Interesting debate. Each man has his qualities in a different way, so it depends when and which team you want him for: Saints in Premier League - Arry ; objectively for experience, knowledge, journalistic respect and top level player management and the ability to bring in the best. But, it would never happen and he would never wish to return. Adkins will make a good fist of it in the Premier League mind. Saints in CCC - Adkins. Complete no-brainer. Saints in League 2 wanting to relegate out of the league and out of money to buy anyone else - Wotte. Saints in Blue Square League Division South - Portaloo.

The Fox fans seem to have worked us out well. Defence poor - and quality elsewhere. By the way, their arrogance over wishing to buy Lallana should be matched by ours to want to buy Schmeichel to replace Davis IMHO. Our defence showed too many weaknesses and to be fair much of it is leadership. I am a fan of Davis, but we should note who's better and seek to replace wherever we can.

I guess we found our next goalkeeping target. We certainly need our defence strengthening. Controversial refereeing decision cost us a point and Lambert his pride. Pivotal point in the game. Deserved at least a draw. We was robbed…. but as 'Arry used to say, 'It balances out over a whole season'. And let's face it we were against a strong side and we were away from home. I am pretty upbeat.

I agree Jay Rod looks more promising - but good piece of psychological effort prior to todays game - by luck or judgement.
