  1. MS has done nothing since he left us. He probably regrets leaving now. good to know he still follows us, but have him back? No thank you, those days are gone. The only 'returns' I remember as a success were Don Roper back from Arsenal (50s) and Mick Channon back from Man City (80s)
  2. Yes, that's the way it is, but if he gets poached it will mean we've had a good spell and he will leave us in a stronger position than when he arrived. So it is sad football has got like this but it is a win/win situation if he's good which is better than the lose/lose situation under the last three misfits
  3. Not every one has a downer on Kelvin, he is a great club man and good to have around. Some 'fans' just like to have hate figures, wish they would go down the road and join that lot
  4. I am happy with Kelvin, he is of proven loyalty, we need at least one with a love of the club and of the area, he is not the top guy (except for one week) he deserves full support as he gave as a player. Don't understand people knocking him
  5. Yoshida has been under-played, he hasn't under-performed
  6. I believe the squad is strong and has a lot of talent it just needs good management ie coaching and togetherness not constant changes every week. If Romeu rediscovers his defensive role and Redmond is used as speedy winger it will change for the better at both ends. The loser will be Austin and possibly Davis which is sad because he is a real professional and has given us a lot. This squad properly used and fit will be good to watch---you gotta believe

    Physio treatment
  8. He would make sure we had a good phsio
  9. Strange thread for a fan.More negative than the team or the management.
  10. Surely the new DoF will want a big say in who is appointed manager? Or perhaps there isn't going to be a DoF because we'll need every penny we've got to pay off MH. Oh dear how did we get in this mess, everything was so stable. Only two seasons ago we ended 8th and played |Liverpool four times without conceding a goal
  11. The manager doesn't rate them. Makes me think they are probably ok

Whoi are 'they'? Is it the Canadian hockey man? Is it the Chinese owner? Is it the Swiss German, Big Kat? And how will any of them know who to appoint? They can't seem to find anyone to replace Les. Does any one care? The players need to know even more than we do.

That's the trouble! Its not the players fault, they are up to it. It's off the field, no one knows what they are doing--or seems to care. The onfield only ref;ects the off-field

True. The really upsetting thing is it is all self inflicted. We have scored one own goal after another. Off the field leadership has been worse than on the field performance. I still believe this squad is a mile better than its league position suggests and I don't blame on field as much as off field

But they'll never take a drop in wages, so we will be lumbered with them. Relegation will do us no favours at all. Where will the money to rebuild come from? And how can you rebuild if the present players can't or wont depart? Relegation is the death trap not a pass to salvation

Hughes was sacked at Man City, sacked at Ipswich, sacked at QPR, sacked at Stoke, what makes anyone think he will be any different here?
  17. O'Neil and Keane? What was their record? No wins in eleven and no goals in four? Perfect, just what we need.
  18. But who are the powers that be? Who is there to make decisions? The Chinese guy we have never seen? The Canadian ice hockey guy? The German/Swiss lady? Who is there?
  19. We have the club record signing and our own young lad and Bednarek not picked. Explain that!

Yes, i agree, very sadly, but add one comment : both May and Hughes inherited almost impossible situations because of the failures and errors of those before them, can't blame them alone and can't see their successors doing much better...change of government in both cases needed---and the options don't look good!
  21. More dinosaurs on the treadmill, round and round they go, please don't stop here
  22. WAs the QPR collapse more Hughes or more Harry?
  23. What makes you think we will get a feel good factor? just because it worked last time? It would be so easy to 'do a Sunderland' under the present regime

    Hughes OUT

I agree, the present squad if they were properly fit and played without chopping and changing each week is perfectly capable of top 10 but they dont look fit and they dont look confident in each other
