  1. Forgive me, that's the vote that I was referring to. I agree with Bercow on that. She's asked twice, lost twice, and it's be undemocratic to keep bashing away by asking the same question imo. In terms of another referendum/peoples vote, I was a leave man and confess that I didn't foresee these issues re backstop etc and I assumed that my vote would mean leaving with the a deal that meant a seamless continuation of trade. That's not where we are at and Mays deal may mean that happens down the line but as of now it doesn't. It locks us into a pseudo EU vacuum and means we negotiate our future EU trade deal from a position of weakness. Whether we leave with that deal, no deal (with clear cross party information about what precisely that means re trade, movement, law, NI, etc) or we remain should absolutely be determined by the people - that is democratic.
  2. Because democracy does not involve keep asking for an answer to the same question until you get your preferred answer.
  3. Personally, no deal. Much better to negotiate without wearing a noose than with.
  4. Quite... but why the assumption that if there's no May deal, and no no deal, and no extension, that there's a 3rd vote for May's deal? It's probable, but there are other options.
  5. Agreed, but Brexit is possible with GFA, although it would involve the ROI defying Brussels to uphold the GFA so completely unrealistic.
  6. No deal, with both the ROI and us refusing to invoke a border. Unrealistic, but theoretically possible.
  7. Forgive me. I appreciate we can seek an extension, and need all 27 to agree. The (badly worded) question was whether the EU can trigger an extension, without us seeking it, and impose it upon us. I genuinely don't know the answer.
  8. Perhaps, but I don't think we're heading that way. It's feeling like a very contrived move towards remain.
  9. That may have been the case, but where we are now, the EU are clear that it's this deal or no deal or revoke. We ain't in charge.
  10. Perhaps. With no deal, and no deal ruled out, and no extension, it can only be revocation or referendum. I think. Is there an option for the EU to extend article 50 and impose it on us?
  11. "Someone else's deal". The EU have said that this is the only deal.
  12. I reckon it'll be no to no deal and no to the extension. Her comment tonight that the government will implement any vote against a no deal was interesting and all but suggests revoking the existing law - I'm not sure what else she could have meant. No deal, and no to no deal, and no extension, all points to a 2nd referendum imo. Complete farce.
  13. He's often on the bench. O'Driscoll, O'Connor, and now Alfie Jones are all ahead of him.
  14. That's a strong team - Tyreke Johnson only making the bench!
  15. This. If she'd joined a murderous gang in this country at age 15 she'd be arrested and tried as someone presumed to have the capacity to be accountable for her actions. It's odd how some people seem to think that the age for accountability should be higher in this particular case.
  16. No Ramsay, Jones or Vokins. Surprised by that - can only assume injury or close to the 1st team.
  17. Alpine Saint 31.03.2018 "Its time to consign Tadic, Boufal and Redmond to the SFC history book. Sims definitiely needs to be convinced he has a role next season in the Championship, or we'll lose him. I would also play Yoshi before Stephens. Next summer, get what we can for our "superstars" and rebuild, from the back, just like Pardew did. I particularly dont want to see those three AMs in the 2018/2019 Saints kit." Now look at what he is saying. ****ing idiot.
  18. "No amount of education" is education from police, read my post in the context of the post I was responding to. Education by police will revolve around highlighting the bloody obvious, ie cutting people harms them, and you if your caught, etc. Tell me how that will erode the current culture. What's needed is to give the youth something positive to do with their time and a channel for their frustration. Telling them that cutting other kids is bad won't solve a thing. Social media needs clamping down on for sure - if the stuff that gets filmed doesn't get a social media platform it loses its power. No idea why raise Somalian immigrants. This is not an African immigrant issue, is it?
  19. There is more than just catching kids in the act, but do you really believe that greater police numbers can help make a difference to what we're seeing on the streets? Turkish highlights one particular case where a culture that has become part of youth culture could have ended tragically. No amount of education and befriending will address that culture imo. Hypo and Turkish mentioned above something about kids no longer scrapping and moving on as previous generations did. I think it was Troy Deeney who spoke about kids fearing losing, it being filmed, posted on social media and getting a roasting. Thus they don't scrap. They feel the need to show they're a tough guy by cutting someone. This is a social change which for me will not be addressed by police numbers. Sure, some incidents may be avoided by greater police presence, but the cases this year alone, both the frequency and nature of them, show that we've got a huge problem that policing will not address.
  20. Unless there were police officers in the actual areas where those tragic events happened with the 2 X 17 year olds, how would more police have prevented those incidents? How would more police reverse a hideous culture of kids doing these things for kicks and/or the badge of honour that they see them as? Please don't turn my comment into a political and/or race thing, my expressed opinion purely relates to police and an underbelly culture.
  21. More police are not going to stop kids stabbing other kids. This an issue that runs much deeper than that.
  22. But what does it matter? He's gone and Valery is far from a weak link. Stephens is adequate RB cover, and JWP right wing back. The ongoing post mortem ain't gonna bring him back.
  23. I have spelled it out - the inference from your comments were clear. Why not just be honest and say what it's clear that you meant, IE that you hope that an ISIS survivor either kills her or harms her, rather than your pathetic attempt to back pedal?
  24. No need pal, others have cottoned onto the fact that you're squirming. I'm quite happy to watch you keep digging.
  25. It's worth remembering that many young full backs are converted attackers/wingers who have a natural (and coached) attacking instinct, and then learn the art of defending. Valery is an out and out defender who played a bit at CB and mostly RB as a youth. He then played RB as an under 23, and always in a back 4. He's been pushed into Premier league football at a young age and not only had to adapt to the pace and skill of the league, he's had to learn a new position which involves attacking which is a whole new skill. The fact that he's held his own is bloody impressive and people should judge him on how he's developed in such a short period of time, and remember that he's not a seasoned wing back.
