  1. Five live yesterday were amazing. The sports show started at midday and the first half hour centred round whether Spurs would end the day joint top of the Premiership. (By the way is anyone else irritated by this trend to talk about "joint top." West Ham according to many parts of the media are joint top of the Championship - its almost as if goal difference hadn't been invented). There was an interview with Kevin Bond and it seemed as if 'arry's application for sainthood was complete and just needed to be put into the post. After the 12.30 news there was then a feature on "who are the top team in London". Guess who got another mention .... although at this stage I couldn't stand much more of the "isn't 'arry wonderful" lovefest and switched over. I did laugh when Spurs only drew at home with Wolves and 'arry's sheer wonderfulness was proved to be not quite so wonderful.
  2. I know that he missed some good chances for Middlesborough today and they lost at home but dont you think it is unlikely that Middlesborough would sell him to us just 2 days after they signed him?
  3. I presume that your source is a highly placed person at pompey who you see socially every couple of weeks and that your new owners are so minted that they make Abramovitch look poor. We expect our pet Skates to come up with this isort of rubbish. Please do not disappoint us.
  4. and I go 2-1 to Saints.
  5. Its always the "passion of the fans" which wins over the dodgy owners. LOL
  6. That's strange - a fantasist wants us to check the facts. The facts are: Corporate Ho was posting his normal drivel on here last winter. On 7 January he made 3 posts. On 14 January he made 3 posts - the last one being at 1.10pm. On 14 January at 1.48 pm Anothersaintinsouthsea destroyed Corporate Ho with his famous post which pointed out quite a few inconsistencies in Corp's postings. ( post 36357 on page 728 if you want to re read it.). It was hilarious and completely destroyed any credibility that Corp had. We then heard nothing from Corporate Ho for many months. If he had resumed his normal rate of posting there would have been a reply from him within a week. But there was nothing. He was too ashamed to post on here . Corp was often spotted during this time by many people reading the board. Not once however did he post - doubtless aware that he was even more of a laughing stock than normal. He never once attempted to defend himself - which isn't surprising after the savaging that he took. Corp Ho next posted on 1 July - nearly 6 months after Anothersaintinsouthsea's post. His response was so cringeworthy it wasn't really worth the wait. The man is a complete fantasist. He says that "the list was originally posted when I wasn't on here" .... but he had been posting 38 minutes before the post appeared !! It was the post that made him disappear for 6 months!! Just remember Corp that you are dealing with Southampton fans on here - not the normal half wits you associate with in Portsmouth. You are going to have to try a whole lot harder to better us.
  7. He disappeared for 6 months last year after Anothersaintinsouthsea ripped him apart - although in the fantasy world in which he lives A - He replied within a week or so (posted by him last month) B - He never left the site and just posted on here using another login (posted by him last summer) C - He posted using his wife's computer. (posted last summer) I don't know what is the most deluded of these comments - probably the one where he says he has a wife / sister.

    Turkish

His constant negativity and consistent p888 taking of anything positive about Saints back in the summer did get on my nerves - and of other posters. At one stage I even thought he was a skate on a wind up. The Pompey badge has Turkish connations and I considered his choice of forum name to be indicative of a Skate. Clearly I was wrong.
  9. Today's ref was excellent. A Mr Webster from ????? After the appalling Darren Deadman and Andy d'Urso my faith in British referees has been restored. He let the game flow, exerted controrl over the game with an early (deserved) booking of Cramie and often gestured to explain his decisions. He clearly has a problem with his ego - he didn't seem to have one and realised that the crowd had come to watch a game of football and not him!! I wish we could have him every week.
  10. Too right. That is what they should do. But it requires patience from their fans if this approach does lead to a fall down the football League. It requires skill to get the right people in place to build a development structure. It requires time for everything to fall into place. Most teams already do this sort of thing so it even may require a great deal of luck for the best talent to want to come to Pompey. Why bother with this when you can get a money launderer from the mafia in charge and you are as deluded as Corpse and the others of the Blue Few?
  11. Reports did say that the amount of lager that Ricky was drinking was a source of amusement to some of the locals in the pub.
  12. I had exactly the same thoughts as the OP after reading about Rickie's "incident" on Monday. 5 hours drinking after a game cannot be right for a professional athlete. I thoroughly enjoy a good drink but I am not a professional sportsman dependant on a fit body for my living. That C u n t Redkrap was right the other day when he refused his team their Christmas party saying that they had plenty of time to party in their summer break and that they needed to concentrate on their football. Last night was not the first time this season that a good performance has been swiftly followed by a disappointing one. We were poor at Reading after we had that great result against West Ham. Our performance against Middlesborough was amazing and wewere on a high after the 25 pass goal in the last few minutes but we followed that up by being lack lustre against Peterborough.
  13. I wonder if PFC Gaz is really Corp Ho under a new name?
  14. The extra day's rest that we will gain from playing on Friday will be a source of complaint for Gus.
  15. Spot on.The confusion on their faces was perfect.
  16. Simon Gillet has played Championship football for the last 2 seasons- more than he would have done if he had stayed with us so I hardly think that he has drifted off into obscurity.
  17. Could this be an opportunity to blood some of our up & coming youngsters? I do not mean that we should do what Red c r a p did a few years ago when he played the youth team in a league cup game but it woud surely help the development of JWP plus say 2 , if they could play at Cov in the cup.
  18. Look Corp if you are going to lie, please don't do it so badly that you can be rumbled. Clearly the afternoon at the pub has dulled your senses even further and you cannot separate fact from the fantasy world in which you live. You were quite happily banging out the posts on here until 14 January when AnotherSaintinSouthsea tore you to pieces. Your next post on this thread was on 1 July . "One or two pages later" !! Do me a favour - you scarpered for nearly 6 months as you were clearly so ashamed of the rubbish that had been dragged up from your past. So you haven't *** on my Xmas Pudding. You have just given something else for us all to laugh at. Are you a professional comedian or does it come naturally to you?
  19. I cant seem to open this link but presumably it is AnotherSaintin Southsea's epic destruction of Corp and his claims. The one after which we didn't hear from the troll for several months. Or have you found a few more gems?
  20. No. You are confused again. Wayne comes from Southampton not Portsmouth. Where do you hail from you wind up merchant??
  21. Nice to see that at least one of the pet skates has broken off from celebrating their heroic point against us to appear again on this thread!!
  22. ... for homophobic chanting?? Singing "Does your boyfriend know you're here" gets Saints fans arrested and banned. Will the same thing happen to the few?? Mind you, I thought our response of "does your sister know you're here" was brilliant.
  23. If I were you Mack I would get onto the council and ask to be re housed.
  24. Exactly the same thought went through my mind. In the last 2 seasons I had the joy of visiting grounds like Brentford, Leyton Orient, Walsall , Northampton , Swindon and Tranmere. Some of these grounds were ramshackle. Some had poor facilities. But all were better than Fratton Park. Leaving the ground yesterday brought back memories of football grounds from the 70's. Steep terraces with uneven steps flanked by walls of rust generally disappeared yonks ago. The gents urinals clearly haven't been updated since God knows when. Peeing onto brick was really like going for a p i s s in some third world country. Going there was like being in a timewarp. The Amarillo song went back to 2005 - the ground was like something from the 70's. Just knock the whole place down. Liquidate the club and start again. Anything must be an improvement on what they currently have.
