  1. Well, he will be dropped for the next game..! He bossed that first half for what it's worth, and did decent covering for a good portion of the 2nd half too. He played well.
  2. I think he's being given a role in the side to allow him to adapt to the league, slowly. He quite clearly went about what he was asked to do in that first half, did his jobs well (I think he's just being told to keep it simple). 2nd half, the entire team dropped off. He still covered decent ground, but lost his way as the half wore on.
  3. Whilst we were shocking in that 2nd half, I think you also have to look at how Bournemouth approached the game. They got it wrong in the first half, they played with Murray too isolated and they had no pace or guile to support him, so they sat deep and just invited us on time and time again. To our credit, we made the most of the space and produced some excellent deliveries for both goals. We had them for toast down their flanks on numerous occasions in that 1st half, and 2-0 was the least we deserved based on that showing. The 2nd half was a different game all together. The 2 subs bournemouth made changed the game, because straight away it joined their midfield and attack with pace and trickery (very similar to the 2 changes Leicester made against us). I think we were caught a little by surprise at their impact and their change of game plan, as we were so comfortable for the first 45 mins. So yes, whilst we were well below par in that 2nd half, Bournemouth at least made a game of it. Not sure what happened to Fonte? Assuming it was a precaution? That did unsettle us from the outset to be honest.
  4. He is such a bad loser it's painful to watch.
  5. Maybe Eva Caniero was the actual manager all this time? Or she made the chelsea lads feel a lot younger than they actually are.
  6. Utd will probably go through, but holy jesus, they look so ****. I hope they give all those fans a refund.
  7. errr, how was that a penalty.
  8. That is such a pointless table. I can categorically say that WHU will not get 80 points, and Chelsea will get a hell of a lot more than 40 points. I will pay £100 to a Charity if either one of those things happens. The thing with these stats is that they assume this is how the teams will perform all year, but it won't be like that.
  9. Fair enough, but there's not much else we can do is there? As I said, it's the best possible lineup we could put out tonight, all things considered. Is Pelle invisible or something? He is starting by the way.
  10. What's the problem with the team exactly? Mane is suspended, Bertrand, Clasie have just come back from long-term lay offs. Tadic over played last year, so makes sense to not start him tonight. Jay is injured and Soares has been in the wars the last few weeks......I don't see a problem, it's our best possible side with everything considered. Caulker and Yoshida need game time, if Virgil or Fonte get injured, one of them is thrown into the firing line.
  11. The competition is already opening up, get through tomorrow and I'll start to think about actually winning this thing.
  12. And then given the fact that it's also a cold, wet, windy night up in Stoke.
  13. Something has gone tits up there, look at pre-season and the way they couldn't get the targets they wanted, their **** pre-season results and then the physio-gate. Lots has gone on there behind the scenes.
  14. Chelsea look so broken. I've never seen Jose look so vulnerable before, he's seemingly a dead man walking. I can never in my life time remember a Mourinho team which surrenders most weeks as easily as this.
  15. He has been diabolical tonight. Seriously, what an utter moron who simply followed the $$$$$. Career has gone down the pan. Another Wenger masterclass.
  16. How I see it is just 2 posters, who were against his appointment at the start and were quite vocal throughout his campaign with us, just because they didn't like him and it wasn't the mega star manager they both wanted. However, they were proven so badly wrong that any chance now they have to potentially validate their opinions they jump on it.
  17. What, like Boruc who passed one into his net the other week? Or Federici who did the same yesterday? No one is denying that we have had poor GK options for the 4 years we've been here, but let's not make out that we're so far behind options wise from the likes of Bournemouth or Villa.
  18. I didn't feel we ever had control over that game tbh, even 2-0 in the first half was a tad flattering. The issue Leicester had was a lack of attacking threat in the first half, they were too isolated up front, but they changed that with their 2 subs in the 2nd half and that exploited our failings and changed the game. Ryan didn't look on his game at all, and Wanyama offered no protection for the majority of that game, he didn't play well at all. In essence, a draw is a good result as we could have so easily lost that game. They had the much better chances but thankfully didn't start with their attacking wide men as it could have been a different outcome if that was the case. Not entirely sure why we were so slow and lackadaisical, we just weren't on it at all to be honest. Oh well, let's do Liverpool next week.
  19. Lol ffs. That entire city is so deluded. My facebook timeline is full of stupid Liverpool fans now thinking they're going to push City for the title (I'm a member of that Sportsmania group, so I get a lot of that waffle!). Such an entirely deluded fan-base detached from modern reality. But hang on, don't you remember they won the league a few times in the 80's???
  20. People getting carried away again. Just as people got carried away in his few few weeks saying that he was ''non-league'' standard, people now saying he's one of the best players in the world is the opposite extreme to that. He's a very good player for us, very dangerous at this level. Let's stop it there.
  21. He lost Suarez, but failed to replace him, they dipped off by a mile in the league, even though he had over £100m to spend in that single window. Koeman lost Lovren, Lallana, Lambert, Chambers, Shaw in a single window and improved on our position in the league. Go figure. The media love-in with Rodgers is cringe, he's shown himself to be nothing but a bog-average manager who likes to talk tactics and sound more revolutionary than he actually is.
  22. Name the 'whoopsie's' he made in every game? Cheers.
  23. Pelle has been outstanding for us all season so far. Really impressive.
