Think we're ok at LB, not a massive urgency in my opinion. Don't forget that Clyne can play LB if required, and in emergencies so can Lovren or Jos (Not ideal, but it's not like we have no cover options at LB at all). There were much bigger priorities this summer.

You can be assured that NC would not spend to put this club into trouble, he has my full trust in looking after the club. If the deal wasn't right for the club, it wouldn't have been done. People on twitter are mentioning ''They're this seasons QPR'' ''the new Portsmouth'' - but it's totally and utterly different. For QPR for eg. they had a real scattergun approach to transfers, they signed anyone with legs - for lots of money - even though they were pretty average. All we've done is spent fair money in international class players to add to the spine (3 players). We've kept the majority of the squad as it was, tied down our best players to long term deals. If worse comes to worse, all of our players have HUGE sell on fee's.

Don't think we'll let Mayuka go, although Sharp is only a matter of time.

It was clear what City were doing when they decided to splash the $$$ on Rodwell and Sinclair. I don't think they had the intention of playing either regularly. It was just so they could keep the FA Happy with their English player allocation - I think they panicked.

As far as I know, it's relative to the clubs income. For a PL team, we'll have quite a modest income so will have a lower wage cap than the bigger sides. I think that's how it works anyway. Would also possibly explain why the next signing may just be a loan.

And actual technical ability.

Don't think Monk will be posting anymore.

What a transfer window. No complaints what so ever.

Appreciate all your info, you have been spot on. Have fun.

It's roughly around £15.75m

It did look pretty bad at time tbh, esp. how he went down. I just assume he simply doesn't want to play for the U21's

We're now buying players for more than the club cost. Crazy.

Wouldn't be my idea of comedy tbf.

But proven youth, is what I'm trying to get at. Compared to last year - Rodriguez, Mayuka, Gaston, Clyne - very much unproven young players, with huge potential. You'd have to say that Lovren and Wanyama are still young, but they're up a ''notch'' as they're proven players at the top level.

He's trying to get the scoop, when in fact he's days behind.

Hey, I'm actually a pretty good manager. I've got a good rep on that game.
-
He pretty much has. It's as official as it can be until it's on t he OS.
-
He knows what he's doing, and is surrounding himself with people who also know what they're doing. There is a plan and it's being executed to undoubted perfection. Money will help, but as we've seen with QPR - there needs to be a plan and a structure, otherwise you're throwing empty notes around. Our transfer policy can't really be bettered in terms of what we're trying to do. I posted this on another thread, but last year was all about young talent. This year is all about proven players. They're not in it to rush and bulldoze their way through it, they do it in their way in their own time and to their own structure. Whatever happens, this club is in one of it's best places in recent times.

To confirm how unrealistic this signing actually is, I can't even attract him to join us on FM FFS? Won't even enter talks.

Crook is just writing up the exclusive as we speak.

Perseverance always gets it in the end. If everyone gave up after a first refusal, there'd be a world full of single men.

It's a sticky. It's happening.

Well, those papers are clearly about 4 days behind.
