  1. Is St Mary's a hotbed of homophobia? You'd have thought it was a no go zone patrolled by the Taliban the way the club are going on about it.
  2. If anyone is after a prime halfway line view padded seat for Saturday, you better be quick, not many left at the bargain £70 price (these seats used to be sold out to season ticket holders)
  3. https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Women's_FA_Cup Southampton were in the final 10 times in 11 years , winning it 8 times, think there's a Southampton Women shirt on display at the National football museum marking this achievement.
  4. A family member of mine played for them in the 70s and has a few FA Cup winners medals, they were brilliant in that era but were not affiliated with the men's team.
  5. Unfortunately these people are particularly prevalent in the education sector , thinking theyre on some mission of enlightenment not teaching how to think but what to think.
  6. Thanks, wasn't there talk about him having a bad attitude or was that just Everton fans annoyed that he wouldn't sign a new deal? Assume from end of season in May until we signed him he wasn't involved in any training so he'll need a bit of time. Born in August 2004, blimey makes me feel old.
  7. A mate of mine did just that, they didn't give him season tickets but a printed match ticket for both West Ham and Wolves games.
  8. Yes they did previously.
  9. Every little helps. International football is crazy really, long distances for 70 mins football, hopefully he picked up a knock.
  10. Agree , unless I've missed it Saints have hardly made any effort to promote the fixture, perhaps they are hoping a small crowd will make it easier to cope when turnstiles fail again. If you manage to get a group of 8 it basically makes the tickets half price. In the past there would have been a few school / Sunday league clubs going as an outing but probably too much hassle to arrange in covid era. St Mary's is also hosting 3 games in the women's Euro 2022 next summer including an England fixture, good for the city to bring more events in like this with people spending money in town etc.
  11. I'd take the hint if I was you Sergei, they obviously don't want your custom.

    Other Games 21/22

It certainly can't be considered a great result, none of the B team made a case to play again, TAA out of position looks shite, JWP must hate seeing another double barrelled player in his place who isn't even a midfielder
  13. Yeah another massive win, they're far too good for the division they are in, it's a joke the fa just let Man Utd form a women's team and allow them straight into top flight, it's all part of the marketing agenda to make the women's game appear to be growing in popularity by piggy backing on Uniteds fan base. We'll have to do it the hard way and get a few promotions
  14. My daughter wants to go and watch them so might head along to Totton at some point, should be guaranteed some goals and a win in most matches this season, must admit I find it hard to watch , especially the goalkeeping can be painfully bad. For those interested England Women are playing at St Mary's on 17th September https://ticketingcontent.thefa.com/England Women v North Macedonia?gclid=EAIaIQobChMI8_q0rozo8gIVibrtCh3XYw9PEAAYASAAEgIOM_D_BwE
  15. The big question is have they fixed the ticket/ turnstiles issue or will we all be getting a refund again? Loads of tickets still available on general sale, not surprising at the prices charged, padded seat in Kingsland a bargain £70 for this fixture. Southampton boat show on as well at the weekend could add to the traffic.
  16. I read he was expected back after international break, not seen him in any training pics.
  17. Zagreb away, then they have Man Utd twice in a few days, will stretch their squad, how many players do they have on international duty? Could do with Rice picking up a knock in Poland on Wednesday night.
  18. I'm sure when we played them last season the commentators said West Ham have picked up more points at St Mary's than they have at any other away ground , not sure over what period but think since they returned to the prem (like us) in 2012. We've lost 6 of the last 7 games against them (home and away)
  19. He's doing well, playing alongside Erling Haaland and getting lots more minutes, he looks a more confident player than we've been used to. Played in the 1-1 draw against the Dutch last week and could get some more goals v Gibraltar on Tuesday, I'd be tempted to keep him in against West Ham.

    Other Games 21/22

Didn't go to a game today but I'm a big fan of non league, early rounds of the FA Cup bring up some great fixtures, good to see Sholing progress again. Many in attendance at Nantwich?
  21. That's how I see it, you'd imagine they'll be testing Perraud in training and he may well improve, I watched pre season and first two league games and he just seems to be lacking something. Theirry Small - doubt we'll see him for a while if he refused to train with Everton (is that correct?)
  22. Agree that Bertrand had declined and it was probably time to let him go, but I can't say I've seen enough from Perraud to convince me he's going to be good enough, fingers crossed he can develop, the fact he was dropped for KWP at Newcastle might indicate he's not going to be first choice just yet.
  23. The most excited the commentators got was when someone heard a monkey noise. Not audiable on TV, players don't seem to have heard it, but media couldn't wait to lead with it regardless, that was their pre determined narrative especially after the "social media abuse " in the Euros. Got to find some more racism.
  24. Didn't he go on holiday with Vestergaard after the Euros? Everyone assumed they'd share a car back to Southampton afterwards
  25. KWP and Livramento are top qualify, who is the third?
