  1. is anyone going to explain the joke then? where does calling a goalkeeper a wotsit become comedy rather than sounding like a bunch of giggling kids for calling someone a "funny" name?
  2. i have done it before as well coming back from Newcastle, not ideal but gets you back, plus most onboard tend to be asleep and i managed to get a few hours. Coach leaves Newcastle 23.45 back in London for 06.20
  3. the keeper wasn't ginger, he just had an orange kit. can anyone express their feelings in a bit more detail about what they found enjoyable calling him a wotsit? i am genuinely interested in how your minds work.
  4. the worst song in the football league. what is it supposed to be? funny? what is funny about it?
  5. I have always associated Middlesbrough away as being one of those classic away days, up north, tiny saints following, moody pubs, over the top aggressive stewards, this one should be a bit different. They only managed 14k crowd last night at home to Doncaster and being a 0-0 draw I can’t see many being tempted out for the late kick off on Saturday on sky against us. Any news on how close we are to selling the 4000 allocation? Would be good to sell them all but as with Peterborough can imagine we’ll have messages on here Friday night complaining they can’t book a coach as it is too late. Don’t think I have spoken to any saints yet who are going up and back in the day, loads seem to be staying in Newcastle, few in York, few in Darlington and a few staying in Middlesbrough should be some good celebrations around the towns of the north east if we manage to seal it. Pre-match pubs should be good if Bristol City beat Barnsley to confirm the Skates relegation before we play. some advice for those making the trip http://www.footballgroundguide.com/middlesbrough/
  6. will there be a game on BBC as well as Sky last day of the season?
  7. game is "not all ticket" http://www.theposh.com/page/NewsDetail/0,,10427~2737012,00.html so yeah you'll be able to get in on the night
  8. night game on a packed terrace, perfect roof for making noise, should be a cracker, really starting to regret not taking a half day for it and instead trying to leave work early and leg it up there, want to get a decent spot, over to the left of the terrace is the best i think as will fill up from the right, could do with a stanchion to lean against as well.
  9. when we played Derby 1st leg at home was early ko on a sat, away was a wednesday i think, suppose the games will be on tv and therefore we won't win anyway
  10. I can see Thursday night away to f*cking Middlesbrough!!!
  11. that is tickets "received" though, i doubt we've sold more than 3000
  12. Going to peterborough and Middlesbrough, I hope for the best but fear for the worst
  13. Jeremy Wilson is a saints fan so not surprising it is complimentary about us, but good article in a positive sense. I think our "style of play" is a bit of a myth, plenty of times this year we have gone for the lump it to Lambert route 1 tactics.
  14. the giddy said they are opening as normal, so would imagine the other wetherspoons are as well, from 7am, but no beer until 9am who knows on the other pubs, but they haven't been told to close so expect business as usual
  15. well worth it for anyone who "really wants to be there" £48 not that much really for a top seat for a game like this, i doubt the club are advertising it but put the word round anyone you know who missed out, good to have no empty seats in the saints end
  16. that is not a bad price at all, did you need to link with Reading? tickets going for £48 for top seats no excuses for those who really want to be there.
  17. there is no reason why women can't take other roles within the game, i went to swindon v oxford back in August, a Swindon player went down in injured and i was quite shocked when their physio came running on , her jugs bouncing around in a tight polo shirt to huge cheers from the crowd!! they even had a song about their physio having big tlts
  18. i think the songs at this game will be grealy dictated by the way the game is going, if we are 1-0 down i can't see us singing "who the f*ck is laughing now" or "you'll never play here again" as a defeat to them would go a long way in assisting them with another game next season.
  19. interesting, as Reading have sold out wonder if the home is database only now, should be a cracker, night game, full house perfect ingredients for a good atmosphere. surely we will sell out for Reading ?
  20. have the skates officially sold out now?
  21. surprised this still isn't sold out, tickets don't need to be linked, so that's not an excuse, it isn't on tv, you can get them in the chapel for £23. hopefully this will be sold out by the end of the weekend.

    Posh Away

but chances are we won't know that until after the Reading game the Friday before, so we'll either have a lot of people buying tickets on the off chance, or a rush for tickets over the weekend
  23. restricted view will be fine, it just means part of the playing area will be obstructed by a pillar, as everyone will be standing just get your pals to squeeze up and enjoy the atmosphere. how much cheaper are the tickets?
  24. i would suggest anyone who thinks they are having tickets sent out should check with the club as i think they are being held for collection. no duplicates at all for this one so they won't take the risk of them being lost in the post.

we'll have at least 5k tickets you'll get one no problem, more likely be able to pay on the day as can't see us taking that many midweek.
