Blimey, that's a bit of a stretch! I have my doubts how much of a virus Valery actually had, but if it's glandular fever, I rather doubt that 1. Che and Obafemi have caught it, but 2. If they have, that they're playing football still.
That's not really how it works is it.
How about if we had 2 Ings rather than Ings and Long. We'd have scored double the goals and be pushing Liverpool. Or something.
I'm not sure we have, but posters on here have guessed that's what we've done.
Personally I'd have taken the money and kept Yoshida who even at this stage of his career is better than Vestergaard will ever be.
If we sell him I suspect it'll be when another year of his contract has clicked over, so mid July onwards.
As has been said above, there's a world of difference between what happens and what is reported and acted upon. You're not gonna persuade me that society is worse now than in the days of bananas being thrown at black players. In those days no action was taken. These days, incidents are fewer but action, quite rightly, is much more common when there is an incident.
And don't you dare suggest thay I am a problem in respect of racism. There's a line not to cross.
The point being made was that we're struggling for a RB cos we sold one injured RB, signed one injured one, and had one on his way back to fitness. Had we kept the injured Cedric we'd be no better off.
I get all that and broadly agree. I'm not advocating gay players coming out as such, live and let live, my point is that I'd be staggered if there'd be the negativity that there would have been once upon a time.
