  1. So, he's pretty much achieved what he aimed to do (going by the comments on this thread, as I haven't read it either)
  2. They were probably planning on a buy 1 get one free deal with us, but we've thrown their plans in the water a bit. And i'm bloody pleased we stood up to it. I think we'd look incredibly weak to sell to Liverpool now, in whatever circumstances. Can't see any deals happening between the clubs for a while, it needs to cool down a bit.
  3. We got our striking options sorted in January, now if anything we're probably slightly bloated in that area. I can see one going - most likley to be Jay. Then we'll introduce Sam to the fold and he'll give us something different. Gallagher, Austin, Long, Gabbiadini - there are goals in that 4. Plus Redmond, Tadic. As other's have mentioned, the issue is getting an AMC type to link it all together. That's where I'd spend the budget if we kept everyone and just had to make improvements.
  4. They signed that new LB/WB from Schalke, pretty sure they're covered. Spurs are also covered with Rose and Davies. Only clubs with genuine needs for a LB are Liverpool and City, so if he goes it'll be to one of those I'd have thought. So unless something happens with Rose at Spurs, I cannot see him getting a place at a 'Top' london club.
  5. Two of their best players were loans from A.Madrid and Barca i think. The guy from Atletico Madrid (Theo Hernandez poss) has already completed a move to Real. Although who knows, he may be available for a loan from them now... the guy they had from Real is a DM I think. A good shout could be this guy - Víctor Camarasa. They had him on loan from Levante, i'm sure I've seen us linked with him before....he's an attacking central midfielder, 23 years old.
  6. He'll still be £25m or so though, plus he would want wages that far exceed our wage cap. Don't think we're able to spend that sort of level until we sell - just a hunch.
  7. Hope this is more VVD than Forren/Gardos! Don't know a thing about him. He's not even in my FM game FFS. Reed out.
  8. I'd be stunned if we're about to shell up to 8m on an U21 player.....he's our new CB to fill the void left by Fonte/Cacares
  9. I think it's because he jumps around a lot and shows passion.
  10. Wouldn't expect Sammy Lee to come back, his time is done here. Would just expect Pellegrino's coaches from Alaves to follow.
  11. Watson's new role was head of goalkeepers, or something like that. He works with people like Vince and Ryan Flood across all the age groups, but he's still the primary first team goal keeping coach and match day technical coach (subs/instructions etc)
  12. I still have a horrible feeling that the club are happy to let Ryan go as they feel they already have the replacements at the club.
  13. I feel pretty positive about this one, I like his style and how adaptable he seems. At least the uncertainty is shelved so we can start to build towards the season and work out what we need/what we don't need.
  14. Liverpool people sound very, very confused and a bit lost in the whole thing. They do love playing the victim card though.
  15. Great, who let that moron back on here.
  16. Source?
  17. Reported in Marca now http://www.marca.com/futbol/premier-league/2017/06/22/594bd45322601d3f188b4581.html
  18. I feel quite positive about Pellegrino to be honest. He's a young coach, up and coming, very much in our style of how we like to do things. On paper it looks a good fit and it 'feels' right. It certainly feels a lot more 'right' than it did with Puel, for me that never felt correct from the outset. He never seemed a good fit. This guy seems perfect for what we're trying to do.
  19. 90% of clubs work that way to be honest, especially these days with the short-lived nature of mangers, it's kind of the most sensible way. Wouldn't read anything into that or be shocked by that. I'd be worried if we didn't work like that!
  20. Not against that at all. Clubs have done well in recent years looking at players in that league. Coleman, Long, Doyle + more I can't think of!
  21. I would at this stage be surprised if it's anyone other than Pellegrino. Just my hunch.
  22. Quite. Not sure what goes through peoples head before they post.
  23. I really get frustrated with football fans who just live off of media. If the media aren't reporting anything, it means we're not doing anything. If the media are reporting lots of names, it means we have no idea. How about people just take a breather, enjoy the sun, and let stuff you have no control over what so ever sort it's self out in it's own time? We have no idea what's going on, we don't know what stages things are at. There's nothing wrong with debating managers, who is a good fit etc, but the constant stamping of feet because you haven't heard anything is the sort of thing a 1 year old would do after their ice lolly melted. Absolute bunch of children.
  24. Also worth noting that a true ITK would not have all the little details as Jack Schitt seems to have. They'll get snippets, then decide to share them how they use. Going on full essay mode about what they know is a big indication that they've made it all up, along with the fact that everything he says is also in the public domain anyway.
  25. Jeez, he looks bloody good for a 17 year old.
