  1. Lambert Harding and a batch of players in third (kelvin, Antonio, lallana, morgan, jaidi) most improved player is a toss up between Adam and morgan, but i'd give it to Morgan. - simply because he's added so many different parts to his game that he didn't have last year, he's no longer your poncy midfielder - he's gritty and loves a tackle. He also very rarely gives the ball away and is often intelligent with his passing, he now knows when to play it short - or to play it long. can only see him getting better too.
  2. He also said at the end of the interview that rather than going back to Liverpool, he'll spend the summer down here having a good look around the area as he hasn't managed to do that yet. stop worrying about losing him!
  3. I think going up next season may work out better in the long run, i expect us to go up automatically, hopefully by winning the league - teams that do that often propel into the championship and carry on their form (we could end up with 2 seasons of winning most weeks under our belts) but the bonus with us is that we'll end up adding to our team with even more quality (i can sense the ambition is to see us as the best in that league too) - so without sounding too demanding, I'd expect us to go straight into a championship promotion hunt.
  4. they've had the training rooms totally renovated, but that was done a while ago i think. i keep hearing rumours of electronic turnstiles being installed over the summer, not sure though.
  5. did ok, nothing spectacular. Looked a little nervous with his first few touches, but after that he settled, and seemed keen to get on the ball and was going to look for it - which is always a good sign. good to see players like him given a chance.
  6. lol the big south-coast derby it is then, bet the police are quaking in their boots. oh.
  7. Good win, we kind of played in fits and starts - some really really good spells and some sloppy parts to the game. First half we looked a little slow, although it wasn't as bad as Oldham - we had a threat and through Antonio we had a player that actually scared the opposition, you could see them back off him every time he got hold of the ball, his close-control and manipulation of the ball is getting much better, so combine that with pace and strength...he can scare the living daylights out of full backs next season. I thought going in at 1-0 would have been fair, but obviously that wasn't going to happen. Said to the guy next to me, giving away a free kick in that position (although it was very dubious to say the least) was like giving away a penalty, Ian Harte will rarely throw up an opportunity like that. 1-1 it was then. 2nd half we played with much more purpose and much more intensity, which saw Rickie get us back in front within a min - that set the tone for the 2nd half really, and we really did take the micky out of them at times - with Antonio running at them, Papa on the other side and Lambo winning everything in the air - i honestly thought it could have been another 4/5-1 score line. We ended the game sloppy though and i kind of felt we let them off the hook as we could have given them a good thrashing today. Their 2nd goal took the shine off it slightly and was seriously shocking defending, but we won whilst battering them at times - and that's all that matters. my MOTM was Antonio, although Papa caused havoc, albeit in his usual erratic style! Hope we can sign both of them tbh, i can see next season being alot of fun having those 2 as options in our attack.

white lost his way after his serious injuries, he struggled to make any sort of mark at Easteligh so i can't imagine him having a future here as he's over 20 now. (i think) shame really, he always had potential in the U18's but was just dogged by one too many injuries. one player that has come on leeps and bounds this year though is Aaron Racine, a CB who's been a mainstay in the reserves this year. I think he's only 18, but very highly rated. (another one who's been held back by injuries in recent years)
  9. Jaidi has another year to run i think? can't imagine him playing too much next season anyway, he struggles to play 2 games in a week atm! cracking player to have in the squad though.
  10. ''I think it's a disgrace! If we were to agree a CVA and come out of administration before the set-up deadline, we would have won our european place fair and square. But I agree its all about politics as liverpool could miss out and the fact that pompey being in europe would be an embarrasment to premier league brand! I think it devalutes the spirit of the FA Cup.'' oh good - still as deluded as ever. won your European place fair and square? you mean by paying 800k for O'hara and Quincy in january, who contributed to getting you through against us, when you couldn't pay local businesses? yep, totally fair and square. ****ing dicks ''Money has taken over the game, instead of the game running the game. Well done sky sports, well done andy gray, well done ****ing sepp blatter your all ****e!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!'' christ...they're a fine bunch to talk.
  11. almost as much of a shambles as their current debts. he's an utter fool, can see why swindon fans hate him so much.
  12. Grab the file - svchost.exe from an unaffected PC and copy that back onto the system32 dir of the screwed system. That's bassicaly what the DAT update screws, it thinks svchost is a virus, so it deletes it (or zeros it) - thus losing (some) exporer and dcom functionality. reboot and quickly install the new DAT (if you leave it too long, it deletes svchost again) link to a nice working DAT - http://majorgeeks.com/download4425.html?2010-04-21 It's an odd one, seems to affect PC's in different ways. Some lose all network connectivity and taskbar/start menu, whilst others just loop and even some have BSOD's. hope mcafee hang someone for this!
  13. http://www.saintsfc.co.uk/page/NewsDetail/0,,10280~2031405,00.html what on earth? why are those comments coming from a ''Club spokesperson'' ? why do they still believe we can do it? Hudds need 3 points from a possible 9, are they all of a sudden going to become relegation fodder? If huddersifled slip up on sat. it will make me feel sick because you'll know what a change we've missed. if we had won our game in hand we would have still be in there, albeit a long shot - but we didn't, so i don't see why they are still trying to build this up, it will only equal more disapointment. the only thing i can see is that they're trying to keep the crowd numbers up for the last 2 home games.

not many clubs put in bids for beckford, they've all waited until he's out of contract. for anyone outside the prem, rickie/beckford cost too much in transfer fees and wages. Prem clubs at the moment would probably look a bit silly shelling out 2.5-3m on rickie, when he's never played above the third teir and is 28. i can see him here for a long long time.
  16. +1, suprised me actually. they kept the ball at the back and played it along - also a massive suprise to see Davis just pass the ball out, or throw it to a full back. there was some hoofing, but that came from CM most of the time with Wotton not really sure what else to do. But you're right, the CB's tried to play the ball around the back - which actually becoame a bit frustrating at times.
  17. 1st or 2nd, anything else will be a massive disapointment either way you look at it. i expect us to be challenging for the top 2 all season - if we're scuffling around in the playoff places all season (like huddersfield this season for e.g.) then Pardew will be gone very quickly. the expectation next year will be massive, possibly bigger than our 6th placed season in the championship. We will be favourites above any of the relegated sides in the bookies, media ad fans views. That in it's self is a different kind of pressure. Will be interesting to see how we respond to it.
  18. our results since january haev been as consistant as anyone in the league, it's the -10 and the first 10 games that have stopped a promotion challenge. since october we've been very consistant, a couple of sloppy results here and there - but they happen, on the whole we've been fine, but our position is blured by our start and the -10.
  19. Of course Pardew rates him, he has been a big success here so far and has already got 9 goals for us. He was subbed last night because he was blowing on empty, we needed to try a bit more pace through the middle to open them up with Papa. The thing about having a squad is being able to rotate it, very few players last the full match and play in every game.
  20. he's injured and out for the season i think
  21. tbf it's over, if stockport do win on Saturday i will cry and so will the players, because they know what an opportunity they have missed. Hudd's need 3 more pts, they will do that with ease even if they lose on sat. the fact we didn't win tonight also means Colchester are still above us, so we're relying on 2 teams to screw up. it really is time to forget the playoffs now.
  22. doubt they'll get relegated. It will be a low total to survive this year due to the utter crap that's in the league. burnley and hull are generally ****, and will struggle to get many more points. west ham only need 1 more win, and they have wigan at home next.
  23. listen to the link provided above and form your own opinion for once.
  24. listening to that, it seems that people are over-reacting again. What exactly has he said that's wrong? doesn't really come across as rude or abrupt to me either.
  25. I don't think James is that bad, but you can't really say he had a good time tonight tbh. he seemed very reluctant to challenge, and his passing 90% of the time was wayward. As you said - i expect this to be down to him carrying an injury of sorts, will be interesting to see how he is after a full pre-season.
