  1. True. Happy memories for some.... but we're supposed to be looking forward and moving forward as a Club not backwards, 125 years of celebrations or not. This banner makes the rednose 125 Crest look a work of art. I liked the quality of the last banner. This makes the site look like some sort of amateur fanzine. This site has been cutting edge - the best forum on Saints - and influential over the years. When I look at this banner I expect to see Ronald McDonald next to the Saints bit. It is to banners what the first Ted Bates' statue was to art.
  2. Truly awful. We've gone from a classy banner to a complete joke. Utter rubbish. If I were a Pompey fan it would raise my morale. The banner is arguably the worst change to Saints since we were taken over! Shame. The forum is more user friendly though. Geckosaint..... you are needed urgently to come and redesign a banner to save the day!!!
  3. Can we order it online yet?
  4. With the collar it is similar in design to the new England shirt, making it quite like a polo shirt. Its a nice casual shirt to wear.
  5. Absolutely right... although I am sure Ormerod and Blackpool are pleased they ignored that one!
  6. Rupert Lowe
  7. Looks great, I was expecting the stripe to run top right to bottom left as you look at it, but it looks much better this way. Well done Saints! 125 years of pride.
  8. We don't do democracy on this site. Steve and the gang put all the effort in and should be allowed to choose. Exactly as any top football club should be run... from the top by an ambitious wealthy owner.
  9. Out of interest how many fans ashes have been scattered on it?
  10. 3-1 Saints win.
  11. Straight forward stripes for me - the first one. That circle one reminds me of something...
  12. This design might help, ex player afterall! Its a miracle!
  13. Saints and favourites is a new phenomena for the majority of fans.
  14. Are Pompey on minus 17? Have I missed something?
  15. Here here! I agree wholeheartedly. We have football withdrawal symptoms at present and are looking for anything to moan about to make up for it. Well the World Cup fix should calm that down! Thereafter, enjoy the signings and new strip!
  16. Concur and I can't help but think AP will find someone better/else that fits in with his plans, but you're not allowed to say such things on this site, I did and was told off by Surman's friends. lol
  17. 'Surman didnt want to be 3rd or 4th choice' MM. Blimey. Surprised he'd rate him that far down the pecking order. Maybe there's a chance he'll come back to League 1 afterall?
  18. Its a better summer than last and even better than the one before. Last summer there was a little uncertainty then euphoria, but the summer before was a nightmare. Lowe's return with a plan to bring some cloggies who were going to turn kids into super talented total football stars just in time to face the most physical league in the world. I was depressed. This summer I sit waiting for news of quality signings and the lastest betting odds to win the league. This summer I have an owner with ambition and desire. This summer I have a decent manager. This summer I have a football club to support and not a public limited company making stupid managerial and board decisions. This summer we have a world cup to provide a temporary footballing fix. This summer we prepare to promote with style. I'm content.
  19. Could you imagine a ginger Blackpool fan? It would make the man from Del Monte slip very noticably into 2nd place as the world's biggest orange man.
  20. lol! That's the one, stick a Saints logo on and you're elected!
  21. I assume there is a cost - in staff time to process the applications? If people are really that upset perhaps they should start supporting Bournemouth?....What? They have no installment plan and their STs are actually more expensive? I must admit, it does sound a little daft. We have pensioners et al who would certainly benefit from such a scheme. Surely the Club can give a little on this?
  22. I am going with Sweden.....just.
  23. Because it's the debate that makes football what it is and every aspect of a Club from top to bottom contributes in some way to the outcome - beit victorious or not. It is the for the same reason that I am so anti goal line technology; once you lose the human aspect, the debate and the argument, you lose the game... who was it that said 'football was not a game, it is more important than that'? They were right.
  24. I was about to do a piece that said; 'imagine if the new shirt was like the Emperors new clothes'...and it turned out to be a bit of a fake! ...then I realised that Newcastle had been selling the 'shirt' for years!
  25. Another leader and someone Pards knows well. I think we have a good chance of signing him.
