How much are we paying Lincoln ????
-
Hmmm ..... Let the Team sit there then .... perhaps they would then get a better idea of "Team Patterns" themselves ..... with particular reference to their popular " Headless Chicken" pattern ...
-
OK It is just my opinion of course, but, IMHO, I think it a waste of time in sending negative thoughts to St Mary's, whether it be Upper OR Lower case:)
-
That sentance sums it up really I am sure I am not alone in many of the comments I made. As one of the crowd last night, I called it as I saw it, IMHO, we played abysmally .... a complete "opposite" from last Saturday I do not particularly want AP's job, but it is a Fool who does not at least listen to comments being made as to how HIS Team are, or are not, performing Sounds like you did not go last night, If you did. I am very surprised as how dismissive of my comments you are, and how happy at Saints performance you must be We came close to being dumped out last night, and if Torquay had taken a great chance in the last few minutes .... we would have been
-
Just about sums it up. I thought we were Krap to be honest. The instructions seemed to be, " don't pass, just Hoof" .... and " see how far you can head the ball, preferably to an opponent" .... Perhaps Pardew should employ some Football Coaches to TEACH players how to PASS, and CROSS .... Give Terry Paine a ring It's a WASTE OF TIME sending such "moans and groans " to the Club FAO Mr Pardew, as they either don't get through, or he doesn't want to know anyway, but IMHO, the Standard of Saints Football last night was Very Very Poor, in fact, the ONLY Football came from Torquay Oh yes, just a note for the Goalkeeping Coach .... You've nearly got it right .... When the ball is in the opponents half, Kelvin comes off his line, ( halfway to the centre circle in fact) THAT NEARLY COST US A GOAL But, When the ball comes into Kelvin's own six yard box, a lot of the time he STAYS on his line ...... ask any Top Line keeper, ie Jennings, Banks, Shilton, Clemence etc etc, and they will tell you that "anything in the six yard box is the Keepers "
-
Not as such, but it would explain why he was "injured", and did not play on Sat ..
-
The Northam are the loudest and most vociferous of the St Mary's Faithfull ... but I do find it Pathetic that STILL the most vocal of the chants is still the antiquated, outdated one ending "We hate Pompey, We hate Pompey" What the hell has that got to do with CHEERING THE SAINTS ON ???? Time to move on, BIG TIME:cool:

I find that strange coming from you dubai phil ... I think it fair to say that most people on here know me as a 1000% ANTI LOWEITE ... always have been Pardew drew the short straw from the point of limited time after the Pinnacle debacle, but it is still my point of view that the TEAM is not playing as I, and many others had expected it to perform at this stage Hiding behind the residue of what was inherited DOES have it's limits, I would venture to say that a lot of people were expecting Saints to be in a PLUS points situation by now Even amatuer Saturday or Sunday players know the basics of how to play Football ........... when you see so called Professionals who "appear" not to know the same basics begars belief, IMHO OK, it is on record that he is looking to bring in support for Lambert ... I question the fact that UNTIL he gets someone, what is the point of asking Lambert to play the type of game that does NOT suit his Bristol Rovers type Goalscoring I'm a ST holder for more years than I care to admit..... As I've said many times, I moan on here ..... at the match, I cheer the Saints:)

Not so .... they are a means by which tI can direct the reader to another word ... Simples:D
-
Stern John left ages ago .... and as regards the Poles, I believe they are melting at an alarming rate ......
-
Good points ......... perhaps it might be worth someone suggesting to Pardew and his Prem Quality assistant Coaches/Managers that they could have a look at those deficiencies ..........and, hey, yes, I know ... COACH the players on how to do them ..... .... I mean, we are only Fans, yet we noticed the lack of those assets ages ago .... Goal scoring ??? ..... I bet Ron Davies is eternally grateful he had Paine and Sydenham in the same Team .... those two knew how to do all those things.....and as a result, we scored SHEDLOADS The simple things are always the most effective ............ ( as the wife keeps telling me )
-
Well, I didn't see all of Lambert's goals for Rovers ... but I did see enough to realise that he is not an out and out "target" man, more of a "poacher", coming from deeper out As regard sto everybody pointing out that we did not have a welth of strikers at the start of the season, my answer is the same as it was then ......ie, we had Rasiak, and if the Lazy SOB did not want to Play, then he was in breach of Contract .... so WHY PAY HIM Apart from that, if is was THAT clear that we needed another striker, Pardew should have gone out and got one..INSTEAD of leaving Lambert all alone up front, and watch his goals Tally plummet The Jury has been out a while now .... we are the "envy" of most other Div 1 Clubs as regards available resources etc, yet we are STILL in a MINUS points situation The excuses are beginning to wear thin .... Pardew has NOT assembled a WINNING TEAM
-
Miles into the season, Pardew informs us fans that he "wants" to bring in a Striker, to help Lambert out up front ..... Funny, if it were not so serious ..... Last season, Lambert was TOP SCORER in Div 1, ( for Bristol Rovers) WHY ???? ..... because they UTILISED HIS STRENGTHS, and played to them. He was NOT however, their Front Target man So why did Pardew the Prophet shove him in as mainly a Lone Striker, and still expect the Goals to come along as they did for Rovers last season ??? ...Lambert is not that sort of Goal Predater ........ of COURSE he neede someone up front with him .... over 20000 Regulars could have told Pardew that .........BAD TEAM MANAGEMENT IMHO I think Pardew has been tacticly inept, and is playing the wrong system. Whichever way you look at it .... He has brought in SEVEN new players, and the nett result is, we are (currently) no better reults wise from what we were last season It is not good enough Pardew .... your tactics/ system is WRONG
-
Saga and Lambert are suffering from "Mid Week Church Syndrome" ... ...... NO SERVICE
-
I agree, but that is not the problem .....The problem is, can they ADAPT to the rough tough life in Div 1 ??? We always seem to be "One League Behind " When in the CCC last year, we DID try to play Prem Type Football Now, in Div 1, we are still trying to play CCC type Football We MUST adapt to the League we are in, which may not be pretty, but it WILL be effective IMHO:cool:
-
The main one being his SHOTS AT GOAL ..... .... something that the Saints Coaches should suggest to the REST OF OUR FORWARDS Still too much Tippy Tappy stuff without the SHOT AT GOAL at the end of it
-
Most likely the reason that they don't ........
-
Yes, I do ..... could head the ball further than some players could kick it ... " Big Bad John "
-
I hear what you say, BUT, I don't agree entirely .... Davis did have to make far too many saves IMHO Better quality strikers would have converted some of those I think Still a great result for Saints though:cool:
-
As was Sunderland getting promoted when Roy Keane took over as Manager ???? ..... Funny old game Saints , Funny old game ........

Before today's match We were on -5. 11 points from 4th bottom, and 17 points from 6th After today's match We are on -2, 8 points from 4th bottom, and 16 points from 6th Plus of course, we gained 3 points on Pompey :D:D Oh Joy :cool::cool:
