Don't forget Brighton at home either, the first half was utter dross and an example of what has been served up at home all too often.
-
I assume you're still tweaking stuff Steve? It was fine Sunday/Monday, but today it has been absolutely unusable for me. Sometimes it will fly to life again, but then when i go to reply to a post it'll just sit there. I hope this isn't by design...!

I don't agree with that at all. I think most of us have been fairly fair over our assessments of him, he is honestly nothing special and I have always maintained that - not just because he's now leaving. Bog standard is how I'd describe him, offers nothing more than Tottenham's midfielders currently do. As igsey put above so well, in isolation his stats look impressive. But I know what I've seen for the last 4 years. I've seen the most dull, boring, safe midfield player. Someone who gives up possession just as much as he wins it, someone who waves his arms about and shows passion, but never really did the talking on the pitch. I'll remember someone who shows no composure in the final moments of games. I'll remember someone who makes you nervous rather than excited by his presence. I'll remember him as someone who was a pivotal part to our horrific, unacceptable home form for the last 3/4 seasons. Luckily other managers see a gap in their side for him and are willing to buy him, as this will enable us to buy someone far more dynamic to improve our style at home.
-
But we then gave him another new contract, a year after his original one - after he'd had a very substandard year. Absolutely moronic from Reed.
-
You're not wrong, I've never really rated him that highly to be honest. He's what I'd call a bog standard mid-table PL midfielder, no more than that. I just feel he lacks that real 'star' quality that other 'defectors' have had. I don't rate him as high as Morgan for example, not even as close to being as technical or mobile as him, and Morgan struggled at Utd and Everton. I think Spurs already have better players than him, that's why I'm curious as to their hunt for him. Lo Celso, Winks, Nndomble, Sissoko, Gedson Fernandes - all seem to offer what PEH does, but slightly better technically. I don't think we're missing anything, I just don't think he's half as good as the media make him out to be.

Can someone please do us all a massive favour and ban MLG? Or at least remove his sub? Absolute pedantic WUM.
-
He has been pivotal in our games since the return, filling in a role that Hoj isn't able to do. He looks fitter and more mobile than he did, maybe this is what he was lacking prior lockdown. I certainly wouldn't class him as our backup at the moment though, one of our first names given the role and job he fulfils.
-
If Hoj wants Spurs then our hands are tied, we have to hold our nerve and wait for them to offer near what we want.
-
They have their eyes on any player with two legs.
-
AC Milan were in talks for Matty Cash in January, but couldn't agree a fee. Clearly has some big admirers all over the continent and Forest fans love him.
-
I thought that was a decent final tbh. Arsenal sure as hell do have their name on that Trophy most seasons, they have a habit of winning it. As an aside, unlucky for Wolves who have no European football now. (Unless they win the EL of course!)
-
You're as suspicious as me about this guy then...!
-
Absolutely not. That would be a waste of wages really. The club got it wrong in the sense of not replacing him when they sold him, but I think they sold him at the right point.
-
You'd think he was our best player going by all this clamour. He's not. Ings, JWP, Bertrand all much more influential and better than him in our side. I imagine the club don't want this to drag on, but Levy being Levy will ensure he drives the hard bargain.
-
Sounds like there is a genuine interest in him, but if it happens is a bit uncertain.
-
Not another 'Boufal can come good' theme! He can't, he's not suited to this league full stop. Should never have bought him, I expect he'll return to a league with much slower pace.
-
It was pretty solid yesterday, it's been unusable today though.

The Sunday Times - Southampton put up for sale at £250m
S-Clarke replied to The Odd Guy's topic in The Saints
Now who is going to buy Coutinho and Hulk?? They were all set to be the next Man City! Never mind....Mike Ashley actually keeps the £17m deposit they made as well, so he's financially laughing whilst the club will continue to languish. -
Chelsea were sniffing as well at the time, not sure if they still are. Their priority at the mo seems to be a new number 1 and Forster is certainly not going to be that!
-
West ham want to buy everyone, but then end up buying no one - or last ditch efforts to appease fans.
-
Send him to Portsmouth, although he'd struggle at that level too I imagine. We certainly didn't 'study' the 'personality' of this guy when we signed him did we? Another Ross special.
-
He's 36?? Jeez. That pretty much rules us out of that one! Let everton sweep up these hasbeens.
