  1. He needs to stop giving the ball away. That's one thing he's always managed to do well. There's obviously talent there - somewhere - but he needs to show it. At the moment he's just a walking soundbite for the fans to lap up.
  2. Bit of a non-event really. No idea what we were trying to do in the first half, that was a very painful watch. 2nd half we were forced to come forward due to the early goal, so that made us look a bit better. No complaints though, pretty straight forward win for Chelsea. They didn't really have to break sweat. Another very limp and meak performance by our pathetic bunch of men. No leaders out there, not a single one.
  3. wtf? We have to win the next 3 in a row. We cannot draw another game. It is probably 90% already over, but to have people still saying we can get away with a 'point' is just daft.
  4. Spurs really should have won something with that team they had. I say 'Had' because it's plain to see that it's getting broken up come the summer. Wasted chances over the last couple of years.
  5. He almost got relegated with Nice iirc. He's sucked the life out of Leicester, just like he sucked the life out of us.
  6. Pleased for him, another poor buy by us though. Not suited for this league at all really. Another example that we tried to build a Barcelona-lite team with small/tricky/passing players. We'd probably do alright in La Liga.
  7. Most Leicester fans have had it with him. Can't blame them, absolutly dire manager.
  8. It's obvious to us all, which is why it's all so frustrating. Pace and power in this league is what gets you results, being able to get in behind and pull on the high lines operated by certain sides in this league. We have zero of either really, lots of nice passers, but no one with any ability to get in behind or down the sides which is why you often find us going backwards. That's not a fault of Hughes but the fault of the recruitment over the last 2 years - and you also have to question how much of an influence MP and Puel had, as anyone with a brain could surely work out that we needed pace. Put it this way, the only thing keeping us remotely competitive was someone like VVD at the back – quality player. So work this out, we sell him for £75m, don’t replace him and also don’t buy any attacking pace. It really is beyond parody.

Must have missed that, what's Gabbi done?
  10. Standard Redmond, that's his game. He never takes people on. Non-player.

I certainly don't think we'll see Boufal again, absolutley not the sort of player needed for this situation. Carrillo? No ****ing idea. What a true cluster**** he was. Seriously, wtf.
  12. Well they are still aiming for Europe remember.
  13. Funnilly enough, it was the 0-0 at home to Stoke. An equally tepid affair. Which amazingly MP was still in charge of.
  14. Yeah, sorry. He's one of these players with fake pace! His pace is really a myth....he stops with the ball well though.
  15. It's a sad state of affairs when your only pacey options are Long and Redmond. When you look at it like that it's no surprise what's happened.
  16. The genuine reason as to why we have been relegated has been the constant ‘silent’ downgrading of our team, replacing with rubbish and going for cheap/clever managerial appointments. Puel, MP, both absolute garbage. Ross and Les hang your heads in shame.

The attacking side of this team since Mane and Pelle left has been absolutely shambolic. Then we have picked away at the defence so that became equally as shambolic. He's not got much to work with, individual quality maybe, but a bit of a mish mash of players. The recruitment team have absolutely failed this club to lumber us with one of the most unbalanced and confusing squads I can ever remember. Hughes would have stayed on if we stayed up and the only reason I'd keep him is if he had got us going on a genuine run. He hasn't and doesn't look likely, so a change at the end is probably best - for everyone. Mass changes required at all levels too. No one who is employed by the club should be immune from getting canned.
  18. Stranger things have happend. Would at least give us something to look forward to at the end of the season.
  19. Our run in doesn't include West Brom though, we obviously can't beat anyone else. This result tonight will give everyone above us a huge kick as well, this has pretty much done and dusted the bottom 3.
  20. It's over, seriously. Don't ware yourself out trying to work out the chances. It's done. The slim hope was winning the next 4. We haven't, therefore we still have only 1 one game since November. Not a cats hell chance of us winning the next 3.
  21. All over now.
  22. That really is all over now. Done and dusted. Not even a proper fight, waste of time.
  23. Well that was rubbish.
  24. Don't think so, not sure he's that sort. More of a box to boxer. I don't think we've ever had a decent number 10, always a gap in our side. Made up in recent years because of the pace of Mane etc.
  25. Yeah I thought as much. Can't say I'm bothered, doesn't strike me as the sort of player you need when the going gets tough. Another failed attempt at signing a 'number 10' for us!
