Dunno...I think there's a dedicated 12 step programme...kind of like AA but for sex addicts.
-
I CBA to get into this with you SoG. I haven't mentioned Evans and have no interest in other cases. If you want a tussle with Duckie about what he's said, have it with him. I will say this though. You plainly have no understanding of addiction and how it manifests itself. An addict, by definition of the illness, has lost the power of choice. That said, if Brand has crossed the line and done anything non consensual or otherwise illegal then he must face the music. However, being a sex addict (consensually) isn't a matter that he should be judged on.
-
Yep. It doesn't look good at all. There seems to be a case to answer there.
-
The genius tactic of pushing the best attacking RB in the league into midfield, and then pushing your actual midfielders god knows where, is definitely different.
-
I get that SoG, but Brand will not be tried in any court in any country for legal but immoral behaviour, legal but unpleasant behaviour, pursuing woman and then having consensual sexual relations, being an addict, being a shit comedian, or for being the general toerag that he seems to be. Let's see what happens in terms of any alleged criminal act - ultimately that's where all this seems to be leading.
-
Yep. The writing was on the wall before he arrived. The letters are getting bigger with each game, unfortunately.
-
I can just imagine people racing to get home, finding a space on the street, getting their little cable out and plugging it into the lamppost and catching up with the neighbours all doing the same. Lovely.
-
Every village and town will like like bloody Blackpool if we stick enough street lamps up to serve the vehicles that aren't on peoples driveways! Rows of terraced houses may have a few street lamps, but 2 cars to most houses. Zero prospect of the street lamps servicing that lot. Blocks of flats similar. It's a pipe dream.
-
Behave. It's been downhill since Wednesday. He arrived with naive tactics and still uses the same naive tactics. If the performances are positives, the fans will be.
-
He needs to show some insight that what's happening is a clusterfuck and needs changing pronto. Not acknowledging that, and trotting out the same naive tactics on the pitch, doesn't inspire any confidence.
-
I'd be with you if what's happening now is anything new. It isn't though - this is what happened and Swansea. He couldn't change it there, and so far has made no tactical changes here to improve things. If we lose heavily tomorrow he has to be under huge pressure. I'm partly with you on the booing and jeering the players during the game point. Sure, we need to get behind the lads, but you can't seriously expect disgruntled fans not to acknowledge shite play or mistakes. Sure, a few of the players are kids, but if they're apparently good enough to play, then they're old enough to take due criticism.
-
It would be an absolute mauling. Imagine Haaland, Alvarez, and Foden being left 3 on 1 against us.
-
Only Baz from that lot was a weekly starter. Bednarek was at Villa, Adams in/out of the team and public enemy number 1, AA was mostly a sub at best, ditto SA, Edozie was in and out, Aribo a reserve, Alcaraz and Kamaladeen were late to the party, Smallbone was at Stoke. S-Clarke is correct, the nucleus of this years team is new.
-
Any more 3 or 4 goal pastings, and I'd be close to being happy with a bit of Warnock pragmatism.
-
Yep. It's mental, as is the belief that there is any prospect that people in flats and terraced houses will have a the ability to charge their vehicles at home. The government need to concede to common sense on this one.
-
With some joined up thinking, there's no reason why, going forward, there can't be uniform battery tech, and uniform charging for those batteries. The difficulty though is that all manufacturers are jockeying for position and knocking out their own produce as the next best thing. The whole thing is a complete farce. Completely unachievable and environmentally disastrous in reality.
-
Yep. And he's also never hidden what he is. In the launch material for his Recovery book he said "I am an addict, addicted to drugs, alcohol, sex, money, love and fame". He's also described himself as a predator. The rape allegation though is particularly nasty, and it's hard to see how people loyal to him can look past that.
-
The 2 x allegations in this jurisdiction are with women (albeit 1 only 16 years old - morally wrong, but not unlawful) who both seemingly had consensual relationships with him. Whether Brand's behaviour falls into the new control and coercive behaviour categories I don't know, but I'm not sure what else he could potentially be tried for over here. It seems that the alleged rape and sexual assaults were in the states.
-
What do you mean that he "has already started to milk" the publicity? He really hasn't. He's denied the allegations, and last night honoured a commitment. Getting on with things the best he can is not "milking" anything.
-
Yesterday they made 6 changes and went to old trafford and got their manager booed off the park. We've never had the strength in depth at PL level to do that. Up to Koeman we got it right. Up to the VVD sale we mostly got it right. After that our recruitment has mostly been a pile of shite.
-
Ha!! Show me a period on our PL return where we've consistently signed players and managers as successfully as Brighton, and I'll agree with you...
-
He's a self confessed sex addict/predator so rumours supporting that aren't a surprise in themselves. The area of concern is anything non consensual, or otherwise illegal.
-
Lots to agree with there. The inverted full back concept just isn't working. The logical thing, as you say, is surely to have one full going while the other one sits. If we play that way I can see a role for Bree, and if happily see KWP shift to the other side. I wouldn't ditch Manning though - I think he'd add something in the midfield where he's played most of his pro games.
