  1. You still move up the MPS ladder, but each section has been frozen. Once inflation is factored in, teachers are taking a pay cut like the majority of others.
  2. It's what happens when everyone hates you Anyway, I don't think this is particualrly about political leaning, i'm sure there are many left wingers in the Private and vice versa.
  3. Absolutely. If you aren't going to protect your own interests then who on earth is? The Private Sector, the sector of the weak.
  4. I bet the 70 who lost their jobs aren't so philosophical mind you!
  5. Life's a *****! It obviously can't be that bad though, even with the 5% reduction in your pension, otherwise you'd be doing anything possible for a position in the Public Sector. Of course it could be argued that it's Private Sector employee's with the chip on the shoulder, seeing as they enjoy inflated salaries, inflated benefits (healthcare, overtime, purchasing shares) then many of their Public Sector counterparts, yet they still begrudge them a half decent pension!
  6. I never realised the Private Sector had such massive chips on their shoulders. If you think it's so great, why don't you go and find out for yourself? Or would you miss the BUPA healthcare too much?
  7. It's a Tuesday night.
  8. Pompey away criteria IMO: Over 18 Under 60 Male No replica shirts By train only
  9. Not many. Four, maybe five at a push. We'll get 2000 odd though, some people won't fancy it just because it's Pompey and they might think it's not worth the hassle. I'm pretty sure the last two visits made General Sale anyway.
  10. With respect, nobody would probably care if you went on strike, as it's unlikely to affect 99% of people. Binmen, Teachers, Nurses, Fireman etc can strike, and it can have an impact because of the numbers it affects. It might not be right, but it's true.
  11. That is complete and utter nonsense. I've worked in both, for massive multi-national companies right to Councils and Schools. There is just as much waste, bull**** and time wasting in the Private Sector, if not more. It's just nobody cares because in essence, it isn't wasting taxpayers money.
  12. West Ham v Cardiff I expect.
  13. Looks like I might be missing Milwall home due to holiday which is a shame. Why is it when you hope for Barnsley or Coventry you normally end up with one of the better fixtures?
  14. Brighton is 2nd January, a Bank Holiday, probbaly with a 3pm kick off, and Palace is Easter Monday, again probably 3pm! Fine they aren't Saturday's but hardly mid-week. I'll give you the other two though.
  15. It's half term so i'm off work, and the night before my birthday, so that's always my excuse.
  16. Simple, it won't be. We will play them on the 7th, probably with a 12pm kick off. The away game may well be moved to the 18th December though.
  17. West Ham are home to Cardiff that day though, so it'll be Leeds and those two meeting in London first day! He had a point...
  18. As a trainee teacher next year, these fixtures have worked out a treat. Both Skate games in the holidays, West Ham in half term the night before my birthday, Brighton away also in the xmas holidays....Lovely! Blackpool away in March AGAIN, don't think we ever play them up there any other time of the year. First two at home to Leeds and Milwall will be tasty too.
  19. Some great dates in here! Pompey away last weekend before xmas, and home to them easter saturday! Brighton away Jan 2nd. First two home games Leeds and Milwall, Lovely.
  20. skates away 17th december, merry xmas!!

    Bridgey

He is absolutely loaded, but has acheived nothing. Personal choice I suppose, can't say I blame him.
  22. Snap. I love Tenerife.
  23. Henderson is so overrated. £20million? Do me a favour.
  24. It's not just the forum, it's in real life too. People take life far too seriously. Everyone needs to calm down, enjoy themselves and stop worrying and getting worked up over everything. I hate hassle so I absolutely avoid it.
