He was when he was playing. He's not anymore.

With Cork to come back and Ramirez to fit in, I can see 2 of JWP, Cork and Davis being midfield options on the bench so should have more balance soon. I can see the rationale behind calling for Chaplow from an energy perspective but he can't be trusted in the middle...to rash and not enough composure. I know some people are saying that we was good against Utd last time in the cup but that was 2 years ago and the Utd side wasn't anyway near as strong as yesterday.
-
Ridiculous comment IMO, why do we always seem to make sweeping judegments on players having only seen them for a few minutes?
-
Easy to say now that Chaplow would have come off the bench and made a positive difference yesterday but he could just as easily played right into Utd hands with his poor touch and passing. He's not playing because he isn't is very good player at this level.

This. If we did the basics right, no one would be mentioning the subs.
-
The good old annual MLT vs. NC debate. Both have got conflicting interests at the moment but ultimately, none of it really matters
-
Morgan was immense and gets the nod from me. JWP, Lallana and Punch were also outstanding
-
Why don't we all start a thread each about how we feel tonight?
-
It's only really on this place that you'll see the weirdos come out in force. We played bloody well, our midfield looks superb, we're creating and scoring. Have to defend better and if we do, we'll have a good season IMO
-
Yea, about 3 from memory... Evra header, kagawa shot and 1 from RVP I think
-
Almost exactly this although the three subs didn't mean that Fonte had to slice and ball and leave his man.
-
People need to remember this. They won't though. Loads of teams start poorly points wise but go on to be fine. I've seen enough to feel like we're be ok if we keep playing our way. Not a time to bottle it now.
-
Crawl back into your cave. Individual errors cost us the game more than anything else. Adkins will make mistakes like anyone else but ultimately we're playing well and and will wins games in this league.
-
Why doesn't fox ever ****ing close down? Hardly ever gets anywhere near a player to stop a cross. It's not ****ing rocket science. Should have looked to shore up the defence more but we are where we are now. As a unit we're fine, teams aren't walking through us, need to stop making stupid ****ing individual error's. They cost us all three goals more than anything else
-
Only 3 games FFS, not worth even looking at the table now
-
I completely agree, probably wouldn't appeal to the masses though.
-
Guess it's not just saints they are ill informed on though, plenty of others but they do have their favourites for sure. They have **** all to do during the week, you'd think they would stay informed about European football at least in the build up to Saturday. Not just read Saturdays edition of the Sun and rely on what Stelling tells them. Have some pride in your profession FFS
-
Yea, just inconsistent and most have been shown to be fairly clueless on plenty of occasions. They were generally mocking our signings, focusing on Nationality of them. MLT the only one who could comment on them as players. We'll be told off soon by someone on here for claiming that the media have an agenda.

Jesus, some pretty negative tosh being spouted by the sky panel just now when talking about Saints/Man Utd. No mention if Gaston as a player, mostly about his price as well and empty seats against Wigan and the Echo ban....very weird.
-
We can't get loans FFS. It's only been said about 1000 times already on here. Only the football league have a loan window
-
That's right, only signing players we've all heard of is the right transfer policy to adopt. I remember screaming out for us to sign Marian Pahars from the Latvian League for years before we actually did.

Billy Sharp - Joins Notts Forest on Season Long Loan
Dig Dig replied to Saint Garrett's topic in The Saints
Sharp has said on Twitter this morning that the move had nothing to do with him wanting to go back up North... He said he was "perfectly settled" down here. So another myth which can stopped being peddled as he never had a problem coming down here in the first place. He's gone for footballing reasons, nothing more. Hope he does well for them and will be following how he gets on there closely -
He's not just an Olympic International, he has 17 full caps
-
Pretty much sums it up for me. I think Rodriguez will be good as a centre forward, needs games and a goal there though in order to kick on
-
This has to be one of your more stupid posts for sure. So it's a fact whether or not a player is good enough for the premier league? Nothing changes? It has nothing to do with player confidence, fitness/injury, formations, positions, the manager etc etc etc?? If we were to sell Lambert, it would be a fact that we don't deem him good enough for the prem? Or maybe that he just doesn't fit into the new system, a bit like Billy?
