woffle imo you don't spend 10k p/w on 1 player in L1 if you're being ''shackled''

By all accounts, it doesn't look like they're just affording them, they're increasing them. Nutters -
Apparently they're in for Benjani too

300k for greg, but the fees for McG and Surman don't count. those deals were agreed with the administrators and went towards paying the creditors/staff wages. Those deals were never going to be reinvested - they were just to tide us over. -

We've spent around 1.6m (1.1m for Rickie/ 450k for Hammond, loan fees for Trotman and Mellis) - which is a big amount in L1 Not many championship clubs can even spend that amount tbf, so all this shouting about him not showing intent is aload of rubbish. -
From Joe, via text on 81111: "Big rumour in Nottingham that Sven-Goran Eriksson has convinced Henrik Larsson to join Notts County!"
 -
If it is for money, seeing as he's already on near on 10k p/w here, Notts County are heading for disaster if they're offering him alot more. I cannot believe the wages they are dishing out in L2, they are swinging with the future of that club. It's fair enough spending those wages top end of the champ, or in the prem - but surely there's no justification in L2? Makes a farce of that ''supposed'' wage cap too.

He's a moron IMO. All this fuss about him having to move so he can keep his international career, ''i cannot be playing L1 football.' Load of tosh as usual, good riddance if it's true - thought he had a bit more about him. -

he really wants to improve his international chances doesn't he... -
afaik the work permit request has been submitted

according to some spurs forums, it's £4m combined for Niko and David James. There will be no one left from the cup final squad....what a shame.
 -
reported fee - £2.5m !!! that is an utter snip.
 -
Sky Sports Sources understand Tottenham are closing in on the signing of Portsmouth star Niko Kranjcar. not sure they'd need both Niko and Morgan tbf... (lol @ portsmouth too)
 -
They've signed n'guessan, Gallagher and also have Lloyd Dyer all ahead of him. He wasn't ''first choice'' as such for them last year, he was very much used as an impact player who made alot of sub apps - and did v v well for it too. Hope we can pull it off.
 -
David Mooney possibly, someone i heard mentioned weeks and weeks ago when Pards first came here. It's possible that we spoke to Reading about a couple of their strikers, when they were after Greg. Would make sense anyway. Mooney was on loan at Norwich back end of last year, scored a few goals iirc.

it's quite a well paid one working in IT, that's how sure i am
 -
3 max. CB / Striker / Winger Murty injury isn't apparently as bad as first feared, looking at weeks apparently. (was on solent last week) Even if we do just sign 1 more, we will not be in a relegation fight come may. I'll happily bet my job on it.
 -
Don't be disheartened just because we've heard nothing today. Hardly anything has happened today at all for anyone in the world, just speculation pretty much. Remember as well - we've only heard about our players when they've pretty much almost signed, the club has so far kept all potential signings well under wraps until the day it's announced - so that will not change. Tomorrow will be one of the busiest last days for a long time IMO - and i'm sure we'll be involved in it.
 -
The only obvious thing which needs changing is adding pace and width. Our counter attacks are embarrassing, as they usually result in us stopping half way, slowing the play down, and waiting for the rest of the team to catch up. If we had a striker with pace to play on the shoulder, just in front of Lambert, and a right attacking winger with raw pace, we could have alot of fun on the break - and i turn, i believe the team would look much more balanced. We don't have a real attacking outlet at the moment, other than hoofing it to lambert, or letting Adam dally on the ball. - we need more ''unexpected'' options, something to surprise the oppo - we're all too predictable. I really hope we get some pace in tomorrow...i'm sure pard's knows it, infact i'm certain he's trying.
 -
no we wouldn't. why do people say this? i don't understand... Mcgoldrick/Surman/BWP would be too good for L2, the problem last year was mismanagement, not a lack of player ability. I still wished we'd have kept Mcolgrick, as he would have been a brilliant player at this level.
 -
i think it's sad that the mid-set of everyone this year is to either avoid relegation, or expecting us to go down. I can kind of understand why in way, as all we've had for the past few years is relegation battles, but we 'shouldn't be anywhere near relegation by the end of this season IMO. If we did go down, the damage of a 2nd successive relegation could be impossible to repair, i think that would actually confirm us as a lower league team for a long time. - i can guarantee we'd have a new manager and another new set of players, who will again take time to adjust to a new level etc etc etc. FWIW i can see us comfortably mid-table, we've left it too late to mount any playoff push but i expect a strong end to the season where our team (which is better than 90% in this league) actually starts winning games on a regular basis. I expect us to then kick on next season and win the damn thing, the expectation should be nothing less.

Balanta is a pacey/strong forward, very young though - 18/19 i think. was on loan in L2 at Wycombe last season and scored a few goals.
