  1. This is starting to sound really dodgy. At the end of the day, if the interested party has the funds a deal is usually completed pretty swiftly with little headache. We should be well educated in that. Falkia and co faffed around for over 4 weeks and couldn't come up with the goods. Markus and his people then become involved and it was swift, professional and done correctly. - when people have the money, things happen.
  2. they really are a deluded clueless bunch. i'm sure sasha asked him to take a 10% cut on all transfers too.
  3. he's jumping ship, clearly doesn't want to be known to be involved with them anymore - which seems to have been initiated by reading the SOA (which i guess actually does demonstrate that they are insolvent) Skates seem to think this is a good thing, as it means the takeover will now go through....not sure i get their logic, if anything this sounds more alarm bells as to the future of this club.
  4. It will be a test, but if we play anything like we have in the last 3 games, then really...wycome will struggle.
  5. More classics from Storrie ''"The assets of this club are its players, their value in the transfer market, and there are some players whom we would value very highly. There is then the potential for 100,000 square foot of supermarket. You can imagine what that would be worth."''
  6. brilliant...
  7. It's going to be very tough, i'm not really focusing on the playoffs tbh - if we do make it, it will need to be a record breaking run of form from us. I'm just going to enjoy the rest of the season - it's nice to be able to kind of relax as a fan going into a run-in.
  8. Tomorrow could be an interesting day, whatever happens!
  9. If we play with the intensity that we have in the last 4 matches, then we'll have too much for Wycombe and the score could be anything we want. In the last couple of weeks we've started to regain that quality and 'punch' (exsue the pun ) that we have lacked since October through to December. According to Pard's comments, if the team won on Saturday (which it did!) - then it will stay the same for the next game.
  10. the noises coming out of their forums at the moment, is that they're saved. announcement tomorrow apparently and the nutters who are taking them over will be investing substantial funds. (it's the south African consortium) if it's true, i don't get it, i really don't. Why do you spunk away the best part of £100m just to get Portsmouth stable? you'd then need to spend another 50-100m to have a competitive team and an infrastructure (i.e training ground) further up the country we have newcastle...massive club, 10x the size portsmouth will ever be, infrastructure is all there - available for about 60-70m. i can't get my head around what kind of nutter would even think of taking them over, let alone invest funds into it. jesus.
  11. we'll be able to sing both next year
  12. well exactly, more money than sense if that happens - which is why i'm a bit skeptical of it all, i assume the skates feel the same too. Wasn't Al-Mirage supposed to be redeveloping the stadium and training ground too? He was going to take them to a level that they wouldn't believe, which i guess he has done - just not the level they assumed.
  13. I've got a feeling that this will go through and keep them going for the short-term - but i wonder if this deal is the best for their long-term future? or if it's someone else who will eventually just sell up again? According to reports though, this consortium has ''substantial wealth'' and aims to re-start the stadium project and training ground - but where have we heard that before? we'll find out next week i guess.
  14. on another note - same program, but even worse - did you hear kammys rant on why the PL should help them out? ''if they needed the money, they should have sold their players in january'' - said Reid, fair point. so kammy replies with ''well they were hopeful of getting a takeover in january, it's not their fault it didn't go through - they now need the money desperately'' good argument!
  15. It is - pard's said so himself. ''i will play my best 11 players on Saturday, they know who they are - i've told them the team''
  16. Interesting, just saw this post pop up from a sunderland fun on another forum ''Pompey to go to FIFA about restriction of trade to sell Mark Wilson to Sunderland NOW According to Tom Hopkinson, Sunday people sports reoprter on Five Live just there!! Why do we want him (if true!!)??'' so if they are to be saved - why are they still frantically trying to sell players? it's a bizzare situation. although tbf they could do worse than to sell wilson.
  17. it's slightly better than that... 4 defeats in the last 30 games (all competitions) what a record...
  18. ''To Any Saints Fans Reading..... Hats off to you. By far the best team I believe we have played this season. Regardless of the idiot ref, you deserved your win, and good luck next season, you play some great football. ''
  19. Sounded from the radio that he got forward well and used his pace. Some of the norwich forums are having to even admit that he was good for us...
  20. i guess he means that players don't know each other as well - so there's less ''personal'' banter as such. That will come though and i'm sure they'll make a great team.
  21. there is a problem with all of his theory's nick - just ignore him, he's a pointless WUM.
  22. lambert did a great job today didn't he. seriously, some people...
  23. ...+1 they're relegated, but i fear that's as bad as it'll get for them.
  24. FT - and they're now all but down.
  25. get the **** in stoke!!! diao you legend
