  1. Doesn't always pan out like that. QPR won't want to go down with a wimper, although they are pretty horrific so I do expect Newcastle to beat them. I can't see WBA losing 4 on the trot, they're a good outfit and will probably hold Norwich. I don't rate them at all for what it's worth, bog standard average side. Not much quality in there at all, could be in real trouble. A game against 2 teams both needing something often suits us better. For a start, the games will be open and attacking. Sunderland's back 4 is slow, leggy and struggles to cope with direct running and pace. If we can expose that and Jay can have a decent game, then we'll win comfortably.
  2. Probably a case of making the most of what we have. We could be more incisive, but our CB's clearly can't cope with pace and being exposed as they were early in the season. Best to play it safe for the remainder this year, and bring in the players next year who will make us more capable of being able to handle a more incisive game.
  3. Alcaraz and Figaroura are also missing for them.
  4. We should be, but the next week will answer it all Bizarre twists and results have dumped teams who ere safe...right back into it. If Wigan beat Swansea, Swansea are only 5 points from safety and they're 8th. It's absolutely insane. Teams like Fulham, who were 10/11 points clear a few months ago, could end up 2 points clear. It's more akin to the Championship. Swansea will be the most supported club in the land on Tuesday night. If they can get a result, any sort of result at Wigan, then we'll all be breathing a huge sigh of relief. What with Wigan playing an FA Cup final and then away to Arsenal in a week or so, they need to win this. It's kind of their last chance saloon. Win or bust for them.
  5. Thought we played well, controlled large portions of the game, but just didn't have any sort of cutting edge. Lots of retention in places where it just didn't matter, and didn't make any difference. For all our work, the only save LLoris had to make was from a set piece. We just lack that yard of pace to get into the final third quickly. There were times when Lallana did great, but they just caught up with him within seconds as he's so slow and it's one of the reasons why he's still here and not at a big club. I thought Guly did well enough, didn't do anything wrong. The way the results have panned out over the last 2 weeks is the thing of complete nightmares. It's beyond logic. Swansea will be the most supported club in the country on Tuesday night, and if they can do us all a favour, I think we can then finally say goodbye to Wigan.
  6. He can't be registered for our squad, but he wouldn't improve it anyway. Not good enough.
  7. Great finish, love the Championship for pure unpredictably and entertainment.
  8. Name all the mistakes? I can think of 1 last weekend, but up until that he was part of a defence that had gone 6 games unbeaten in the PL. He hasn't been doing badly, which is why he's still in the team. I'd say he's in there on merit at the moment, but would still look to replace in for the long-term.
  9. He's completely horrific, that's why he gets so much stick. Such a non-player, and bar a goal at Reading, what has he done for us? Absolute sod all, runs around, goes into a blind ally, losses the ball, fall over...repeat. Bolton fan's couldn't wait to get shot.
  10. Guly will be deployed as an AMC I'd expect. Puncheon is a winger.
  11. Aaron Lennon returns from injury to start for Tottenham against Southampton. nice one.
  12. Morgan will be a massive miss. and the fact that De Ridder has made it onto the bench shows how crap our depth is.
  13. We'd do well to attract anyone better than those 2.
  14. To be fair, for a period in that game the entire team looked out of their depth. We're a little more switched on to this league now and I don't think he'd be as exposed as he was that day.
  15. He's an Arsenal style player all over, and him and Wiltshire in the midfield - supported by Cazorla and Arteta is pretty mouthwatering. Morgan would fit their team love a glove. He's also young and french which helps. It would take double £10m and then some to get him though.
  16. That league is priceless!
  17. We're still 7 points clear with a better GD than any of t hose below us, nothing has changed for us based on tonight's result. What has changed is that Wigan are now getting cut adrift and have 1 foot through the door.

    Danny Fox

He works very hard to get back into position, as he's never in position.
  19. What has been wrong with the back 4 up until Saturday? Pretty solid, not many goals conceded, a few clean sheets. Pointless breaking it up. 1 defeat shouldn't change the entire belief. I still believe Jos and Maya are decent, obviously we can upgrade in the summer, but let's not forget their form prior to Saturday. I don't believe the coaching staff have.
  20. I meant prior to Saturday. People are talking as if we've lost 6 in a row.
  21. He'll be gone to a big club in the summer. He's unplayable when he's on his game, which is getting more and more regular.
  22. But if they won tonight and won well, I'm sure you'd still be saying they're now dangerous, they're a different side etc. I'm happier they've had a thrashing, a big dent on their GD and confidence and a key player missing for the rest of the season. Basically, they're still a **** side. That hasn't changed and won't change in the next 3 games.
  23. Of course they will show form they've not shown all season. And so will Newcastle, Norwich, Sunderland and Villa.
