Yes, you are more or less correct on that one. Mind you, those mongy fans will not own up to their part in their folly and have even attempted to re-write history or conveniently sweep the whole episode under the carpet !
-
This is starting to rank alongside 'the reason why we did not re-appoint Glenn Hoddle and condemned ourselves to relegation' conspiracy.
-
I think we should sign Finbarr Saunders, ideal with Bellend
-
I got the last three absolutely right and think I will get the next as well. Saints defeat I am afraid.
-
\the other benefit is that it keeps us well above the scrapping zone. We should be fine for lower mid table finish, when things start to go wrong.
-
We have a real test coming up with the fourth of the 'sensational' seven.
-
In the Premiership, survival would be success ! Can't work out what you are talking about !
-
Oh dear, please read the threads all the way through and something might occur to you !
-
One thing is for sure, we will need about £50million to replace the entire team. Preferably before the and of May.
-
Success would be stayng in the premiership, even if that meant finishing 4th from bottom every year ! Just like the good old days !
-
So you were one of those responsible for our descent into League 1. Nice one, at least you admit it.
-
Hey, we had the chance in 2004 but chose to opt for an untried at prem level League 1 manager ! Still, the vocal few knew what was best for the club didn't they ?
-
f we had really wanted him, we would have paid another 1 or 2 million for him in the summer.
-
Agreed, t started when we failed to appoint Hoddle in 2004.
-
We almost certainly will drop away. I see us getting only two points from the next four games. Still, we might still be n the playoff zone or worse just outside it. Having said that, by Christmas i see us a being a very solid mid table team, slipping down gently to about 17th by the end of a very comfortable season for a newly promoted team that made a modest investment during the summer.
-
Actually said we would finish a comfortable 17th. Meaning, and have said it many times, we would slide downwards and not have to scramble upwards and therefore not be in a relegation scrap. Other than that, yes, we will finish about 17th
-
Not the point of the thread....season is only 10 games in. What happens f we lose lambert or another through injury ?
-
Same to you with two brass knobs on !
-
Nigel Adkins spent the summer chasing a striker ? my arse ! He barely broke into zimmer framed shuffle. If we had shown any intent or ambition we would have landed an A1 striker and a CB as well ! So far we have got away with it, but we won't for the whole season and it will cost us any chance of promotion. Mark my words !

can't believe you can be so negative about St. Mary's. After so many years at the Dell, so many years of wanting to get out of that ground, I am more than happy to be at SMS. Yes, it needs a bit of a spruce up but it's a hell of a lot better than what we used to have !
-
Revenge is sweetest when it is eaten cold.....our time will come but we need to be patient.
-
You would think so, however, no need to rush things at the moment.
-
Um Pahars, best views on this thread. Sums it up with perfection.
-
Next four games will be a big test I stand by my predictions but think I f i get one wrong it will be Reading in that we might sneak a draw against. Still, if we pick up a couple of points we should still be in the top six...just , which is pretty good !

Spot on post. I was constantly told throughout the summer that i was wrong about our lack of signings from May right up to the very last hour of the very last day of the transfer window. 'Not a bean' I said and was absolutely correct.
