  1. The bass player was Richard Osman's older brother. Not many people know that.
  2. Start the ball rolling. Write a letter to your MP if he is a Tory expressing your disgust. It will have to be the MPs who get rid of him. If they think he's a liabilty they wont stand by him.
  3. I think that this thread has the distinction of being the only thread in the Lounge without a contribution from WSS. 😁😁😁
  4. Good question but I think that we need to consider the capabilities of the angels before deciding this. Are there any restrictions on their movements? Do their wings get in the way?
  5. As Saints I am amazed that we have never discussed one of the most important questions of the day - "how many angels can dance on a pinhead?" I have my own views but before revealing them I would like to guess what other posters are going to say: Weston Super Saint will most definitely have an opinion. He will apply "critical reasoning" and post many, many times on the thread but not actually come up with a number. Delldays will come up with the same opinion as Brett from Camden, Batman and AlexLaw 76. He will highlight the discrepancy between the figures quoted by the Catholic Church, the Cof E and the Methodists but also not come up with an opinion. Lord Duckhunter will just exclude chick angels. Turkish won't include any Muslim angels. MLG would want to define what is meant by an angel. ... and Lighthouse would monitor this thread in the manner that it is meant - with a smile on his face.
  6. You are perfectly correct in these errors. They drove me mad and revealed a total lack of knowledge about us. BUT I would say that their commentary on the match was fair and complementary to us. Whenever we play a big team like Liverpool on Sky the commentators are so busy having a wankfest over them that we get ignored. Anything that we do well is because the big team play badly. I was expecting a similar Swansea / Welsh wankfest and was pleasantly surprised that it didn't happen.
  7. The commentary said it was Lyon and I am sure that nobody would wear a Pompey shirt by mistake. 🙂
  8. Nathan Lyon the Aussie spin bowler was just shown on TV sitting in the crowd wearing a Pompey shirt. I always hated the bald cunt.
  9. I went to the match behind enemy lines. We were very good value for the win, playing 2 different teams including youngsters like Finnegan. I don't know how strong Swansea's team was but unless they have improved I would expect another comfortsble win.
  10. I wonder who the hotelier was.
  11. Queenie and the constitutional role of the monarch are areas to debate. To me (and I suppose that at heart jI am a bit of a monarchist) it is the minor royals who need to be relegated to the ranks of commoners. Prince pervert, his younger brother, sister and all their offspring need to lose all their state funding and privileges. Harry can be chucked as well. Who gives a toss where he lives and with whom? To be fair, Anne's kids don't have titles . Prince P 's however are still called Princess and get state weddings at Windsor Castle. Shouldn't they be chucked?
  12. Corrected for you.
  13. Overall I agree with you. Most owners surely cannot make any money. Simon Jordan wrote an entertaining, informative book on how he lost a fortune at Crystal Palace. Anyone who read that would be put off investing in football. Occasionally however , as the Leibhers demonstrate, there are bargains available. At the moment , Derby County scream out to me as a bargain - or at least they will be in the summer once their points deduction has their relegation confirmed. I would also think that Ipswich could be a profitable acquisition for the patient investor.
  14. The Leibher family have certainly made a lot of money out of football clubs. For a total outlay of c £30 million (initial purchase and subsequent investment) they had a return of £200 million plus and still kept 20% of their investment. I stand to be corrected but I think that they had previously made money on the purchase and subsequent sale of a club in Austria.
  15. Definitely. You want a number and as long as it is not toooo unrealistic a good accountant can provide it.

    Coronavirus

    12. Apparently there is "Covid gammon." Most of the Brexit gammon have become critics of Covid restrictions but apparently not all of them.
  17. Thanks for posting this. Excellent summary.
  18. That probably means anything but £250m
  19. I think the magic word is "billionaire." I know that he may not want to spend his money on us but hopefully this meana that at this price it is not a leveraged buyout.
  20. It is her sex appeal that has propelled her career. Most Conservative MPs want to fuck her and are envious of Mark Field. I would even wager that Boris has had a try! They will doubtless get her on the shortlist for the next leadership contest. If she continues to impersonate Thatcher most of the electorate in any leadership election, the Conservative party membership, will be having wet dreams. Anyone who can proclaim that it is "a disgrace" that we import two thirds of our cheese cannot be taken seriously as a politician. What a sad state of affairs that she is apparently close to leadership of the Conservatives.

    Coronavirus

Don't you know that Delldays/Batman/Alex always does this? He can find the most extreme predictions of Covid deaths / Brexit disadvatages etc and then quote them as part of his "the world is full of hypocrites " agenda. God knows where he gets his predictions. It keeps him happy. Bless.
  22. Sure enough. Shit for Brains. the Pompey Poly brainbox strikes again.
  23. Don't worry. Guided " Shit for Brains" Missile will be on here soon quoting something he doesn't understand lifted from his latest copy of "Fascist News."
  24. Many thanks all.
  25. The match is apparently live on BBC Wales. Is there anyway that you can get BBC Wales without having to be in Wales?
