  1. Firstly, why would they sell him, and secondly, why on earth would he even consider coming to us? He'd have the biggest clubs in world football at his finger tips. We wouldn't even calculate in his brain.
  2. One of the best young players in the world, basically. All the top clubs want him. City, United, Madrid, Barca - all been scouting him regularly.
  3. If Lamela signs I will streak at St Mary's.
  4. Same! Much better stuff to watch on TV tonight than this! Good to see you back btw..
  5. Looks like a classic Stuart Pearce performance so far. i.e ****.
  6. Imagine there are also a hell of a lot of players who are told they are free to look for another club (Chaplow/Hammond/Sharp/De Ridder/Barnard) to name but a few, I reckon we'll see a few mutual terminations this year as well. We've got so much deadwood in this squad, mainly because we've progressed so quickly, players bought a year or so ago to do a job are now never going to get a look in! Doesn't mean they're bad players...just not for our level anymore.
  7. Not sure why people are surprised by Reeves. Decent player, but he's over 20 now and if he was going to make it in the PL with us, eh'd have needed to make more of an impact here...and at the club's he's been on loan at. He'll be a star in L2 if played regular, can see him going there.
  8. If we were in the NPC, I'd agree. But he would add absolutely nothing to us, we'd basically be signing a worse option than Cork/Morgan and Davis. Not saying he's a bad player, but he's not at the level we're aspiring to be at.
  9. Glen Johnson is simply tosh.
  10. Even if they've made an offer, i doubt he'd accept it. No idea what they're able to offer that we can't, unless he is really caught up on CL football.
  11. Man, that's sad news. RIP Ron.
  12. No Zaha, Phillips will retire and Murray is out for at least half of next year. They need a hell of a lot of additions to stand a smidgen of a chance.
  13. Very true. He's had a very, very, very poor season this year, yet he's still called up for the upcoming friendlies. We've got English players in our squad who have contributed so much more this year, and will never, ever get a sniff. That's probably what's going to stop us holding onto them in the long-term.
  14. Version 27.0.1453.94 m
  15. Have no problem what so ever here. Chrome, Firefox, IE, Safari. Loads as normal as it ever did. (through Virgin and also BT ADSL).
  16. And yet another classic thread, started by Milton
  17. Lucky escape. Looks to me like agent trash though, to be honest.
  18. If Shaw leaves, he's a pillock. I didn't really hold it against Theo, Bale, Oxo etc. They were leaving to play PL football, possibly not straight away, but they'd have exposure to PL football which at the end of the day is what they wanted. Shaw has that, he's a regular in the premier league. Why would he throw that away to become a bench player? There's no way he would be first choice at either side, and he'd go the same way as the likes of Rodwell and Sinclair. From his point of view it would be sheer stupidity and purely money driven, and his career would stall for no reason at all. It would pretty much confirm that no matter what position we're in, we simply will never, ever be able to keep our best players. (Cue MLG...)
  19. Bloody shocking. This is possibly the only video with the killer speaking - http://order-order.com/2013/05/22/watch-itv-footage-of-terrorist-attack-aftermath/
  20. He was irritating as hell! He's also a Sheffield united fan.
  21. That Austin link is probably just agent generated. Can't believe we'd be interested now, got a feeling we'll be looking more into the European market and international level players rather than championship players. If we wanted Austin, we could save our bucks and keep Sharp instead! I rate them both as pretty much similar level players. It's probably a link left over from the Adkins reign. Would be staggered if we sign any Champ players this summer.
  22. If we have serious backing, then why not give it a go. But we'd need a hell of a lot of signings to be honest! Who knows what the ambition is though, we may all be surprised by the level of players we end up signing this year.
  23. Probably mentioned his disciplinary issue earlier in the season. No harm giving Kelvin a run out to be honest. Found it interesting that he got a guard of honour (sort of) in the behind the scenes video.
  24. They've got a deeper squad and more premier league experience, maybe not much difference quality wise in the starting 11's, but we don't really have much below the 11 - whereas west ham have a bit more depth. As much as I dislike Nolan, you can't hide away from the fact that he's a pretty decent midfield player. When they came down a year or so ago, they kept the basis of a decent PL squad. Nolan, Noble, Collisson, Cole, O'Neil, Taylor etc. They probably didn't perform to their maximum last year, but the squad they had gave them a decent head start in the PL.
