Keep it at 3. Neither Klopp nor Pep used the 3 x subs which makes a mockery of their call for 5. They also have good squads. Neco Williams or Milner could have played RB ahead of TAA. Klopp could have rested one of his usual front 3 and played Jota, but instead he played all 4 of them. Managers need to manage their resources better.

Del, picking up on the comment on the other thread. The point for me is that we're £120m more expensive than Derby. We're established. Spending the extra £120m on Derby may not get anything near as good as we are now. Personally I doubt £120m will get anything near what we have. I'd spend the extra on us if I had, unless I wanted a project to play with. On that last point, Derby have huge appeal. Good stadium, fanbase, and the ability to grow it. We're limited by geography. New fans can be drawn in from the east midlands and south yorkshire. Youngsters from Nottingham wanting something better than forest and county can offer may be converted. It'd be a great project with more potential, fan wise, than we can offer.

Yep, repetitive. Both loons. Both democratically elected. Otherwise completely different. I'm not sure what there is to discuss.
-
How the hell did that quote pop up on this thread?! I get that, but I'll pop it on the correct thread.
-
But to make a sensible comparison, there has to be broadly comparable and/or relevant context, otherwise its pointless. The only Trump / Hitler is that they were voted in. Beyond that there's as much relevance in comparing Trump to Hitler as there is comparing either to Dangermouse.
-
No idea what happened there!
-
So Trump’s fathers beliefs justify a Trump/Hitler comparison. I’m no Trump fan, but that’s a stretch.
-
I disagree that there is any point in mentioning in the same breath as Hitler. Completely different animals, and I'm not sure what you're trying to achieve by highlighting that they were both voted in. Nobody doubts that.
-
I know the history. Completely different times. Completely different countries. Completely different ethnic mixes. Completely different democratic systems. Completely different behaviour when in power. Otherwise, exactly the same.
-
I appreciate the new rule. I doubt any footballer, coach, or sensible fan would agree with it though. Do you think that the Haller decision was correct?
-
You're off on this. DT was elected democratically, nothing to discuss. Hitler comparison is daft.

Making nothing up mate, just applying common sense, give it a try. As Bamford says, you can't score with your arm, so don't use it in an offside decision. His legs/bidy/head were behind the play. Onside all day long.

Not sure i understand. Someone could buy us as is. They could do a Gao and not put their hand in their pocket. If you buy Derby, you need to put money in to chase promotion, and then more money to have a chance of staying there. Much more chance of a newly promoted club getting relegated than us with our current squad.
-
Yep, both felt to be the wrong decision. Haller was offside and interfering, whereas Bamford was behind the play and not offside for me.

Interesting debate. We have a value as an established Premier league club with a premier league squad, but with the wage and other commitments to go with it. Of course Derby would be cheaper, it's a championship club with the players to go with it. Someone could buy Derby, spend tens of millions and never get promoted, or get promotion and then £100m+ and get relegated. It's a gamble, and hardly a great investment. The truth is that it's impossible to know whether Derby could get to where we are, and if so what it would cost. Personally, I'd see paying £180m for us as a better option than £60m on a project / gamble.

Ramsay is a CB who can play RB. Not sure re Obafemi.
-
Ditto.
-
Playing wise he's done well. He was holding his groin and for a while not moving too well. Looks fine now.
-
Djenepo looks to be struggling a bit.
-
That's the spirit. We'll be fine.
-
I thought we'd have Johnson or Ferry on the bench.
-
He's not unwilling. He's unable.
-
We'll agree to differ on the subject. It's obvious that there's an issue. The club telling us that a) takes us nowhere and b) limited information leads to more speculation. In keeping quiet the club are doing the right thing by the player. He's the important person in this, not you.
