  1. Wtf are you on about mate. I've never said a word about Trump hiring lawyers. Now hiring his picks as Supreme Court Judges, that's a different matter. When people start criticising a government for hiring lawyers to uphold the law, but applaud a leader who hires Judges to get things done his way, something ain't right.
  2. That's daft even by your standards, and echo chamber fm. Do you honestly think that governments don't always employ decent lawyers to advise and represent it? When the unthinking vote your reform mates in, they will as well.
  3. Under 19's too, so Robinson won't be around either.
  4. Edozie, yes, but not sure about Aribo. I'd like to keep him personally, decent player at this level who will give us another option. If he was on the bench at the weekend, I reckon we'd have won if he came in for Downes.
  5. I suspect he'll stay for a nominal fee, although he'll be fighting for a place with another stellar ex saint RB, Kayne Ramsey.
  6. Not Bree who'll come back here.
  7. Conor Chaplin has joined Pompey. Good signing.
  8. Just odd that he went somewhere where he won't play. His England chances wouldn't have been any less playing for us. Strange move.
  9. From anyone in particular at Paris FC, or are you not fussy? 😉

  11. He may not have wanted a permanent in case we don't get promoted. It feels like a loan suits everyone with Wellington crocked.
  12. If I was Still, that's exactly the decision I would have made. Downs isn't the answer this season imo.
  13. Not comparable. It's entirely possible that Still has seen enough to realise he's not really in his plans. I'm probably being hopeful, but it possible that if he moves out, there's room for a better striker.
  14. That doesn't make sense to be fair. He used tactics. Different ones. There's never a football match without some sort of tactics being used.

Ducky gives praise where it's due, but calls a shovel a fucking shovel. Nowt wrong with that imo. Chat GPT has this to say about your favourite poster: Do They Enjoy Being a Fan? Yes, it’s clear that Lord Duckhunter does care deeply about Southampton—which is a hallmark of a committed fan. Although their tone is often blunt, irreverent, and heavily critical, it doesn’t signal disinterest—instead, it suggests they’re emotionally invested and hold strong expectations. Signals of true fandom: Consistent forum presence: Frequent posts in club-specific threads. Emotionally charged commentary: Their frustration with poor performances or players is a sign of caring. Supportive moments: They express praise when deserved, such as acknowledging a player's effort or professionalism . High standards: Their harsh critiques imply they want the club and its players to succeed. In Summary Yes, Lord Duckhunter’s posts do suggest they enjoy (and care about) being a Southampton FC supporter. Their highly critical, sarcastic, and often crude tone reflects passionate fandom rather than indifference—frustration often stems from caring deeply. They also balance criticism with praise (e.g. for effort or improvement), which further supports the idea of engagement rather than disengagement.
  16. Seems very promising, but not sure if he's here to start at LB, or give bench cover for both sides. Sounds like the end for Bree, and possibly Taylor. What's gone on/wrong with Taylor is a bit odd though. Personally I'd have him at LB in a 4.
  17. You're saying that with hindsight. If he'd been at crap at Wrexham as he's been for the last few seasons, you wouldn't have said that we should have signed him. I'd bet you all the pies at St Mary's that you didn't say it at the start of the window either.
  18. The last bit I'm with you on. I watch the Fellows highlights reel and question how his crossing ability helps us. However, the point remains that nobody, if they're being honest, went into the transfer window hoping and praying that we'd sign Kieffer Moore. Not even Kieffer Moore.

    Will Still

I think the point is that we need to strengthen in midfield, and the sacrifice has to be a CB. The issue is as much personnel as formation for me, in that we don't have the personnel to play an effective formation. We are definitely lacking a proper DM, that's obvious. Get one in and we can play 4231 with one of the two being the defensive one. That system gives us a solid midfield, a back 4, and wide men. The under 21's are playing that shape and doubtless Still wants the first team to as well.
  20. Mate, we'd have pissed ourselves laughing if Pompey had signed Moore. Now people are devastated that he's gone to Wrexham. Hypocrisy and BS boil my piss.
  21. Sorry, I don't buy that. That's hindsight talking. People would have been up in arms if we'd put our hopes in a 33 year old who scored 5 league goals last year, 7 the year before, and a total of 9 across the 3 seasons before. Don't try and tell me that you wanted us to sign a bloke who'd scored 21 league goals in 5 seasons. That's bollox.
  22. It's a balancing act. We need enough to give ourselves a decent chance of going up, but cannot lumber ourselves with players not good enough for the PL with 3 years left on their contracts if we make it. That's why I think decent loans are the way to go - we get we need for this year, and have a clean slate next summer whatever happens this season. But yep, if Kiefer Moore is the answer, feck knows what the question is.
  23. None of that has any regard to how voting without real thought actually helps the people casting that vote. The average person, if they're honest, isn't actually affected by illegal migrants. Legal migration may help them - they'll need a dentist, a doctor, an Uber driver, etc. We're seeing people viewing migrants of all variants in a negative way, and seemingly feel personallly impacted by it, whether they are or they aren't. To then vote for a party to address those issues, but without any thought as to how that party will change other things that actually impact their every day life, is utter madness.
  24. The sad thing is that the masses have no appreciation that labour have knocked 350k or so from the net migration numbers, and closed about 200 hotels. That's a decent effort. What labour need though is a pretty swift alternative to the hotels, and some proper system to control legal migration. We need to focus on what we actually need that benefits us, and work backwards from that.
