That post makes little sense either. Selling Che or letting him walk for nothing has nothing to do with Alcaraz.
-
That makes no sense on any level. We've wasted a fortune and recouped some of it. We're stuck with the wages on big Paul and other players we won't play, plus money due on our multiple failed signings. To ditch our deadwood, we'll doubtless have to put our hands in our pockets. As a fan I'd like to keep him. As a business person, I can see that any sensible business owner would take the money and reinvest.
-
We've got people whining that we're selling him, after calling for him to be sold only a few weeks ago. Couldn't make it up. On your main point, there's no guarantee he'll get the goals to get us promoted. It's also unclear whether RM wants him - he's started him once in three games. Regardless, it's pretty obvious that SR would have taken the best bid for him. Hopefully we'll reinvest sensibly and quickly.
-
I cannot believe we've got people saying that we should turn down the money and let him walk for free next season. Football is a business for SR. Business owners don't throw £15m away, especially having seen a monumental amount of money wasted over the past windows. The opinion that we've made a lot of money from sales is a fallacy. In truth, we've recouped a lot of the money we've wasted on shite.

They'll be desperate now that Calvert-Lewin is crocked. There'll be a few million reasons why he'll be tempted.
-
Indeed. We were massively disliked under Cortese, but as long as a) clubs like us enough to send us their better youngsters on win/win deals, and b) good players like us enough to come here, who gives a monkeys.
-
I read that as his opinion that we should ask for €25-30m, not that we are.

Hemp had a couple of half chances first half. Other than that, we created nothing. We were worse 2nd half after the tactical changes. Spain were significantly better.
-
They've been so much better, we've almost come 3rd in a 2 horse race.
-
True. Just not been effective enough for me. To be fair to her though, we've been so wasteful and she's tried to play off the last defender but just hasn't got it right.
-
-
They're not alone. Bronze had been dreadful, Hemp wasteful, and Kelly poor since she's been on.
-
Love our keepers attitude! Was a "fuck off" to someone in that little tirade. Good lass.
-
Can't agree with that. Shouldn't have taken 20 views. Was bloody obvious.
-
Not sure why that took 4 mins. Pen all day long.
-
It is if you do something with the ball, it isn't if you don't and/or give it and concede goals. Very simplistic to say that possession will or won't win you games.
-
Yep, but not sure what she can do tactically against a much better and quicker team. Interestingly, I heard the other day that there's a push to get her involved in the mens game. No details were given and I'm not sure if it was meant as national team level or club level.
-
Yep. They're better than us all over the pitch, have more pace, and seem better conditioned. Tough to see a way back.
-
If their tennis was 5 sets they'd be playing bloody long matches with those rallies. The mens game can go five sets cos they hang down so many aces or serve/volley quick points. Agree re the keeper though, wasn't set.
-
Should have been 2. Our tactic of not bothering to mark people ain't the wisest.
-
As has been said, that was coming. Poor from us in midfield, but a great cross field ball in the build up. Decent finish too.
-
Yep. Awful tackle. This is the first game I've watched. Better quality and much more aggressive than I was expecting. They play better football than us, and have more pace in their team. Good game though.

Attacking CM. Ryan Finnigan is more of a conventional CM/ ditto Cameron Bragg. Finnigan apparently did well on loan at Crewe in the second half of last season. He came off early for the B team on Friday (as did Ballard) so I half expected him to be on the bench with Ballard yesterday.
