  1. This one goes down as a 'Job done' in my book. 6 more 'Jobs done' and we will be in a playoff place... but it's a tall order. Well done AP and the lads nonetheless... go for it!
  2. No way... they'd still get losers medal and a day out with more cash to survive in the CCC next season. Understand your humiliation sentiment though. No more nice days for Pompey, it all ends today I sincerely hope, with the igmony and irony of defeat to the man who started their final rot.
  3. Not sure 'alot of other managers' would've come to a side in our predicament at the time. AP has shown early dedication and was far from cautious in his own selection of a Club. He is on a longterm mission to return us to the Premiership and sill working out his players and a Division-winning system. I think he's down superbly considering the mess left for him by Lowe and Wotte.
  4. I agree.
  5. I'm also backing Agent Crouch to score today! '...Used to be a Skate but he's alright now!' ...and Bale for a hatrick!!
  6. LOL! Brilliant. Always sparks a reaction! Still... come on 'Arry finish yer job of destroying Pompey for good!!
  7. Agreed. Hope, ambition, no debt and heroes to cheer on. We're making exactly the right progress for this stage in our rebuild under a decent manager and better still a decent Boardroom.
  8. I know who I'm supporting! Go Double-Agent Redknapp! You've sent them down - eventually - and now it's time to send them out of the cup!!
  9. Results going our way so far! Norwich losing, Swindon losing, Leeds drawing... etc
  10. Go Double-Agent Redknapp!!! Finish off your job and kick them outa the cup!!
  11. Sorry, but one of the greatest failures of Rupert Lowe was failing to keep or give managers a chance over a decent period - for me that period has always been 5-6 seasons. It is a large part of the reason we are where we are. At the start of this season we were heading for Div 2 with a team full of kids and a rather strange Dutch manager. We now have an impressive piece of silver wear, the top manager in the league, the best players in the league and look to finish just outside the playoffs, when I for one expected a further relegation or at best JUST surviving. My - realistic - expectations were to hope we might, just might finish mid-table with a new manager and an owner who cared. We will surpass that, and in style with a Wembley win. Alan Pardew is employed to get us back into the Premiership in 5 years. Year one is rebuild. Year 2 is promotion to the CCC. Year 3-4 CCC rebuilding and progression and year 5 is Premier League all over again. In 5 years time I will ask for his head if we're not knocking on the door of the Premiership or in it. Until then, in Alan Pardew I trust.
  12. Hate to say I told you so again, but I did warn everyone last season about Swindon as we cascaded down under Lowe... mind you even I am surprised they are where they are now.
  13. Will there be an open top bus procession through Southampton? I bloody hope so!!!
  14. Antonio MOTM, no doubts about it.
  15. Cortese is setting a high standard and holding his manager accountable for his actions. But, he's no fool. This is a man with desire and ambition, striving for success and that includes not just promotion but expanding the club towards a huge stadium. The difference between him and Lowe is he has the financial backing and the ambition. Pardew will be here for a while yet. But, nothing wrong with keeping the managers ambition focussed. I am loving the latest set up. It has desire and ambition running top to bottom unlike the last regime of eejits.
  16. . nuff said. I so love my Club again.
  17. 'Famous Faces' not 'infamous'.
  18. Does it always have a small 'Give Way' sign stuck to the roof?
  19. Well he'll be a Saints fan again for the rest of his life again now if he's a 'glory seeking crunt', welcome back Craig!!
  20. *Making pledge to sing all the way through as loud as possible*
  21. Longer journey for the small amount of Carlisle fans to make after the clocks went forward.... I trust our red and white masses will naturally exploit their night time advantages and we will sing our heads off throughout. Indeed, I know we will, we were made for Wembley occassions! Today is a day that everyone sees the true Saints fans, hardcore fans, passive fans, those who just come for success. But if Cortese is right and we need to move to a bigger stadium, along with the success that will accompany that decision, we will see a minimum of the amount of fans in Wembley today on a weekly basis at the New Dell/St Mary's. Enjoy the future. I love supporting this club now that ambition and desire has once more returned... .LOVE IT!
  22. ???
  23. I am sure that's a 7 not a 1.
  24. You must be a Carlisle fan.
