We need consistency for the next 5 years. We need Pards, as we all know he'll deliver if supported. I voted definitely keep him. That said, would Ricky Lambert play for Mark Hughes? Too right he would!

Rupert Lowe and the plc regime is the reason why Arry couldnt/wouldnt perform. - Made Arry look foolish with Sir Clive Woodward from the start. - Bred a Club that had such an appalling Boardroom that it had lost touch with the footballing part of the Club (something Arry has actually said time and again). - Had already forced the purchase of mediocre players and even Arry was unable to find enough replacements in the January window to overcome the loss of quality Lowe had presided over. - The club was miserable, already defeatist and fractured. - Arry is only successful when given an open cheque book... something Lowe was never going to allow, even if it meant staying up in the Premier League. Arry is a good manager, not a miracle worker.

Fair one, I suppose the club have already denied it indirectly and directly about half a dozen times already.

7 ...................... Fact.
-
I think we'll hear something soon from the club if it's rubbish.
-
Best moment? Starting at minus ten points but forever without Lowe and the heavy chains of the plc and it's boardroom. The feeling of optimism and having Southampton Football Club back again. Onwards and upwards.

I think its highly unlikely and that this is an old story, long since discredited. But, given the strength of our backers it seems like we'd only replace Pards if we had someone better lined up. Someone better than Pards would be quite exciting! That said I am a firm believer in consistent management and that we should give Pards x5 more years to get us in and established in the Premiership, something I think he can do.

This on the other hand is fun! 'Pompey's our feeder club!'
-
One of Rupert Lowe's friends at the Daily Mail being a pain in the arse again? But why? ...or just gutter crap Mail journalism? ...or maybe a VERY high quality replacement for Pards is lined up? Who knows...sounds like crap and an old story to me.
-
I love the way he has the courage to pick an understrength team to give players their chance and to have a look at them for next season. Make no bones about it as soon as Huddersfield won last week Pards started next season. Pre-season game #1 was yesterday against Gillingham.

Indeed. The only successes of the Lowe/Wotte team are Lallana and Spiderman IMHO.

or his love for Premiership football perhaps?

Pards is a Saint. Fact.
-
Pompey's our feeder club... let's sweep for their better players in the summer and confirm their relegation to the CCC or League 1 thereafter! Makes sense if Mr Liebherr is willing!
-
Pards will stay.

It would be lunatic to take your plc into administration when you are the Chairman of a plc... that's what we were under Lowe and his gang, we were not a football club, Southampton Leisure Holdings plc is dead, Long live Southampton Football Club that has risen again from the flames. Remember: It was Southampton Leisure Holdings plc that was destroyed by Barclays, we are now Southampton Football Club once again... and with that comes optimism, success, fun and pride in our club. Best banking decision made in recent years if you ask me!
-
I think that's fair. I don't think Lowe was evil and wanted to destroy the Club, he was just incompetent. Sorry Professor, but Barclay's Bank removed the bloke who forgot to plan to avoid the place where the U Boats patrolled. Barclays Bank provided the lifecraft, after the torpedo, and then provided the conditions for success. I remain convinced we'd have relegated to League 2 with Lowe and Wotte this year. I'm afraid that Barclay's realised that Lowe's methods, leadership, alienation of the fan base, lack of confidence, arrogance and general financial incompetence meant that the ship was already sinking fast. Thank you Barclays for not only landing us on a Tropical Island but for providing us with a luxury yacht to return to the top flight.

Hang on a minutes, is that right? No. No, it isn't.

oh well. -
Lowe held out for way too long, finally trying Barclays Bank patience for his financial incompetence as well as the fans. Barclays Bank removed Lowe and did this club the greatest favour in our most recent 20 odd year history. Barclays are not to blame for the deduction, purely the imcompetence of Lowe. Without Barclays pulling the plug we'd be in a relegation battle and heading for League 2 with lowe still bumbling on with that eejit Wotte and his pesky kids playing Totally Crap Dutch football. So Barclays are actually far from to blame they are to be congratulated for their decisiveness in setting this Club back on the right path and ridding us of the plc and Lowe forever.
