  1. Red and white traditional stripes is a must for next season. I like the sash but its time to announce our return!!
  2. You said it. Dyer left because we as supporters have no idea what makes a quality player, so we dissed him so much that he left and did better elsewhere -like so many others.
  3. Not so because the graph does not calculate for less games played.
  4. ...and I won on the National! (Thanks Harry Redknapp for the tip!)
  5. LOL! Genius!
  6. I can't fault NC's passion to get the job done. I wish he'd learn to explain himself better. Perhaps he needs a PR chap at Saints to advise him. I love his ambition but I'd hate to see him undermined because the press, footballing pundits, fans and ex Saints greats start a revolution.
  7. If we promote I will not be even considering this story in May. Daily Mail is utter rubbish and certainly no fan of Southampton FC. Cortese is focused - I don't think he'll survive under new ownership, should it come soon, but he's certainly focused.
  8. It's in the Daily Mail therefore highly unlikely. But, if it is true we could buy Torres from Chelski!! Sell the Club I say!
  9. Dropped. You never rest a keeper. Let's face it Kelvin lost the game at Tranmere.
  10. He was in the 2nd half. Some very dodgy decisions.
  11. We do need a more confident keeper. I'm afraid we seem to have a little weakness there. Dixon's mistake was costly and he obviously knows it. But, all in all a super performance in the round. I'm proud of my team
  12. Whilst I was chuffed to hear WGS' reaction, anyone else think he sounded a little bit tipsy on ITV?
  13. PLease buy him please! Bloody good player Cork.
  14. Very good point. Must admit I was a little shocked to see Bent valued at that much...I think he's a mediocre striker at best.

    The ref

Is that what the boos were for at fulltime .... the ref?
  16. Happy Days! Even my prediction was right! We just need to keep plugging away now. Keep winning and we can win the League. I was impressed with Adkins interview on the Footy League show a few days ago saying he was only interested in winning the League... well he may be right.
  17. Worth a 3-1 or 4-1 Saints win flutter methinks provided Adkins keeps his team more or less intact.
  18. This is good. I think Adkins should show it to the players. I sense fear in Brighton. I honestly thought we'd be pushed to hit anything other than the play-offs this year after APs departure, but I have had a big wave of New Year optimism since the last two games and 8 goals. When I read stuff like this it makes me realise that others fear us, we CAN win the league... and everyone else knows it!
  19. Gutted. No chance this team will promote in my opinion. Adkins needs to do some surgery this winter and fast. The team needs to be his not Pardews, which wouldve promoted under APs leadership but sadly he 'made mistakes' as he mentioned yesterday on interview and got the sack, probably rightly by NC. I wish we had Pards still, I wish we therefore had his team being reinforced this Christmas. We havent, which is Pardews fault to be fair. Until Adkins puts his team together we're staying in League 1. I simply cannot see us promoting this year, only losing our best players due to frustration and then a further rebuild. I think Adkins can do it, but sadly he'll need time. We have no choice, keep supporting and keep our fingers crossed until Adkins can make an impression, but I do hope its sooner rather than later. NC will also need to be kept in his box if Adkins fails this season. Consistant management and funding is the key, always was and always will be. We have the funding still (we think), now patience is needed to allow consistency.
  20. Well Ricky has been slow and not the same man we had last year banging in the goals. More than enough fans on here have been saying the same thing. So, well done Adkins. If Lambert isnt firing then sell him.
  21. Well done to KD! I think we're heading for the playoffs unless Adkins gets some cash for reinforcements in December.
  22. Redknapp is a superb manager. But, at Saints Lowe, SCW and his lack of heart all equally led to failure. I agree with others here mind, no Lowe and Redknapp supported by a decent owner and things may have been very different... I wish Lowe had left rather than Redknapp at the time.
  23. A good test of our team tonight that will tell me much about our manager and his players. Win and we're on track, lose at home and I can't help but think a dull play-off position may well deflate all of our hopes and dreams.
