not Portsmouth. Where do you hail from you wind up merchant??

Nice to see that at least one of the pet skates has broken off from celebrating their heroic point against us to appear again on this thread!!

... for homophobic chanting?? Singing "Does your boyfriend know you're here" gets Saints fans arrested and banned. Will the same thing happen to the few?? Mind you, I thought our response of "does your sister know you're here" was brilliant.

If I were you Mack I would get onto the council and ask to be re housed.

Exactly the same thought went through my mind. In the last 2 seasons I had the joy of visiting grounds like Brentford, Leyton Orient, Walsall , Northampton , Swindon and Tranmere. Some of these grounds were ramshackle. Some had poor facilities. But all were better than Fratton Park. Leaving the ground yesterday brought back memories of football grounds from the 70's. Steep terraces with uneven steps flanked by walls of rust generally disappeared yonks ago. The gents urinals clearly haven't been updated since God knows when. Peeing onto brick was really like going for a p i s s in some third world country. Going there was like being in a timewarp. The Amarillo song went back to 2005 - the ground was like something from the 70's. Just knock the whole place down. Liquidate the club and start again. Anything must be an improvement on what they currently have.

I think Big Sam is losing the plot a little. They aren't walking this division in the way that they thought they would. Big Sam seems to be doing the media circuit a lot as well. Barely a week goes by when he isn't interviewed on Talksport. Yesterday he was interviewed on Five Live where he claimed that they were the best team in the league and that is why they were top of the league !! I suppose that if you keep saying this sort of thing your fans will believe you. I still think that they will go up automatically .... but it would be quite amusing if they did fail to go up. it seems to be S h i t or bust for them and it will not be at all pretty if it is bust.

Good article. Thanks.

Bump Just a reminder not to give the Skate b**tards any money on sunday. Don't buy a thing there from Doris in the tea shed.

Post 45780 on 12/12/11 and post 45727 on 9/12/11 amongst other places Corp. I always knew you were one eyed but didn't realise you were blind as well. How come Sol was only due his win bonus in July 2009 when you won the cup in May 2008?? I know that you like to pay wages late at Pompey but that is ridiculous!!

I know where you are coming from but I disagree. They have suffered. They are suffering and they have yet more pain to come..... When we went under we had 12 months of so of concern. The loaning out of the high earners under Lowe and the playing of kids led to some awful games of football. I think that it was 4 months into the season until I saw a Saints goal from open play at St Marys having been on holiday on the one occasion when we played well. The administration was an awful time to live through and the worry of whether we would have a football club for those couple of weeks after the Pinnacle disaster was terrible. However we came through it and are on the way upwards. The Skates on the other hand have had this trauma for much longer. They were flying so high after winning the cup that the fiascos of the last 2 and a half years must have really hurt. Being rooted at the bottom of the Premiership 2 seasons ago. The High court dramas last season. The succession of different owners. The sheer awfulness of the football served up at their rust heap of a stadium. The knowledge that they have become the butt of comedians 's jokes on radio and TV and the knowledge that they have become the plaything of different parts of the Russian mafia must all really hurt. And what do they have to look forward to? Is there a knight in shing armour coming to rescue them - not bloomin' likely. The rust heap will keep on rusting. The good players that they have left will dwindle away. They have picked up a bit recently but relegation to the third tier is certainly very possible this season. A quick death and then a phoenix from the ashes would be bearable. But a slow death must be so painful when less than 4 years after winning the Cup, the only thing that you have to look forward to is a relegation battle into the third tier whilst your local rivals are at the top of the league. No wonder the Southsea Common 200,000 has dwindled to TCWTB, Corp Ho Ho Ho and 11,000 other deluded ill breds.

What a shame. Corp has made his 3 posts today. I was hoping that he would answer the question that I keep on asking: If Pompey were financially sound at the time of winning the FA Cup in 2008 as he keeps alleging, why were they unable to pay sol Campbell his win bonus?? Funny how he never answers that one isn't it?

The "I'm on the bus for the skate game" roll call
Tamesaint replied to Spudders's topic in The Saints
Its going to be like a mid winter version of: http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0057541/ -
You keep on saying the same old carp but you still do not answer the question: If as you "keep saying" , you were financially solvent when you won the FA Cup , why were you unable to pay Sol his win bonus ?? Why did he have to sue you to get what was legally his?? Is it because the answer would contradict the carp that keeps pouring out of you ??

Do you really believe we will be promoted this season,Yes or No ?
Tamesaint replied to bjk's topic in The Saints
WE will be top at Christmas unless we lose on sunday, West Ham win at home to Barnsley (despite tonight's result Barnsley are not a bad team and could do us a favour) AND there is a 6 goal swing in goal difference. -
I know what you mean. We got there well before kick off and had had chants of Scummers thrown at us as soon as we had got in. The sheer hatred from them was amazing. The game was rubbish and they should have scored. In the end it was the team's will power and belief in itself that led to the last minute goal. The celebrations were fantastic. We were kept behind for ages after the match. In those days MotD player interviews were often conducted on the edge of the pitch. Steve Moran came out to be interviewed and was greeted with a roar that made the response to Camara's goal against Norwich a few years ago seem like a whisper!!!
-
So why were you unable to pay Sol his bonus for winning the cup and in the end he had to be paid as a football creditor? You really are a deluded fool.

He wants to better himself!!

I disagree. I think we have a much better history than Pompey. I am in my early 50's and have supported Saints for as long as I can remember. (say since 1965). In that time we have had 30+ years of top flight football. We have won the FA Cup. We have lost in a League Cup Final. We have lost in an FA Cup final. We have finished runners up in the top division. We have had many trips to Europe. We have had many of the greats of English football play for us. We have even produced one or two of the greats of English football. In all that time there have only been 5 or 6 years when Pompey have been in a higher league position than us. They have stumbled from financial crisis to crisis. The last few years have seen them have a bit of fun but by and large their history has been one of mediocrity and failure. Yet because they won a few trophies when my dad was a lad , we are supposed to acknowledge that they have a better history than us ??? Do me a favour!! By that reckoning Wanderers, Royal Engineers and Old Etonians are the greats of the english game because they won the FA Cup so often in the 19th century!! I just thank my lucky stars that I was born a Saint not a skate. My history of supporting my club is so much better than it would have been if I had been of the blue persuasion.
